Ordered the steak crustini, arancini and chicken fried chicken. The steak Crustini had a great flavor but the onions were barely sautéed, the tenderloin was nothing but grissel and the bread was soggy not crispy at all. The arancini was in a homemade marinara that was like a very sweet tomato paste. The chicken fried chicken was would have been ok if it wasn't burnt. The staff was the only reason for 2 stars. First of all the area where the alcohol and deli is shown in the pictures has all been removed. They have attempted to build a private room but never completed it. The place has very little atmosphere to speak of and was very noisy with only a few tables occupied. Several items on their very limited dinner menu were not available despite the fact that it was only 6 pm and only three tables occupied. The food quality was average at best. Iced tea was served warm with no ice, French fries were very extremely salted. I will not be returning. read more

They were out of many menu items. I was told they were out of brussell sprouts and I requested a baked potato as a substitute. When it arrived to my table it had mold on almost half the inside. Stopped in for a bite on a Saturday, used to be Shenanigan's back in the day. Cleaned up the place nicely with a small menu that includes pub favorites. The 3 of us had the Korean ribs, French dip and burger. Liked the ribs and burger very much, the French dip had caramelized onions on it which was a bit overpowering, the meat was tender. Just asked what we wanted and brought us our order, then the bill. We ordered the potato skins for an appetizer. These ended up coming out after our entree because the cooks burnt them without telling our server. No biggie. They were your basic potato skins however you pay $10 for one potato essentially when you could get the loaded baked potato for half the price. My mom and I both ordered the NY Strip Steaks. They were awful. No flavor, I had to drench mine in steak sauce to be able to eat it. I do not think there was any seasoning on it at all. My mom's steak was the same. But once we had a waitresses attention we got an order in of Angel hair pasta with a side of pulled pork and a pulled pork sandwich with an added loaded backed potato. Ordered same dishes....last time the pork nachos were great, lots of tender meat and nacho fillers....this time the meat that was there was tough and fatty. Mixed in with couple pieces of lettuce. Wings great last time. This time over cooked, pretty black.....and couldnt ask for another order because it was all they had! At noon! Replacement, and comped, flat bread took over 30 mins to make. I really wanted to like this place but after dining here once, I definitely won't return and definitely would not recommend it. The interior was nice enough although very loud. The food was pretty mediocre - one of our entrees was very cold and had to be sent back, the rest was just...bland and forgettable. The service was incredibly slow and after waiting over 15 minutes for a check, we had to go to the bar since our server never returned. Even after that, we probably waited another 10 minutes to actually get it. It was somewhat busy but absolutely not busy enough to warrant that kind of wait. If you're looking for a decent meal with decent service, I strongly recommend going elsewhere. That was hands-down the worst service I've had at a restaurant in years. Ok now; I have heard so much about this place from family and social media! So during our time in Alabama and Kentucky we stopped in Illinois with my son and his family. We had dinner and were very pleased with the food! Nice ambiance and great drink selection if that's primarily what you want. If you want food, it is overpriced and everything is ala carte. $20 salmon dinner is just a piece of salmon. Burgers and sandwiches come with nothing. I'm sorry I think a $13 cheeseburger should come with fries. At least they do have a large note on the menu stating everything is ala carte. Don't go here if you are really hungry unless you want to spend a lot. There are other places in Belleville where the food is just as good, if not better, and less expensive. Trying to have a little day date, no kids , but had to leave and go somewhere they actually want business.
