Hill Street was such a pleasant surprise! As someone who is local to door county, I've always been a super fan of the Bayside. Yesterday, however, they treated us like we didn't even exist. Literally someone in our group didn't even get a drink lol. So we quickly cashed out and stumbled upon the cute indoor/outdoor bar/restaurant and boy am I glad we did! Ethan was bartending and he was easily the best bartender we had all weekend. Delicious drinks - I loved the Rum Punch! Fries were deliciously addicting. They have cute beer and shot combos too! So nice you can sit outside at the bar too.

Visited with a friend a few weeks ago, and it was delightful. We didn't eat anything (but will definitely be back to try next time!). I've heard their burgers are amazing. Everything smelled great. We did however have drinks. The atmosphere and the vibe of the place - all amazing. This was probably my favorite place we stopped in all of Door Co. Someone is a Harry Dean Stanton fan and it shows. Bar is comfy and never felt overwhelming even when it was a bit crowded. Bartender was super fun and made a fantastic spritz! I also ordered special that was a beer, shot, and a pull tab - very fun and I won a dollar!

This has been the best option for this location. It was hat head forever, then some awful taco place.. Hill Street is an awesome local gem that is open later than anywhere I know of in DoorCo. The food is what I'd consider comfort fusion.. they have hangover noodles and fluffernutters on the menu lol. It's very different but everything I've had so far from there has been good, bar snacks, drinks, meals. The weird thing here is the service.. nobody was ever super keen to help or pour a drink. They seem grumpy or unhappy maybe? Not sure, but nobody really makes you feel super welcome if you know what I mean. No servers, it's a sort of self serve place from our experience. The first time we came in when they first opened, the owners were nice and we liked that they were locals.

Stopped in here between events and were lucky enough to get seats at a table on the shady side. All the food was wonderful. I was worried about the sauce they offer with their corn dogs, but it was unexpectedly GOOD. The food came out pretty quick. It was a little difficult to get a bartender's eye, so we could order, but it did eventually happen. Glad we stopped here.

the fries here. Unreal. Everyone walking by came in after seeing them on our table. So so delicious, served quickly, friendly people. Overall such a good vibe and fun/summery atmosphere.

Fun atmosphere and really solid food. Looking forward to my next visit. First time I am finished a burger in a long time.

Hill Street is my and my husbands favorite spot in all of Door County! We absolutely love the atmosphere of the outdoor bar and patio. The first time we visited it was early October, slightly too chilly to spend as much time as we wanted so we returned the following summer and it was even better. The bar tenders are great, down to earth and gave great recommendations. Their food is great; fries, noodles, grilled cheese and fluffernutter sandwich all fabulous. We'll be back!

Great spot in Fish Creek! We were passing through and stopped to have lunch on their patio. Simple menu but the items offered were creative and had a culinary spin on your standard bar food items. They don't serve ketchup but they make up for it with a disco sauce which was delicious! Service was great! You have to order at the bar, and although it was busy the bartenders were attentive and friendly. Well done Hill Street!

I don't understand why there are so many complaints about the "no modifications" rule. It's clearly listed on their menu and on their website. Personally, I wouldn't want to make any modifications as the food was fantastic the way it was intended to be prepared! We ordered the Old Man and the burger special - California King Burger with French fries. My fiancé still raves about this burger and says it's one of the best he's ever had. We loved that they are dog friendly and have casual, relaxing patio right in the heart of Fish Creek. We will definitely be coming back on our next visit to Door County. The only feedback I'd suggest is having ketchup. For a restaurant specializing in sandwiches and fries, you think ketchup and mustard would be a given! Or, at least offer extra complimentary sauces from their homemade selections.

Wow the drinks and service were great!!! We were able to sit with our bulldog and take in the scenery! Try the ELDERFLOWER SPRITZ!!! Amazing!!!!

Fun! Lovely spot in fish creek with great outdoor vibe. Delicious drinks and food and GREAT service. The outdoor vibe is nice- has both sunny and shady spots- tables on the patio and seats all around the bar. Our bartender and Scotty were wonderful, attentive and nice. Ordered the Elderflower Spritz (which was expensive for $16- but they do let you keep the rest of the canned bubbly) and a beer- they had Mango Cart on Draft . We ordered dinner: deconstructed nachos (the queso and beans are vegetarian - a huge plus!) which had a nice hot spice to them ). Asked our bartender for dinner rec for me (vegetarian) and she suggested the Charlie Brown. Glad I ordered- never had anything like it- what a fun combo of flavors with the peanuts and charred broccoli.

Their no substitution no modification rule is weird. They wouldn't even hold the mayo on my wife's fish sandwich.

We went around lunch and it was PACKED with of course limited indoor seating, crowded parking, people everywhere but honestly the food made it worth squeezing in. The tomato mozzarella salad was SO fresh and delicious, and the pizza absolutely lived up to the hype. We got the goat cheese & spinach pizza with hot honey and wow... whoever decided hot honey belonged on pizza deserves a raise. Sweet, spicy, cheesy perfection. Even my four year old loved a kick on the pizza. Now for the reason this isn't a 5-star review: the service. Our waiter seemed like he'd rather be literally anywhere else on earth. We had to ask multiple times for refills, and the overall vibe felt like we personally ruined his afternoon simply by existing. I totally understand places get busy, especially during tourist season, and we also had a four year old that was starving and was quiet about it with us so we weren't expecting royal treatment, but good service and a friendly attitude really do change the whole experience. The food? 10/10. The atmosphere? Cozy chaos. The waiter? Needed a snack, a nap, or maybe both. Would absolutely come back for the pizza alone. Just hoping next time our server likes people a little more. Solid 4/5.

This place has been on our list to visit for their traditional and popular fish boil (an evening…read moreevent), but instead we dropped in here for a Sunday lunch for our first visit. The spacious restaurant was not very busy. Our server was busy though as she covered several tables including several of their popular patio tables. I ordered their fish-n-chips plate lunch for $15. Wife ordered their lake perch plate lunch for $22 but requested the perch grilled instead of fried. She actually wanted the whitefish plate lunch but they were out of whitefish at the time. Both plates came with buttered rye bread and that was a nice, and relatively unique, accompaniment to the fish and fries. Our server first brought out a plate of fried perch but quickly realized the error and promptly brought out the correct grilled perch plate. The grilled perch didn't look grilled, and may have been baked or even microwaved. It was in ok range for her, but I probably enjoyed my conventional cod fish-n-chips more than she did her perch.
