A very big plus for an Iranian restaurant. Usually they're packed. I think it's because the location is not as visible, and the Bay Area has a few other Iranian restaurants that dominate the market. For popular demand, they opened to the public, then moved to this location a few year back. Most things here are "buddhism compliant", if your restrictions are strict, ask for the exactness. Recently, they started to offer "wheel pie" 車輪餅. It's a popular Japanese/Taiwanese snack. Basically a pancake-like batter to form the shell made a mold, then fill with whatever. This nostalgic snack were well made: crisp shell (toast oven reheat well) and fillings delicious and at the right ratio. Pick your own flavors among about a dozen.

There are lots of uncommon fruits and veggies, like fresh jujube fruits, prickly pear cactus fruits, and specialty herbs and greens. It's a great way to support local businesses and farmers, while keeping excess produce out of the landfills. The open-air market style also allows for individual selections of produce, and considerably less plastic packaging!! Don't forget your reusable bags, but if you do, they sell some and they even offer green, compostable produce bags available for any quantity you are in need of. Foothill Produce is particularly great for discount deals on ripe produce if you are keen on same-day recipes. They also have a large selection of European, Russian, Polish, Middle-Eastern, and Jewish foods (fresh and frozen). The market always has apples of almost every variety, seasonal products, fresh breads and challah, and plenty of standard groceries as well. Fingers crossed for a bountiful 2026. I must admit it was a bit uneasy at first, because folks & cashiers speak Spanish, I was wondering if they can speak English. After finding what brought me here - weekly flyer specials on 67 fl oz Canola & Olive Oil Blend for $5.99 (normally upwards of $10 even at Walmart), and brought to the cashier, who stepped away at the time, however, another Mexican lady who manned the Money Wiring Service next to the register area, spoke in fluent English, "she will be right with you! That put me right at ease, as I wasn't sure if they can speak English. The cashier then showed up, and who was rather nice as well. So, if you're in this neighborhood, I highly recommend it

This week I decided to finally set foot in this supermarket to see what it was like and oh man, I love this place. I love that it never got a renovation and still feels frozen in time. I love the shelf space organization and the overall vibe, especially with the Chinese music playing throughout the store. I was very surprised with the amount of Filipino products available for purchase (I'm Filipino) cause I wasn't expecting to see so many familiar brands and ingredients in a store very close to home other than Western Pacific. I really liked the variety of snacks and items from Sheng Kee Bakery available too, I thought that was pretty dope. The service here was pretty good too when it came down to paying at the register, the staff was very friendly and welcoming. I really wasn't expecting this supermarket to lure me in the way it did but I'm happy it did and I'm looking forward to continuing to support this local gem.
