I had a great experience at this Cupbop when I went to lunch during work. I went with a group of five and all of our orders came out correctly. The people working were helpful and prompt. It was pretty empty at lunch time (just us and a few others) which surprised me but maybe it's because this location is at the mall. I got the cupbop with the ugly chicken. It was delicious. Everyone in my group liked their food. One member of our group is gluten free, so we appreciated them having their gluten free options labeled. Workers are very kind. They're attentive and get things done in a timely manner. I've been in while it's slow, as well as during large rushes. When i've been in and it's slow, the workers are sweeping and mopping or cleaning other things. The food is delicious, I am not a super big fan of the sweet potato noodles, but everything else is delicious. read more

The Cupbop location at Fashion Place mall is my favorite! Don't worry - you don't have to go in the mall because their entrance is on the east side not far from the Container Store. It's quick and easy to pick up your food to go or you can eat in. We went for the KoKo Bop as always, but split it with the Snow Bop chicken. Both were delicious and we went for a spice level 6; quite mild. The combo looked intriguing, so we also added Mandoo (ask for your favorite sauces on top). We couldn't resist trying a K-Dawg, just cheese, no Fruity Pebbles or whatever, and just ketchup and honey mustard. It was amazing and we devoured it before we got home! I use a spice preference of 4 out of 10, although my experience has been that the spice levels are low for the score, so add a couple points to what you think you want in order to feel some heat. I don't know how busy they were right before I arrived. I just asked for a cloth and cleaned two tables. One for us and one for whomever came next. We were there for an hour. While there they received 3 groups including ours. Between the three employees none of them could be bothered to come out and tidy up the dining area. Trash overflowing, every table filthy, only one table with customers, and two employees sitting and staring at their phones when we left. Maybe they were both on break. I recently tried Cupbop, and being from HI, I had high expectations and kept myself from trying this place for the past four years... The food was so good! They have a diverse selection with fun sides and the fact that it comes with rice and noodles in the bowl is awesome!! Also, it is affordable for the quality and quantity of food. You look at it and think it will not be enough, but it is. I recommend getting the combo bowl with the Korean beef and the spicy chicken. So good!! Their mando is also amazing. This place is better than some Korean food places I have been to. Such as The Angry Korean in UT. Literally the same stuff, but Angry Korean is way more expensive and does not give as much as Cupbop does. The service was great! The guy helping us out was nice and helped us out. *this is for the new Fort Union location* I spent $18 for my food that was also supposed to have double meat in it. When I received my food and started driving to work I noticed they gave me a kid size cup that's less than half of the normal size. I was frustrated but called the fort union location and their staff and manager were SO nice. They refunded me and genuinely cared about the mistake. I've been a fan since the very first truck and I remember it being quite a show with that original crew. I've followed the growth and seen them grow from that first truck to over 20 locations over several states. Good on ya, crew! This is a tricky time to be in the food business, so I was stoked to see that this location offers a pickup option and that I could order directly on Yelp (via Grubhub). I tapped a few buttons, and got a message that they would be ready in about 20 minutes. The store is set up for takeout only, though you can come in and go down the line. Parking might be tricky if there's a crowd here at Fashion Place, but luckily I found a front row spot. If you're driving around looking, note that it's on the east side, next to the container store, and it has an external entrance and is not part of the food court. I went in, and my order was on a shelf labeled by the 3rd party service. In and out in less than 60 seconds. I got the combo with pork and beef, and also had a taste of the chicken. Both are good, both were ordered at a spice level three, and both had a lot more spice than I had bargained for. It was stinging, for sure. At $10 each, you're not exactly eating on a budget, but if you compare it to a sit-down spot, you're coming out on top. Overall, it's become a pretty common sight in SLC to find Cupbop, but it's fun to get one every so often and cheer on the crew that started all the way back in 2013 with a dream and a bowl. read more

I've been to Cupbop before, just at a different location. I came here with a friend who hadn't had it before and I was excited about this location specifically, because I think right now this is the only one that has the dol bop (stone bowl that is heated up to keep your food warm/hot and placed in a wooden box so you can handle it). We came in at dinner time but there wasn't anyone else in line other than the 3 of us. The first person got a normal bowl so that was pretty quick. My other friend and I got the dol bop and they said it would take a little longer since they had to heat them up. We didn't mind waiting since we weren't in a rush. I don't know how long we ended up waiting, but it was way longer than we thought it should have been. There were 3 people working that day and it didn't look like they had the whole process down so they were very inefficient. If you get the dol bop, I would recommend mixing everything up after a bit because I didn't and when I ate some of the rice (which gets packed into the bottom), I ended up burning my tongue. I had the hot bop and it was good, I just don't know if the dol bop added much to the meal where I would get it again. That being said, the restaurant itself was very clean and it looked very new. The workers just have to be more efficient, especially if a lot of customers came in all at once. read more

The people that work behind the counter are super friendly and energetic when they're serving, they make sure to ask questions to help give you the best service possible, and the food tastes amazing. I've had Cupbop before and it's not my favorite in terms of flavor and quality for the price compared to similar fast-food Asian options like Zao. However, I'm giving it a 4 star because I appreciate its existence at fashion place mall. It's definitely one of the better offerings when you see what's at the food court. I got the level 2 ugly bop which is the fried chicken with the glass noodle and rice stuff. Just enough spice for me. So, this was my first time visiting the fashion place mall location. I thought I'd give it a try since it's considered the "home" location, at least according to all the posts on facebook. Big mistake! I ordered the combo with spicy pork and ugly bop Korean chicken with some mando on the side. Went to try it, and it was COLD. Like... Yeah, the meat had basically been sitting out, under no heat for who knows how long. The mando was not any warmer. I promptly went to return mine.(My boyfriend said his was warm, so he ate his. He got beef, so maybe it was.) When I asked if they could make it fresh, they said that was all they had. I asked for a refund, the kid said that he and the one other person working there were new, and that they didn't know how to do that. He asked me if I'd like him to call his manager to ask. I said "yes, I would". Finally, after two calls to the manager, I got my combo refunded. We just got home and my boyfriend immediately headed for the toilet.
