CupLux was super convenient! The drive thru service was quick and friendly. I took advantage of the Monday $1 drip coffee, it was a 16oz cup and pretty good. When I ordered I asked for cream and sugar I was asked "how much" which for me is a strange question...do I answer by pumps or packs? The server and I figured it out and I enjoyed my coffee. I also ordered a bacon egg and cheddar cheese sandwich sold as a half on sourdough bread for $3. I enjoyed the sandwich more than the coffee. They advertise the bacon as "thick cut" and they're not lying. It felt more like a slice of ham which I prefer but if you're into crispy bacon this wasn't that. One of my favorite coffees in Charlotte (and love that it's a drive-through) - their white chocolate mocha latte is the best! Staff is always friendly. They offer dog treats when we bring our pups, and love the free mini Magic O's (honey nut Cheerios) cup they have for kids (it's the small thoughtful details). Great rewards program. I wish they'd expand to more locations in the area (Starbucks doesn't even compare)! read more

I've heard of this drive thru coffee shop a few times, so while I was on this side of town I figured I'd stop by. On this first visit I got the cold brew with soy milk and caramel syrup. The flavor was ok, but the unfortunate part was that it didn't look appealing. The milk was immediately separated from the coffee and no amout of stirring could fix that. On my second visit today, I got a hot caramel latte w/soy and an extra shot. It was absolutely delicious which has restored my faith in this place. The cheese danish was delightful as well. The customer service is excellent Update - I am updating this review due to the EXCELLENT customer service. Please read the response from the manager. Service is really well. Place is clean, it's all drive thru and the coffee is really good too. But I will admit it's pricy. I get a simple large iced coffee. It's 6$. For one iced coffee? Really ? Not much else to say except places are starting to price gauge simple cheap things. read more

Caramel ice latte! OMG - my new obsession! Although the cold brew slushie is big draw in (it's also amazing), but don't forget about this latte! It was SO creamy and is a great contender for one of the best in Charlotte! I know that's a bold statement, but it was really that good! The caramel syrup was the perfect blend of sweetness. This coffee spot was the perfect place to stop on my way to concord. The fact that it's drive through sold me right away. I went around 8:30 and there was no line, my order was taken immediately. They do have bagels and muffins, but not any food other than that. The only thing I didn't care for was the price, but I think all coffee shops are outrageous nowadays. I got a caramel latte 16 oz and it was $6.20. Even with the price, I'd still come back here. My coffee tasted great. read more

Yummy, creative coffee drinks! Drive thru only stand on freedom drive. I'm not sure this is something you would just stumble upon. We wanted to try the delicious drinks we had seen on social media, so we headed over to try. A bit hard to get to depending on which direction you're coming from. We enjoyed the ginger maple espresso soda and the mocha habanero. The espresso soda was sweeter like I like it, and the mocha was less sweet and dark chocolate-y like my husband likes it. Perfect amount of spice really. Apple cinnamon hand pie and pecan coffee cake were fantastic! Good portion for the price as well. Good pairing with the coffee. Kind people, too. I've been wanting to visit this place. We came by because I saw the cherry soda expresso drink on their Instagram and wanted to try it. Hmmmmm, it wasn't bad. At first, it seemed to have too much espresso, but after a while (maybe once the ice melted a little) it wasn't too overpowering. I don't think I'd order it again, I'm actually anxious to try their lattes. My Love had a coffee with cream and sugar. The coffee was really good. The barista was REALLY fun! From the very limited interaction I had at CupLux, I enjoyed my experience! The building may be a little bit hard to find, but as of right now they have a "Just opened" sign to help direct you. And the purple building helps too :) The Lady and I passed it going away from the city and had to do a U-Turn, not sure if there's a better way, but I'll probably do a quick search next time. Anyways, the process was easy and the menu is very clear to read, and simply laid out. I had a question on what one of the teas was, and the girl on the headset didn't know so she immediately got her manager, who took over and explained it to me. I ended up sticking with Earl Grey (I know, I know, I'll do better next time), but The Lady got an iced Coffee, which they make with Enderly beans. Support local!! Prices were a bit on the high side, especially for my tea, but the coffee was on point for a local roastery. CupLux is awesome! Truly a hidden gem. All of their coffee (I've tried maybe 5 drinks) have been amazing. Lattes are truly crafted with care, their rotating Carolina drip is great and I love trying new local brews. They have a small menu but I just tried one of their blueberry muffins- amazing. Breakfast half sandwich is pretty good. Only suggestion is I wish there were bigger sizes of lattes available! The only thing better than their menu is the people that work there. I've talked to a different person almost every time I have come, and have had genuine conversations with the nicest people each time. So, if you're leaving the city, it's not the easiest to get to (there's a median in the way), but heading into the city, it's a quick, and satisfying, stop on your way. The drive thru is efficient and the people working there are friendly! This trip I went with the sour cherry espresso, based on other reviews, and it was very interesting. I will say it was tasty, but I don't think in my coffee repertoire. There's a great deal of beverage variety on their menu, and I can't wait to come back and check out some other coffee concoctions. read more

This place is quick, their drinks and food have all been delicious. I've had their warmed croissants, and breakfast sandwiches. They have sweet and savory options. I regularly get their Vanilla Coffee Slushy that comes with whipped cream and a caramel drizzle if you like as well as some of their lattes. They also have the option to add a shot of espresso to either of those (as well as other drinks). I LOVE the fact that they are drive through. Not very many coffee/breakfast places other than Starbucks and Dunkin available for drive through, and those usually have tremendously long lines. I feel like the quality of their drinks and food is much better - I love supporting small businesses and especially local coffee shops, and I recommend this place to everyone! Finally ventured down Freedom drive to try the infamous 'Cold Brew Slushie'. I have to admit, I was fully prepared for this to just be social media hype and the coffee to be plain basic. I was so wrong. The Vanilla Cold Brew Slushie is definitely not just a gimmick, it's a damn good treat. It was creamy & cold, and perfect for the 95 degree NC summer day. My wife ordered an Iced Caramel Latte and I have to say, it was one of the best lattes around Charlotte. Way better than any of the other local coffee places. I love their one dollar drip Mondays! It's hot coffee only, but their house blend is delicious. They offer sodas, teas, and various coffees (no blended drinks). As well as breakfast sandwiches and breakfast sweets. Their lattes are creamy and good. Prices are standard for coffee shops, but sizes are limited. They offer homemade flavors such as hazelnut and caramel, but none of those specialty flavors you may get ay a larger chain. Overall a great place. I have been eyeing this place for awhile and finally decided to give it a try, and it was amazing. I got the draft vanilla latte and it was delicious. It was a sweet cold latte, but done well, not sickly sweet. Way better than anything from Starbucks. Since it was draft, it didn't have ice so your cup is full! I also got the bacon, egg, and cheese on a bagel which was delicious as well. They made sure it came out fresh and hot! They kept apologizing for the wait for my sandwich, which wasn't long at all. Just because it is a drive thru, doesn't mean it's fast food! I expect quality like this to take a few minutes. It wasn't the fanciest sandwich I've had, but it was hot and fresh. And the service was great. Everyone had masks on and they just did a great job. I also made sure to wear my mask at the window as well.
