Curb-It was recommended to me on Nextdoor when I was looking for someone to haul away one medium size piece of 'junk'. I didn't actually use the Curb-It service - the horrible web interface when registering scared me off before submitting for an estimate. And I *really* don't like having to provide a credit card just to register. Maybe it works better on a mobile device but beware if you plan to use a computer for your Curb-It transactions. Based on the reviews here, the actual service looks to be good but I'm old school and prefer to use my computer whenever possible - so even if I did have a bigger job, Curb-It likely would be one of the last junk services I'd consider based on my recent experience. read more

After getting a quote for $350 from someone I found on Craigslist, I decided to keep looking. I found GoTrashy and went to the website and filled in the form, snapped a couple of photos and 40 minutes later -ON A SUNDAY AFTERNOON- I got a call & a quote for $180 and the guy would be here at 5pm (90 mins later). Showed up ON TIME! Very professional & friendly. I ended up adding more stuff- yard furniture and a few other bulky items to the load for additional $50. What a great service this is! As a busy working mom, Go Trashy has been a life saver. I can usually find time to clean stuff out or to make a trip to the dump, but I never have time for both. I also don't own a truck, so taking some things is a challenge. Go Trashy simplifies everything and saves me time and effort. All I do is snap a photo, post a request, and once they've accepted, put my stuff on the curb. Even better, they will take donation worthy goods to places like Goodwill, making me feel better about my impact. They have been quick, professional, reasonably priced, and a life saver. Used GoTrashy for the first time yesterday... Love this app! Was half the price of the other companies I got a bid from. I took pictures of the items and within 10 minutes had 2 bids.. .Junk was gone within 2 hours. The guys who picked it up were super friendly too and they spent extra time picking up some small pieces that had come off of some of the items. This is like the uber of junk removal! read more

Although I did not use them, I would possibly consider them in the future. I booked them for a couch pickup 2 weeks in advance. The driver who took my job was responsive and professional, at first. However, 2 days prior to pickup, I contacted the driver to request a pickup time window as he was supposed to give me, and the driver informed me he resigned from the company, and gave me another person's phone number to confirm my pickup. When I contacted the new driver, I was informed that no arrangements had been made to schedule my pickup, so they took my information down and informed me they would call me the next morning to let me know if they could accommodate my request. I never received a call in the morning, and by the afternoon, I left a text for the driver informing him I was canceling my request and going with another company. I received a call later that afternoon from a courteous staff member who apologized and offered a free pickup in the future. I appreciate the company seems genuinely concerned with customer satisfaction, but would recommend keeping a central log of all bookings so arrangements can be made to keep commitments if a driver chooses to quit. I would also recommend prioritizing re-booking a customer if their employee failed to communicate their agreement. read more
