I was in the bank and the guy standing in front of me raved about this place so I decided to check it out. The restaurant has a down home Mom/Pop feel to it. I was greeted immediately and asked if I was dining in or ordering to go. I told her I was dining in and she told me to sit anywhere. I ordered the one egg breakfast with cheese grits, pork sausage and raisin toast. The breakfast was good, nothing spectacular, but it wasn't very filling at all. I felt like I ordered a kids plate. Of course, I was still hungry after eating so I ordered a cheesecake with added strawberries and a pizza to go because I heard their pizza is good. Cheesecake was really good and I loved that they gave me plenty of strawberries. The pizza (meat lovers) came out burnt around the edges but it was still good. They do have daily specials and I didn't realize that until after I had already ordered. I will definitely order something more hearty the next time I come. I can say the service was exceptional! This is one of those situations where I'm in fear to blow my coveted secret. I love this restaurant. Food outstanding, service A+++++, value and affordability phenomenal. We are so lucky to have a restaurant like this in our neighborhood. This morning I came for breakfast, the special was $8.95 for two humongous eggs (your style), two buttermilk pancakes as big as my huge plate and choice of bacon or sausage. Woo-hoo I found Terrance (formerly a server at Sam's on Main in Grayson)! Love him! Best server ever! Also, excited to finally try Main Street at their new location by Ollie's in Snellville! The shift took quite some time and I hope all the regulars come back because the food is still slammin'! This time I had the 2 PC catfish with 2 sides. Mashed potatoes and green beans for me and everything was delicious! Plus fish dishes were on special with a $1 discount. My buddy had the country fried steak with mashed potatoes and black eyes peas with cornbread. He didn't leave a crumb lol! I rarely start a review off by saying this place is worth a visit ... especially for breakfast. Hubby and I stopped in one Sunday after church for brunch. We were greeted several times by several employees as soon as we entered. We were seated within a couple of minutes. The manager and several employees and family members of this family owned eatery are experienced restaurateurs. They know what they are doing. Bill the owner can be seen walking around making sure everyone is okay. His wife can be found in the kitchen directing and assisting with the preparation of her signature recipes. We had salmon croquettes/egg and chicken/waffles breakfasts. Both were very good. We'll be back again. This a family styled restaurant ... with a family eatery feel! Highly recommended'! read more

My experience was horrible. We went to enjoy breakfast however it turned into a disaster and a waste of time and money. The waitress took our order: chopped steak, eggs, grits and toast(we asked that his toast come out last, HOT, out of the toaster) and the spinach and feta omelette, with cheese grits and one pancake on the side. After waiting over 20 minutes for our meal, it finally came out. However, it was wrong: it was a bacon egg and cheese omelette- no pancake along with the chopped steak meal and COLD, hard toast. I didn't order that! I politely told her that was not what I ordered. She told the kitchen as if I had placed the incorrect order. Mind you we were siting 4 feet from the window. Seeing that it seemed to be a problem, I went up to the waitress who took my order and said I'd like to cancel the order. Well, that's when it seemed to go downhill for me. The other employees start talking about me, asking each other what was the problem....Let me set the stage: this is family business and they were "hosting" their family who were seated in the center of the restaurant. Here is where it continued to go downward. Abagail approached me, questioned the fact that I asked to cancel my order. She then gave me a condescending look and glared at me stating that the meal was already being remade; do you want it or not with a nasty tone. After waiting another 10 minutes for an omelette that was "supposed" to be ready, I was further upset. No grits and no pancake. Abagail was very unprofessional, condescending and disrespectful. She did not take accountability for the service, the wait time, the messed up order or the fact that I was unsatisfied. My husband paid for the order which cost us $30.46. We will not return to this family owned business. Now, I'm sure our service won't make a difference. Maybe you will be treated better than I was. read more

I found this restaurant on Yelp and since it's in my neighborhood I decided to stop in and check out the menu offerings. The restaurant was extremely clean inside and outside where there are tables and chairs for dining when the weather is nice like today. Inside is nicely decorated with charming nostalgic items. Their menu has something for everyone as there's a lot of good breakfast, lunch and dinner meal choices to choose from. What caught my attention is that they had my favorite sandwich listed. I absolutely had to order their Rueben. Man.......was I pleasantly surprised. The sandwich made with lightly grilled rye bread had just the right amount of tender corned beef, sauerkraut and Swiss cheese, and topped with thousand island dressing. My order came with a side of plump crinkle fries and dill chips. Prices are very reasonable and affordable for family dining. They have an "A" rating and warm and friendly staff (kudos to Cindy, manager). With weekly specials Main Street Restaurant hours are 7am-2pm Monday - Tuesday and 7am-8pm Wednesday - Sunday. I've been to main street several times on account some family worked there. I have had several uncomfortable experiences dining and despite originally leaving a positive review to promote the business and help boost morale I have to be honest. This is the worst establishment I've ever stepped foot in. Not only is it aesthetically ugly, it is run by an UGLY family and that ugliness seeps into the quality of their food. After nearly being poisoned by their chicken salad after dutifully letting their servers know I am allergic to nuts (still received a dish with almonds all in it), and bracing through their DISGUSTING bland grits and "home fries" in order to read and be in peace; I was disrespected by the owner of this establishment -- Bill, and several of his workers. If you are a person of color, do not come here. If you are geriatric in a negative sense, have low self respect, and/or love food reminiscent of the mutton of oppression this is the place for you! I can't imagine how this place has stayed in business, especially with the numerous health code violations and mistreatment I've personally experienced and witnessed to his workers over the years. In truth, I will be surprised if this business or any of its franchises exist past 2032. Not that my words or people matter here, clearly, I hope that more people see the heart of what main street off Wisteria's operations entail. I guarantee it is far from the "welcome family business" they masquerade as to be. Disgusting, will only return to laugh at it's demise and thank God for His justice. read more

Me and my boyfriend decided to try this place out. I ordered the Steak - which was really good and cooked how I requested, seasoned perfectly so I didn't need to add anything to it. The Mashed potatoes and Mac and Cheese were okay after adding salt and pepper. ( I am a stickler when it comes to mac and cheese this wasn't my favorite) the mashed potatoes would have been hotter (in temperature) the sweet tea was great.
