    Cheese Toppoki

Really great wings, everything else is so so. Have you ever gotten a basket of wings, and one is great, but the next one is overcooked, then the next one is dry, but then another too wet? Well, you won't have that problem here. The wings are pretty near perfect. Crunchy and juicy, and the hot one is addicting as hell. Also tried the kimchi fries, and they were just okay, the fries were crispy, but the kimchi was pretty bland. Same with the cheese toppoki, other places inside/near Chinatown are better. I'll definitely be back for the wings.

We tried Mad for Chicken and went with a half-and-half order of boneless and bone-in wings, both with their signature sauce. The flavor was solid sweet, savory, and definitely craveable though not the best chicken I've ever had. The radish and coleslaw were refreshing sides, and the bulgogi mac and cheese was a fun, rich twist that I'd order again. The atmosphere is lively and bar-forward, with a good beer selection that pairs well with the food. Overall, a good spot for casual vibes and tasty comfort food. Solid 4 stars from me.

This place was quite the surprise. The mac & cheese is incredible. Definitely not from a box. Delicious! And the chicken is fried it's so perfectly crispy, but the batter is so thin. I don't know how they do it. All the chicken was good white meat pieces no fat no tendons no gristle just good crispy chicken they've got quite a few different sauces to try if you check the menu, you ask everything was good. The restaurant or seating area is clean, nice and new lots of big TVs. This place is a real win.

We are Mad for Chicken. If you like spice, they have it. They can even tone it town. Fresh chicken the way you want it with a smile and helpfulness. They were all so kind and accommodating. A Korean twist to some of the dishes and an American twist on Korean dishes. The decor was clean, fresh, hip, and exciting at the same time. Catch a game and Demon Hunters at the same time. We liked everything we tried and the dok pokki was amazing, staying soft even after it cooled down. We didn't have big enough stomachs to try everything to try it all so we'll be heading back soon.

IMPORTANT: They are in a soft opening for two weeks and their hours will be 4:00-8:00, M-Sat. After their grand opening, hours will be 11:00a-11:00p M-Sat. Brand new restaurant featuring Korean style chicken in South SLC Chinatown. But you haven't had Korean style chicken like this! They will be having their soft opening on Monday, September 1. You really need to try them out, it is outstanding. I met the owner, Sean, making a FB Marketplace transaction. We got talking. He's Korean, I'm half Korean. He said he was opening a new restaurant and invited me to come and try it out, so I did. They aren't open yet, but we sat down and enjoyed a 2 hour visit. He had his cooks bring me out a plate, which you see in my photos. So first let me get to the food... FANTASTIC! There are two sauces, soy and spicy. He makes both of the sauces with his own recipe, manufactures them in Korea, and ships it over. He has seven well-known and established restaurants in NYC! This is his first in Utah. Anyway, the soy sauce is slightly sweet. The spicy can pack some heat. The chicken tenders are moist with a thin crispy outside. SO good. The sauce is SO good. The fries are the same, thin crispiness on the outside. The toast? It is called egg toast and it is like a rich French toast. So unusual and good. You really have not had Korean chicken like this before. You must try it. I was privileged to get a "sneak peak" taste. UPDATE: The wings are SOOOO good. Soy and Spicy options like the tenders. Perfect thin crunch outside, moist and tender inside. Great flavor, so delicious. The avocado salad is perfect. The dressing is light but not too light, sweet but not too sweet. Very delicious and refreshing. The bulgogi over rice is delicious. Comes with grilled green onions, diced white onions, and a spring mix lettuce. He has plans to open 150 stores in five years. (!!!!!!) Go. There. Now! 5* = A top favorite. Mind-blowing good. I will definitely return and I will go out of my way to go here. Worth every dime of my money. 4* = Outstanding. Top-tier. Some elements not quite as good as it gets, but it still is worthy of my regular business. 3* = Good experience. I might do repeat business if it is convenient, the only option, the only one in its category, or on a whim, but would not be among the first thing to come to mind. Would definitely recommend you trying it to get your own take on it. 2* = Not so good. Would not recommend at all. Waste of money. 1* = How are they still in business? Stay away at all costs!

