Bathroom is absolutely disgusting. Management should be embarrassed.. Overall the store has a great selection. It's very large so of course you could do your shopping there and if you live nearby, of course you would, and this is a certain level of respect that any establishment needs to have for the health and well-being of its patrons so the store is dirty. It's unkept it's un vacuumed. The pharmacy was fine. I picked something up no problem there but when I asked where the restroom was it would take me probably an hour to two hours to clean that bathroom because it's so disgusting if they hire someone to come in there and scrub it from top to bottom and then they maintain it. They can simply tell whoever it is an employee that day that there's a sign-up sheet you're assigned you get to go in every 30 minutes or so for five minutes and straighten up the bathroom. Alot of stuff here takes forever to be restocked and when I asked an employee they told me that alot of that stuff was just sitting in the back. This CVS is really scraping the bottom of the barrel. This review is for non-US passport photos. I went to get photos for a French passport, which they claim to be able to do. After waiting for 10 minutes for someone to take my photo, it became apparent that they don't know the French photo requirements. France requires a light background, but it cannot be white, which was the only background that they had. It's possible that they change the background digitally, but the person taking the photo didn't know, and I didn't want to risk it. It's shocking that a large corporation doesn't know the requirements, but claims to. Luckily, I avoided a wasted trip to the French consulate. I have made CVS aware of this, so if they should not claim to meet the requirements for France. read more

This is a review for the pharmacy, not the store. They're just woefully understaffed. So I don't blame the pharmacists per se, but the wait time is unacceptable. I'm the first one in line and there's only 1 person behind the counter working on some other stuff with a consult patient. If this is core part of your business, staff it appropriately vs frustrating all of your customers. It's just common sense business practice as there are too many other choices for fulfilling prescriptions. read more

They have eliminated any option to speak with a human on the phone, the pharmacists refuse to call providers to clarify vague instructions, they are condescending to customers, and they disappear for "lunch" at odd hours. A negative experience at this CVS store was the result of discrimination and unprofessionalism. Today, I had a terrible experience at this CVS store. The cashier, Christina, initially indicated I could return items without a receipt. Still, when I began speaking to my son in Spanish, she became annoyed and called over the manager, Art. Despite store policy allowing returns without receipts for store credit, the manager rudely denied the return, stating that it was at his discretion. The whole experience was extremely unpleasant and left my son shocked and thinking I was being accused of theft. Christina and Art both discriminated against me and made assumptions about my character because I spoke Spanish. I've filed a complaint to CVS headquarters. read more

The employees are rude and they dont know how to even process when people are picking up their orders! Injust had a horrible experience with an employee named Fava. She frowned when she saw me and then just cut me off when I read her the order number and then yelled 'just show me.' While it was nice to have such a close CVS, honestly the service was so subpar I frequently forgot it was nearby. The store itself was fairly organized and clean, but the times I went in usually consisted of my grabbing the item I wanted quickly and waiting in line for 5 minutes behind a single person. The way the checkstands were laid out was really not optimal and there seemed to be no real waiter area. This lead to people cutting in line rather often, which in a 1-2 cashier max situation, was a recipe for annoyance. Always ending in the person in front barking out that there was indeed a line. One employee in particular was incredibly slow and seemed to consistently have trouble cognitively, almost as if she were on something. I would watch her interactions with other customers dumbfounded that the eye rolling, facial expressions, and general lack of any rush was keeping her employed. A few of the other employees seemed fine, but I tended to get her as a cashier, so perhaps I noticed it more than most. While CVS is my go to store, I honestly cannot recommend this location. If there's another location closer to you, you should really use it. read more

The CVS had a parking garage right next to it with limited spaces. We were here for a few minutes looking for something. The aisles looked clean and there were a handful of people here. The one girl who worked here was helpful and answered our questions we had. This place was okay and I wouldn't mind coming back if I needed something and was in the area. read more

