I have been to this culver's a couple of times and it just doesn't compare to the others. Food is fair at best and service is horrendous. These workers obviously haven't heard of service with a smile. Today I ordered chicken tenders and waited 30 minutes for them to come. I respectfully checked once it hit 20 minutes that my food was coming and the cashier was rude and said to wait. Once the food came the employee shoved the food in my face and snatched the number out of my hand without even apologizing for the 30 minute wait. I should've just gone to a sit-down restaurant at least I would've gotten decent food for a shorter wait. Extremely disappointed. read more

I was so disappointed in my visit to Culvers. It's one of my favorite places for a burger, but not this time. The food was cold, and we received it so quickly we could tell it had not been "made fresh" after we ordered it. I thought that was their motto. This has happened twice now in as many years. Slow register people, one register. The guy only looked at my online order name and gave me the food. Totally blanked on the drinks. The people here don't seem to think about customer service until it's brought to their attention. I had to go figure out the drinks as I had already left. Don't be surprised if you have to repeat yourself multiple times. The food is good but how this place is run compared to other stores is truly sad. Of all the Culver's i've eaten at, this is by far the best. 100 percent of the time, the burgers have been perfect. From their presentation to their taste, it's heavenly. I've never once had an issue with this location. Though, I must point out, I've only purchased and consumed Dave's butter burger basket with Pepsi and nothing else. So I can't review the ice cream... but I'm sure it's amazing too. read more

If this was based on the overall taste, it'd be probably a 4 or 5. However, this is based on everything as a whole. I always get the same thing, and out of the 10-20 times I've ordered my burger, something was wrong. They either add what I ask to not add, don't add what I ask to add, or my patty is burnt. They are very willing to fix mistakes for free and remake the order, but there shouldn't be that many mess ups in general. I know a lot of people with the same problem, it's just very disappointing the lack of attention they put in. Also the cleaning of the tables is VERY improper, just a swipe off the top and the chair and that's it, no spray no corners, nothing. Which leaves salt or smeared sauces. read more

Although Culvers is on the outskirts of Sturgeon Bay, it's conveniently located off the highway at the north end of town. Years ago (in the 1990s), the location was just a local greasy spoon that was connected to a gas station, but since then it has been a very nice, clean and pleasant place to eat. A lot of older folks come here because the prices are very reasonable, and it is fast casual. It never gets so busy that you have to wait long to order, or that you have to wait for a table to be free. Culvers employs many people to keep the place clean and to keep the service fast. They are one of the only places open late until 10pm, which is nice since many of the local cafes and restaurants on 3rd Ave close earlier, especially in the off season. The food is always great. The burgers are excellent as the beef comes from Wisconsin farms and is never frozen. The frozen custard is also great and the flavor of the day changes daily. read more

The shakes taste very artifical. The cheese curds are very rubbery. The fries are like warm raw potato. The burger was A+ but the worker didn't offer any type of condiments. Its like, why ever go eat at a place that you have to do half their job for them? I would pretty much recommend going to Arbys if you want an actual pallet pleaser. read more

The Culver that was far & in between all the other Culvers. Good quality of butter burger & custard. I had a giant mint chip custard, and was totally enjoying it, until I read the nutritional content of what I was eating. 700 calories for 1 burger & 700 for the custard! AHHH!!! read more

Good place to take the grandkids. Food is nothing special but adequate. Burgers, hot dogs, sandwiches, decent french fries, salads. Nothing special, nothing bad. The kids like it and will eat and be happy. You order at the counter and then staff delivers the food. This system works well so the wait is usually short, even if crowded. We ordered 2 half chicken dinners to go and received 2 dinners with all white meat, 2 breasts and 2 wings. They were room temperature and dry, left over from lunch. My husband has been doing all the cooking at home recently due to a hip replacement surgery I had, so this was suppose to be a treat for us. I called the restaurant to complain and the manager said they were short on dark meat. I said I should of been told that when I ordered. I don't like white meat so my husband eats all the white and I eat all the dark. The manager was short with me as if I had nothing to complain about. I have since e-mailed them 4 times and have not received any answer. I didn't think they would rip off a retired couple on a fixed income. read more

If you don't mind repeating your order 5+ times, getting home to find 1/2 your order missing or wrong, having a manager tell you his employees work in a "fun environment" so it's okay if they're flaky, not being offered a credit or replacement for missing items, and the food you did get was crap, then this is the place for you.
