The gift shop was full of interesting little trinkets, very much in the tradition of a roadside attraction. The bakery was well stocked, and I was pleased with the quality of the donuts that we purchased. Michigan cider is hard to screw up, and this place gets it just as good as most of the others. Having it available as a slushy is a nice touch, and it's not something I've had before. On a nearly 90 degree day it was a welcome bit of refreshment. I knew they had amazing sweets of course, but had no idea the other quick breakfast/lunch options. I ended up selecting what I'll call the pickle pizza. Posting a picture. I am a pickle lover and have tried most pickle foods...this one was AMAZING. I'll also add that despite it just being a grab and go counter, even in those instances you can have bad service. Needless to say, this was our first stop before the Festival of Lights Parade started. There have been some changes made to the interior since our last visit (another cooler for drinks and misc goodies and a couple shelves of specialty cookies, etc).