I saw this on social media so we went to try it. It is a bit hard to find and hard to park. It is in a group of Korean shops so parking was hard. This is a new place so I would recommend giving it a try. As for me I loved the parmigiana fries. They are crispy and had a good flavor. We also ordered the chicken strips. They are not your standard type. They are tempura layered and fried so very crispy as well. The issue is you get mild med and hot. No other sauces are offered. They don't have much flavor. They need some honey mustard or something. The service was not bad. It was a bit slow but the food is fresh. The place is new and clean.

    5 piece wing combo

Service was fast, friendly. Clean, cute, lots of big screens. Tried the 5 piece spicy chicken wing combo with a side of kimchi. Chicken was juicy, flavorful and had a decent spice. Fries are crispy and mad sauce is good. Side of coleslaw was nice. Kimchi was tasty. Overall would comeback again and try more things for sure!

Wings half and half is spicy when they come hot to the table then mellow as they cool down.

Great food, service. Clean fast tasty The pot stickers where very tasty but not true pot stickers because they're deep fried. Wings soooo good and stay crunchy. Sauce very tasty.

Let's talk Mad about chicken! You know I love my wings so I'm pretty critical about them. You know those chicken drumsticks tha come with Chinese food? That is the batter of the chicken. In regards to sauce.... It's just not enough. Cost wise is on the high side as each wing is almost $2 a wing and a 5 piece just chicken is close to $10 and the meal that includes fries and a drink is $15 . I also ordered the Mac n cheese and it was a white cheddar with sweet steak which did not match the flavors. The ambience is pretty cool. I like the big screens. They had a basketball plane and monster trucks and some K-pop stuff going on good music lots of choices of drinks and for that I'm giving it a 3 out of 5 stars.

7 wing combo with fries and buttery toast
    David T.

Food was decent got 7 wings in a combo. The bread was flavorful and buttered really well. The fries were really good had a nice crunch and would get it again. The wings were a good size with lots of flavor and their hot had a decent spice level to them.

My favorite Korean fried chicken hands down in SLC. As a NYC transplant I'm so happy to see this. Food comes out piping hot, crispy AF and the flavors are so good. Hot has a kick so be prepared but it's so worth it. Service was quick and the staff were super sweet. Can't wait to visit again

    7 wings meals.

Counter order vibes. Fast and friendly service. Parking right in front for customers . That alone is amazing!!! Parking can be so horrible in Chinatown. The wings are so crispy. Light. Not a thick batter. Wings inside is tender. Tteokbokki is delish! Good flavor and good texture. Kimichi fried rice is okay. I have had better. More on the vinegar side. Very kimichi.

We just tried Flavortown over the weekend! I know ghost kitchens are super popular right now but…read morewhen I heard that Guy Fieri had a ghost kitchen in our area, I just had to try it! We ordered the cheesesteak eggrolls, a burger, and an order of the cajun chicken alfredo. The prices were mid-range, the presentation was upscale, and the flavors were fabulous! I was really impressed by the intensity of the flavors, you definitely went to flavortown with this food! We ordered the philly cheesesteak eggrolls because we were intrigued. When they arrived, they were so weird but like amazingly good! They came with a sweet and spicy ketchup type sauce and more of the cheese sauce that's inside the eggrolls. While I wouldn't be able to eat a lot of these (they are oozing with so much cheese it makes my lactose sensitivity flare up) they were like crazy good. I could totally see somebody with a better tolerance of cheese downing the whole box. Also, it goes without saying that none of the food is health food. It's definitely an indulgence. We happened to finish a hard day of snowboarding so it felt like a nice reward to order some Guy Fieri's Flavortown but it's definitely not something I could eat every day. It's super rich, super indulgent, and it definitely tastes like it! I would also add that while the prices were a little high for what you expect from a "delivery only" experience (they don't do pick-up at all - just checked!), I will say that the portions are huge and the food is delicious so it seems worth it for the money. Bonus! you can supply your own drinks to save some money at home! We loved the food and we'll totally be ordering again!