This is a like Charles Dickens' "A Tale of Two CVSes"! Normally, there isn't much to write about when it comes to visiting a pharmacy; however, today I made two separate visits to different CVSes and OMG, what a huge difference when someone WANTS to provide excellent customer service (vs. one who couldn't care less!) A Little Set-Up: in previous trips, I had earned my beloved CVS Extra Bucks, $5!!! It's about to expire in a few days, so I wanted to use it before it went wasted. I had noticed that my sales receipt, especially the portion where the Extra Bucks is has become faded, and I "may" get refused because I bet they will run into scanning issues. 1st Trip to CVS on 576 East El Camino Real: When the thin Filipina lady tried scanning it, it wouldn't work. She just told me, it's not working, this Extra Bucks is no good! HUH? 2nd Trip to CVS on 1165 W El Camino Real ( a couple of miles down): Same difficulty was encountered when the sales associate named Briana trying to scan, she tried several other ways to no avail. So, she waved the store manager Juan over, they took so much time trying to get me my EARNED Extra Bucks to work. Remember, they didn't have to, but they took the time to help me out! CVS was my primary pharmacy back in college days and early post-college days, but I went for about 1.5 years afterwards without a CVS in sight. Now that I am back in an area with tons of CVS stores, I'm not sure if I want to go out of my way to a CVS anymore. CVS used to be very good about advertising prices like 2 for $10 so each item was technically $5 each. Now I see that they've started to do that pricing where it's $5.79 each OR if you buy 2 it's $5 each. What. CVS I thought you were better than that. Also, at this particular location, the layout is very strange (why is there a gigantic column of stuff near the front registers?) and the decor feels outdated now. read more

Worst pharmacy I have ever been, I got there at 7:00 PM and they said I need bring my insurance card instead of telling them ssn, I ran back home and came back at 7:30 PM(30 minutes before they close). But they said it is last minute so I can't give you your medicine. The thing is, they took my prescription when I arrived at 7:00 PM. Come to this place if you don't have a second choice. The store itself is a pretty good CVS stocked with plenty of makeup and toiletries and supplements and hair dyes- I've been able to find almost every miscellaneous item I've needed including crutches at this store. The store staff are very nice and I witnessed one lady cleaning up after a customer's dog who had peed on the floor- she kindly petted the dog after she was done and was cheerful and positive to the apologizing customer. That kind of display of character made my day- I would be pissed in the same situation but that lady taught me what the alternative could be. Now... the pharmacy itself. Goodness. When it works, it works. You get your prescriptions not very fast, usually there's a day of waiting from when they are received to fill. But when it fails... it fails. This pharmacy has failed to give me certain medications and when I asked about it stated that they assumed that I didn't want it because it wasn't approved by my insurance. I was upset that they hadn't notified me of it until I actually came to pick up the other one that this prescription had been ordered with- I had to call my doctor and let them know about needing approval which was pretty instantly done and then it would come back to CVS and I'd have to wait days. Communication would help a lot. They also don't fill prescriptions that may not be covered by insurance but you plan to pay out of pocket even when the doctor sends it over- you have to explicitly tell them to which wastes more time. One medication was placed on order for weeks and never actually delivered- I ended up needing a harsher medication because of the lapse of treatment. The pharmacy hours are pretty limited compared to others in the area and a lack of an express pickup like at Walgreens means you might be stuck in line behind people having similar issues to what I mentioned above. Great store staff and good selection, pharmacy needs work though. read more

LOL =) One of the many amenities of living in downtown Mt. View is that everything is walking distance for Art and I. And now, we have a Longs Drugs in our neighborhood. =) Not only do they have plenty of parking outside (new parking garage) but this store is BIG! I got here to pick up pain medication after a serious dental treatment. The pharmacist said I'll have to wait an hour for him to get his lunch. I politely explained my situation and told him that I'm in pain. He said there's another pharmacy (many miles away) that's got two pharmacists, maybe I should go there. This is the WORST CVS pharmacy I've had the displeasure of having to use. Slow, slow, slow. It doesn't matter if there is nobody in line and nobody waiting, expect to wait 20 minutes to be helped while the one pharmacist they have there answers calls, taps on the computer keys forever and ignores your existence. If there is a line, forget it, add another 30 minutes. This is not a once in a while thing. It is every single time I go there. There is no sense of urgency in anything. I dropped off a prescription this morning and said I needed it ASAP. She looked at me like I am crazy. I am in severe pain and she thinks it's crazy that I want the medicine ASAP? 30 mins was the best she could do because there were others waiting. Fine. I go to Starbucks and come back 40 minutes later, now cutting it close with my train to work. At this point, there is no line, and nobody waiting. She tells me "It's not filled yet." I ask her how much longer and she tells me another 20 minutes. WTF? It takes you 60 minutes to fill a prescription when the place is empty? I decided to just go another day using expired pain medication from a prior procedure so I can get to work on time. I tel her "I will just deal with the pain and come back later." She gives me the same puzzled look as if to say "I can't believe he wouldn't wait!" Um yeah, I have places to be... like work, and don't have time to sit around all day long on siesta time. Going to see if I can get all of my prescriptions out of this CVS and go to a different one. read more
