I really want to like Pamendi's. I want to like it more than I don't like Frateli's. If I had to choose I would choose Pamendi's every time. This evening we chose a Greek salad, battered mushrooms and a meatball sub. The salad was just okay. It was served with the heel piece of a loaf of bread. The battered mushrooms were a disappointment. I expected mushrooms coated in batter then fried to perfection. Instead, the previously frozen concoction with a loose batter was a disappointment. The portion was large and served with two containers of Italian dressing but not worth the calories or expense. The meatballs themselves were just okay with a bit of Italian seasonings. The sandwich itself was large, however, it lacked sufficient sauce. The sauce was barely there and much needed to overcome the dryness of the meatballs. The bread was nice. read more

We have returned to Pamendis Italian Grill twice in the past couple of months to check it out again. We found everything to be improved - the restaurant is neat, clean and well decorated, the service staff are friendly and efficient, and the food back to being what we liked most about Pamendis! The basket of baked warm, crusty bread with seasoned olive oil is delicious. There is butter available, but why use butter when seasoned olive oil tastes so much better? We have ordered several past favorites and found them all excellent in flavor and portion size - Baked Spaghetti, Baked Pamendi's, and Tortellini Gabrielle. Our server kept our drink glass filled and checked on us several times, including bring another basket of bread. The manager also chatted with us, and appears to have turned the restaurant around. If you were once a Pamendis fan and stopped eating there, please give them another try. You will be happy to have our neighborhood Italian restaurant to enjoy again! read more

Wow, what can I say about this place after visiting on a Saturday afternoon with a friend. They have traditional Italian food that you would expect and the service was incredibly top shelf with everyone being super pleasant and even owner Jay stopping by to say hi. Me and my table mate both had sandwiches. He had the meatball sub and I had the chicken Parmesan sub. The presentation was amazing and the size was so huge. I could only eat half of it. My only regret is not taking photos to show everyone how incredibly good the sandwiches looked because they tasted amazing. read more

On my third visit the experience was the same as the previous visits. Great service and food with huge portions. The prices are reasonable to say the least. The entree comes with soup or salad and wonderful bread. Calling it soup is a disservice. Ambrosia is more fitting. It's the best soup I have ever eaten. We met a group of friends for dinner at Pamendis on a weeknight. It was my first time here. Our server Ella was personable, kind and handled our big table with a smile and excellent service. Several of my friends around our table of 9 have been here before and recommended it to us. We all enjoyed our meal and will definitely come again. Some of the highlights were the Lasagna, Manicotti with meat sauce, Tortellini Gabrielle with Blackened Chicken- (mine), Chicken Parmesan and Chicken Carbonara. Someone at our table actually ordered a hamburger! I am pretty biased about Italian food, so I would suggest that you order the Vodka Sauce, Alfredo or the meat sauce which had a really nice flavor instead of the Marinara. But that's just me. Each entree came with your choice of soup or a salad. We were all so full we needed to pack half our meal up and bring it home! The food overall was okay. I wanted pasta, but something light so I ordered chicken piccata. While the taste is necessarily bad, it's really really oily! Really oily! And flavor-wise it feels like something is missing. The garden salad literally is a bit of lettuce, a slice of tomato and a couple slices of cucumber. I have known about Pamendis for a while but was hesitant to try it because I'm picky about my lasagna, which is what I usually get. Luckily I had a DoorDash discount for pickup. Sooooo that being said, it was one of the worst lasagna entrees I have had in a while. Maybe ever. First of all, there was no ricotta on the lasagna no where. Ok, if you're going to do that please make sure it's nice and flavorful. Definitely felt the absence of it. And personally I'm not a fan of ricotta on anything else but lasagna and maybe some Italian shells. So it's not like I love it or something. Moving on. I took my first bite and I could only taste cheese and meat sauce. There really isn't anything in between the pasta layers. The meat sauce is just plopped on the top and sides. And it was salty. My husband loves Italian and even he can usually find something good in any classic Italian dish but he was very disappointed in my entree. He ordered chicken parmigiana which was only slightly better but salty as well. He finished his dish but wouldn't mess with the lasagna after the initial bite. I could easily see this as a school lasagna that was made to cut down on costs. The lasagna was very amateurish in my estimation. I have done a better job on my own. In addition I received a house salad with only lettuce and 2 halved cucumbers. The complimentary bread had no flavor. No butter. Decided on dinner from here after holiday travel. I was happy they're open! Delivery was timely. Food temp was ok and packaged ok. I wished for more bread for our two entrees. I was not at pleased with with dry lasagne noodles topped with sauce and cheese. There was nothing between at least two sheets of pasta (pictured) and just barely anything on most other layers. The restaurant called to tell me they were out of spinach ravioli. They asked what I wanted to substitute for it. I said I'd Ike the shrimp Alfredo. We saw the menu online and were impressed by the selection and decided to try it. We went with the Bourbon Salmon and Shrimp and the Greek Combo Platter. The serving sizes are large! The Salmon and Shrimp were seasoned just right and came with a lot of vegetables. The Greek Combo had lamb, chicken and meatballs, soft pita bread and feta cheese. Excellent! Let me start by saying that we have liked Pamendis from the moment they opened their doors. We go at least once a month. We have even had large family birthday gatherings several times here. But let's get to the true service I just received! The last time we were there, we expressed our disappointment that we seem to always miss when they make our favorite soup. (It's fresh and we never know which one they will have) I left my name and number and jokingly said to call when they had our favorite. I just received a voicemail!!!
