First I just want to say they are VERY nice people and very fast. However, in my experience they do not return garments in expected condition. I received garments still covered in lint and pet hair, and quite wrinkled. I just feel that when you bring something home from a dry cleaner shouldn't have to still lint roll and iron it. Also, they did not get the stains out that they assured me they would. For the cost, I just don't feel I can give them my business. However, they are really sweet people and do turn things around d very fast. So if you aren't expecting perfect, they may be a good option for you. read more

This place is GREAT! I had a suit and a dress that I needed dry cleaned, as well as fixing the buttons. I was in the market for a place to dry clean, as I had not yet used this service in Charlotte. This place is close to home and had good reviews, so I decided to try them. I spoke for quite a while to the gentleman working. He told me that they do all their cleaning in-house (with the exception of some extraordinary stains), let me know when I could pick them up, and gave me approximate prices. They have a bar code system in place to keep track of all the items you bring in. If you drop your clothes off on a Wednesday, you get 25% off. I thought their prices were reasonable; I had a three piece suit, dress, and the repairs for around $29. They also have a lady in on Tuesdays and Thursdays who does alterations, and those prices seemed quite reasonable as well. Yes, I may have been able to find somewhere a little cheaper to get my clothes dry cleaned. Still, I greatly appreciated the service and explanations that I got from the employees working there. When I drop my clothes off, I want to know that the people I leave them with are going to take care of what I brought. I will be bringing my stuff here from now on. read more

Love 2001 Cleaners. I only have a few items that need to be dry cleaned, but these guys always do the job. Pretty standard, really. Come in, drop off your stuff and come back next day to pick it up. Always done with a smile and you can't really go wrong. Here's a tip: Drop off your stuff on Wednesdays. 25% off and you can drop off anytime during the day. Pretty darn good deal. These guys and gals are always friendly and helpful. Also, their seamstress is very nice. She fixed a pair of linen slacks that I have (Who says "linen slacks in a Yelp review anyways?) and did a great job. Great job, 2001. Keep truckin'. read more

I've had my fair share of bad experiences with dry cleaning. You name it, it's happened. Destroyed a fabric, bleach stains on my clothes, items gone missing. I have terrible luck. Maybe that's why I don't play the lottery. This all changed the day I walked into 2001 Cleaners. This place was recommended to me, so I figured "sure, might as well keep looking for a dry cleaner until I find the one that messes up the least". I took in some clothes that pretty much looked like I spilled something from every dinner date I've been on in the past month. Wine, salad dressing, pasta sauce, coffee. Total mess. I showed 2001 cleaners all of the spots and they only marked a few that needed some extra attention. The rest they said would come out during the normal dry cleaning process. I was skeptical, but she was right!!! I've now taken clothes here several times and each came back with great results. No stains, no damaged fabrics...just beautifully cleaned clothes and a shocked look on my face. My dad has been using Cookie at 2001 Cleaners for as long as I can remember, so after getting married September 29th I took my dress there for cleaning. I can't rave enough about the quality of my gown (and service!) My dress looks brand new, was delivered in a beautiful box, and there wasn't one mascara stain left on the handkerchief I used while saying my vows. They send out one really sweet coupon a month- BOGO, percentage off, all comforters for $20 etc. You can also get items tailored there- I have gotten a few work items done. Make sure you drop off on Wed. for 25% off every week- you can't combine that deal with the sweet coupons but hey there is a lot to love. read more

The woman at the counter gave my daughter the stink face when we tried to drop off several items for cleaning. She was rude the entire time, huffing when I asked how long the service would take. We took the clothes back and left, will find somewhere that appreciates the customers a little more. read more

2001 Cleaners is, by far, the best dry cleaners that I have ever used. For the moment you walk in, you can tell the owner cares about the business. It is clean and the desk staff are always friendly. Over the years, I have brought in pieces with hard to clean stains. The result is always positive. The owner is very knowledgeable about stains and working with delicate fabrics. I had some clothes dry cleaned here a few days ago. The turn around was a day, which was awesome, but my favorite sweater feels hard and scratchy now and looks a little pilled. I don't normally leave reviews, but this experience warrants one. My wife showed up at 6:00 on the dot to pick up some clothes I dropped off because I was stuck at work. They just shut the door in her face and locked it, didn't have the courtesy to even speak with her, just made hand gestures that the register was already closed. Now, I understand if you close at 6:00, but that is no way to treat a customer. If she has time to walk up to the store, have a sign language conversation with the shopkeeper about the door being locked and the register being closed, and then walk all the way back to the car and call me by 6:01 you did one of two things: close the register early or lie about the fact that it was closed. The reason that I won't be coming back isn't because they wouldn't complete our transaction, it's that they think locking the door in someones face and refusing to even speak to them is acceptable. It is not, and I will not be utilizing their services again because if that's the way they treat you, how do they treat your belongings? read more

Within an hour on my expressing concern that we couldn't get our laundry which was time critical because of a power outage at the site we use, the owner called me and arranged for our picking up our cleaning as soon as the power came back on at the location. The power outage was caused by a situation out of his control. . THAT IS QUALITY SERVICE! Been with them many years and this absolutely confirms why we will continue to take our cleaning to them. I have been to this location a few times and each time I have had an article of clothing returned damaged. They Manager told me they have not had a single issue in over 30 years... I find this hard to believe. They were very apologetic at first, stating they would do whatever it takes to remedy this situation. A few days later, I received a call saying the damages were not their fault and I would have to "take this up with the manufacturer". I have had two shirts returned with holes and one new dress pant with a very large burn spot (about 4x4 inches). I would not recommend this business to anyone. read more

2001 Cleaners was highly recommended by several co-workers. I had a dry cleaning "emergency". A less reputable cleaner had shrunk 27 pieces of my dry cleaning, nothing fit, and it was all ruined. I was told by others there was nothing that could be done to save my wardrobe. My coworkers convinced me to bring the clothes to 2001, just to see if there was any hope. I brought the items and they worked a miracle! I knew this was a different kind of dry cleaner because while in the store every customer was greeted by name as soon as they walked in the door.
