The first visit we stayed during covid in December so it was just our group of 4 and one other couple staying in the resort. It was nice because it felt so private. We stayed in the resort rooms and we were surprised with how nice they are. Everything was clean. It was a bit small but we made it work. The second visit we stayed in their cabins and preferred it more. we got 2 bedrooms and each one had 2 beds so all of us slept comfortably. I loved that the cabin comes with a full kitchen and table so we spent our night playing board games. The park itself has so much to do. There are tons of hiking trails, horseback riding and even boat tours that take you up close to the waterfall. You have to go to the Moon bow at least once in your lifetime. It's when the moon hits the water at the right angle and you see a rainbow at night. It is a cool experience but it does get really crowded so you may want to come early. Cumberland Falls gave me unrealistic expectations for state parks because this what I feel like most state parks should be like.

The pool closed years ago and it would be a better camping area for families if there was a splash pad.

RV and tent camping are both available. It's part of the federal Cumberland Gap National Historical Park. We had non-electric site A-12 which was conveniently near the rest room. It was appropriately sized for us and was on a slight slope; others might need a larger site and to bring leveling blocks. Mid-April was still relatively cold so the campground was quite empty -- and quiet. We were concerned that we might hear traffic from 58 but it was a non-issue. The campground is in Virginia, in close proximity to the point where Virginia, Tennessee, and Kentucky meet. There are many hiking trails nearby, and it's only a few miles from the visitors center for the Cumberland Gap National Historical Park.

Floors very dusty with foot prints throughout . As I was the first to go into shower I saw a long hair on the wall of shower. Rodent droppings under sink and in small flipping cabinet at sink usually store sponges ! They charge $70.00 to your bill for a cleaning fee when you check out but I think they just pocket it! I would probably find other lodgings nearby and not stay here again .

Great crowd of people, a good mix of young, old, and families out riding. Bikes, ATVs, jeeps, razors, and saw a tracker. Some trails were closed or blocked off - i would assume due to danger? But there were so many you didnt miss one or two. Nice views from the wildcat dome. An old train tunnel, a lost boat, jurassic park trail... so much more.

It's quite a walk down the pier to the store and restaurant. There are cabins on other side of marina from Rv sites. Plenty of ramps to put boat in water. There is not a lot of signage where to go so got to ask many questions instead of someone explaining things to you. Prices are cheap right now. Average of $29 per night.

With several campground options in the Lake Cumberland area, I think I found my favorite…read more Initially, I had planned on staying at Falls Creek Camp Ground which was just a few miles up the road, but after I discovered Conley Bottom was almost the same rate AND CB has full hookups, I made a last minute route here. When we pulled in, it was about to storm and almost dark. We were greeted at the store which was apparently closed. The gentleman explained that he would just come by in the morning to collect the due. He also said that there isn't any pre-booking available, everything is walk up only. Right now the rate in the first RV area is $24 per night. The rate increases for the season on 5/20/17. The second area RV section doesn't include sewer hook ups and is $4 cheaper. The second area is where the playground and dock access that leads to the marina is and seemed to currently be more popular than the first area. The views from both sections overlook the marina and beautifully picturesque. They have several large, pull through sites. We stayed in site L which was the closest one to the lake. None of the sites have lake access, but the marina is within a few minutes walk. A very important and possible deal breaker for anyone concerned about the drive there is that it is a narrow road and if you're heading in late when the boats are headed home, they take up most of the road and you practically have to pull off to allow them to pass.

Had to disconnect water and electric to move the RV closer so my hose would reach the sewer. Not good! UPDATE: three days later and on our way back I tried dialing about 14 times while on Interstate 75 and the call wouldn't go through and not because of my phone because I had three bars most of the time so we had to keep driving because maybe they shut down
