Curiosity has us roam through the backwoods of Loganville. The building was an unmistakable remnant of *affle *house, but the conversion have locals swear as one of a kind. Everyone is recognized as they walk in, immediately asked if they would love a cup of coffee (but no saucer?), and a followup question at the table of hiya doin. The pancakes are fluffy good topped with a chunk of butter. Pour syrup to your heart's content. Omlet eggs whipped light & fluffy with the same buttery goodness. The tray stocked with Smuckers Jam was only grape. Is that because patrons ate only all the strawberry or they only serve purple? Hmmm. Bathroom needs a remodel. Locally owned. Been on the list to try and was a block away from an errand so we decided to check it out; and glad we did. Non-descript building with an interior that is on the small side with a number of booths and a full length counter with stools. Only open for breakfast and lunch so get there before they close for a broad menu that covers everything including healthy (generous) portions of diner favorites with down home service just as you'd expect from your favorite local diner! We split the Reuben sandwich with a side of fried green tomatoes. Now, we aren't exactly from 'around here' so take it from a 'temporary local'. It was undoubtedly the BEST Rueben sandwich I've ever had. Yes, I've had plenty, and yes, I've had much larger sandwiches that you can't fit in your mouth; however, I've never had a Rueben that had a perfect balance of corned beef, sauerkraut, Swiss cheese, thousand island dressing on perfectly (I mean PERFECTLY) toasted rye bread like this one! Fried Green Tomatoes were great, but that sandwich was to die for! Can't wait to come back for a burger and especially the country fried steak! Happiness awaits! read more

Better than Mel's Diner! Great little place with great comfort food. The service is like going home. The decor is granny's kitchen. You are welcomed and made to feel at home from beginning to end. It's granny's kitchen with biscuits the size of a large fist and amazing gravy... The only down side is you are going to wait to be seated. This place is busy all the time but worth the wait. Really enjoyed my breakfast food here today. We went at lunch. Hubby had the country fried steak sandwich with tater tots. He liked it but said he thought it would have had gravy on it. I had the breakfast plate that comes w/ 3 eggs, choice of meat, hashbrowns and biscuit & gravy. I really liked all of it, especially the cheese eggs. The bacon was a little on the dry side. All of the servers were very nice & helped each other out. We'll return for sure. read more

Upon entering, I didn't feel very welcomed.. no "Good Morning!" in that Southern drawl I've become accustomed to. But then I sat at a table and Courtney, aka Cornbread, was my waitress. She was sweet and pleasant and dished out all that Southern-ness I expected. This Jersey girl didn't know there was a difference in hash browns and home fries!, but Cornbread took the time to make it clear. The 1 egg omelet was HUGE! The french toast was sprinkled in cinnamon and powdered sugar. The HASH BROWNS were fried just right- I tend not to care for them.. they never seemed thoroughly cooked through. The true essence and feel of a Southern Diner. The menu is extensive and their food is good. The waitress was very kind and my order came out shortly after I placed it. Facility is dated. It is as it is. It is clean and prepped for COVID-19. Walk in and your greeted within seconds. As a fat man I would like more options with moveable chairs. Menu was presented. Drink order taken and time given to review the many options. The gent at the next table ordered the chicken fried steak and I jumped on the bandwagon. The breading was shockingly tasty and light. The gravy was a bit bland which chases the rest of the meal. Green beans were absent of flavor. The sweet potato casserole was a disappointment. So why 4 stars and not 3? I like the place. This is a great DINER. I want to stress that first. If you are looking for fancy this is not a place for that. The food is good and served fairly quickly. The mine had a large variety of options as befitting a good diner. The staff are very friendly and will always give good advice on what's good if asked. This is a great place to go if you can't decide what you want. You can just go and get a large variety and not have to choose. Being a diner with a large menu, you are not going to get gourmet food. It is however, better than your standard waffle house (no in not knocking waffle house I do love them too). The deserts are large but not always very good. But I am very picky with sweets. Give them a shot just be willing to wait if it is busy. read more

Love the old school diner spot! Very simple, cozy and comfy. The food is perfectly homemade and yummy! Good portions although me and my friend enjoyed it so much we were piggies and cleaned our plates! The service is great! Our waitress [wish I remembered her name to give a shout out] was really awesome! Very friendly, upbeat, attentive but not overbearing. Also got take out from here and still great service! They get very crowded but our wait to sit down wasn't bad and when I got take out, I called it in, told the girl how far away I was and she agreed to wait a few minutes to put in my order to time it right and the timing was perfect. My order was ready when I got there. When I dined in, we both got the "Full House" breakfast which had a little bit of everything and substituted a pancake instead of toast. The pancakes are delish! The food at The Cup and Saucer is very much comparable to the Waffle House, which is a good thing. I can think of only one possible improvement ... remove all the tables and replace them with beds. Consistently excellent customer service. Most dishes are excellent. I love the cheese grits and they put tons of cheese in their eggs. They are always busy on weekend mornings but they turn tables over extremely quickly. With really great prices, this spot is a great local choice to eat. I've only had breakfast but they do offer lunch and dinner choices. My husband is diabetic so one of our favorite things are the diabetic-friendly pies. The Oreo pie is reallllly good.
