Pros: Crepes are yummy, variety of espresso drinks, outdoor seating. Cons: Very slow service. I have been to this place 3 times now, and not one visit went smoothly. The first visit was within a month of their opening, so I chalked up that experience to it all being new (confused employees, messed up order, slow service). There are not enough tables for 2 people in the back patio, so you feel weird taking up a table for 4+ when it's so busy. The manager (owner?) was very nice, apologetic and helpful. The second time was about a month later. There were 4 of us in the group and all of us ordered a crepe, we were told it would be a 20 min wait... That's fine, we also ordered coffees and were there to chat. Little did we know apparently that meant 20 mins per crepe, not a single one came out at the same time and we basically ate one person at a time, extending our visit about an hour beyond what we had planned to stay. Third visit, I figured the inside was still figuring out their stuff (how to run a cafe), so I ordered two things to go. A crepe and an avocado toast. The toast came out first, on a plate. I reminded them it was togo so they scooped it into a togo container, the egg fell off and half the bacon was left on the plate. The crepe came out 15 mins later, neither was offered in a bag with plates, forks, napkins etc... By the time I got home (less than 3 miles away) both the crepe and the toast were cold and soggy. It will be a long while before I decide to go back here. read more

Growing up in this area, I've always said that Old Orcutt needs a fun coffee shop to bring the local community together, and that's exactly what Cups & Crumbs has done. I came here on my birthday for breakfast and it was a good experience. Absolutely loved the outdoor seating since the decor was beautifully put together. My boyfriend had the monte cristo which was hella good. The crepe was delicious and big. Their iced coffee was sweet and strong in a good way! The coffee definitely kept me energized throughout the day, especially since I had a busy day. However, their breakfast bagel sandwich wasn't my favorite. I think if they had sausage rather than bacon bits it would've been better. Overall it was a good birthday breakfast. read more

Great prices! And delicious food. $5 for avocado toast with a runny egg and seasoning? Not bad at all. The workers are extremely nice and have integrity. They all put in effort to make fun, quick conversation with our group. We ordered a fruity tea drink and a few minutes after receiving it, the barista approached us and said she was making a new one for us because she realized they had used the wrong type of tea. We hadn't even realized. It was so refreshing seeing that effort. Only negative is the lack of indoor seating. It is southern Cali so the outdoor seating is great for most times of the year, but it was raining today and there were only about 5 tables inside. We stopped in on a Sunday morning at just before 9:00 and were seated immediately. Unfortunately, that is where the good service stopped. 1 of our 2 orders were brought to the table and ten minutes later, we had to go to the kitchen to check on the other. It had to be remade. After it arrived both meals were good but one was cold. This visit gets a 1 but we may try again. Good luck. read more

Place is hopping. Small locale but seating cleverly placed to make the most out of the space. Outdoor seating also available. Free WiFi and very helpful staff. Visiting family for the week and we decided to take a walk and they mentioned this place just opened up! So packed for being so new, they must be loving it! Even with it being so busy the girls (and the gent makin the crepes) were so calm and we're pumping out orders like it was nothing! The other thing I like is that they have so many alternative milk choices! Most places will only have almond and/or soy but they also have coconut and oat milk! The girls are also so sweet and thoughtful, I had requested a mocha and they originally thought it was dairy free, but they came and told me after that there is actually powdered milk in it. Sad! The majority of the seating is outdoors, so be prepared if it's a little chilly outside. But, they do have heaters which help a lot. They keep a trash can outside near the seating, which is the reason I believe there were flies constantly swarming us. The majority of our time was spent swatting them away. Our server finally greeted us after some time waiting, and he brought out our drinks relatively fast. After waiting a good while for our food, a server in a different section noticed, and seemed more concerned with helping us than our actual server. She brought out our food and our check. The restaurant as a whole seemed extremely short-staffed, and it was clear they were all doing the best they could. As far as food goes, I ordered the bagel breakfast sandwich on an everything bagel and it was AMAZING! Other people in my party ordered the omelet, which was good, and the sunrise avocado toast, which was cold. Not only was the egg, avocado, and toast cold, but the egg (ordered over easy) was way over-cooked. Cute place for breakfast in a small town, but the service and food needs some help. read more

Went here this last weekend. Inside is small, 2 of 3 tables had people at them. One open table had the store cups and stickers on it. We asked if he could sit there. The young lady went to the table, returned saying they had their cups and sticking on the table and asked if we wanted to sit outside. No, unfortunately we didn't want to sit outside in 45 degree weather. Always too many teens working there who are too distracted flirting, gossiping, being teens. I had 3 underwhelming experiences here during their first year in business and so I hadn't been back, I gave it another try a few weeks ago with a friend. I walked to the patio area grabbed a spot out back, as I said it's been a few years since coming here, well apparently they now offer service with seating. Someone approached me and extremely rudely asked if I wanted to be seated. I replied yes, that I was waiting for a friend. She replied that I can't just sit there unless someone had helped me. Mind you I walked in through the front door, waited in the front area for a few minutes, made it all the way down past the barista and cashier and was not greeted or acknowledged by anyone. It was so completely awkward. I confusedly apologized to the employee said I didn't know they offered table service now, and there was no hostess or check in area. She continued to be rude and handed a menu and walked away. I would have left then and there however my friend arrived and she had ordered at the counter. Our waitress who came after was actually friendly and I told her what happened and she did apologize saying she hates when they do that , implying it happens often. There were plenty of open tables so no need to make a customer feel uncomfortable or unwelcome because you didn't have a proper hosting area to greet people. My coffee was good but I'll definitely continue to avoid this place, bummer Orcutt needs small shops and restaurants. read more

This place is perfect. Service was impeccable! Waitress was very sweet and accommodating to our two young children. Food was excellent.
