Food is really good here too. Start out with the Neapolitan meatballs... the marinara sauce is excellent. We also had the wild mushroom soup. If you like mushrooms, you will love this soup. The artichoke salad and Garlic Fire Chicken were good. Next time I will probably try a pizza on the sweeter side, e.g. hot honey and bacon. It looked so good. Hostess at the entrance were awesome. They were really good at keeping us updated on the situation because it was very busy. They even kept an eye on the bar seats, which are open seating. Absolutely divine! This is hands down the best Peel location in the area. You really can't go wrong with anything on the menu, but my favorites are the spicy sausage, bacon, and pepperoni pizza drizzled with hot honey, or the Trio pizza--both are outstanding. The craft beer brewed on-site is excellent, and if you're not sure which one to choose, order a flight so you can sample four different styles. The service is excellent. After your meal, take a stroll through the charming shops in historic downtown O'Fallon. It makes for the perfect way to end a fantastic dining experience. read more

We stopped by for lunch for a couple of pizzas . I had the trio pizza topped with sausage pepperoni and ham. it was awesome. It was quite flavorful with a crispy crust. My daughter had the mushroom onion and gluten-free crust which she raved about. My granddaughter got the vegan cheese pizza and ate quite a bit. My wife had a salad and the wild mushroom soup. Which I sampled and will say it was really good. Our server was quite attentive and very good. The restaurant looks like an old warehouse with lots of wood rafters and looks very unique. I went for lunch and tried their new seasonal pizza with pork, avocado, lime juice, and pico de gallo. This was a very interesting pizza, the flavors somehow all mesh very well together. I also tried the new hot honey chicken wings, and they were also good but they needed more spice to them. Both items were recommended by our server and he was amazing and patient. I went at the tail end of the lunch so the restaurant was not crowded. I very much so enjoy this restaurant and love this location. read more

Second time coming here. Last time it was pretty good so I came here with a bunch of coworkers and it was still pretty good. Here are some of the highs and lows. Highs: The pizzas are pretty good. The tastes are there and they have a bunch of custom pizzas to choose from. The hit honey pepperoni pizza is really good. The wings are pretty good too. They give you plenty in this big ass bowl. Several folks had them and they were also pretty good. The fried ravioli, which it seems every restaurant has, were pretty good too *yeah yeah that's getting repetitive to hear but its true). They were better than most that I've had in the area. Lows: One of the complaints I heard was that the pizza was too sloppy and needed a stronger crust. While that may be true, its still good. The fire cooked edges taste good as well. I thought that the pizza sauce was a little thin. A little thicker sauce would go a long way to make them better. Still a good pizza, but could do for some more substance in the sauce. Overall, its a solid place to eat. It's not gonna knock your socks off, but you will leave happy and satisfied. Normally the food is good and I get the pizza. I decided to try the fried pork sandwich, BIG mistake. It was not fully cooked and raw in the middle. It had cheese and apple slices on it so when I was eating it I thought the texture wasn't right, but I thought because of the cheese and apples it was that way. Then when looking at it on the plate I saw the red center. I showed the waitress and she went back to talk to the kitchen. She came back and said they were sorry and would comp my meal. Well that was nice I didn't have to pay for my under cooked sandwich , but I would have to pay for my beer. She said they can't comp alcohol. Im sorry but call it what you want comp, no charge, void the ticket, take the money out of the tip jar or kitchen pay for it. You just fed me a raw sandwich. You never gave anyone a free beer!!!!!!?????? They did offer me dessert to take home, but I'm really not interested in their food right after eating that sandwich. Maybe they could have given me a gift card for another day, but that wasn't offered. I guess the manager came to say he was sorry but that was it. We came to Peel Wood Fired Pizza on the recommendation of a local and this meal checked all the boxes. Located in the downtown district, this two story restaurant has cool architectural features. The building has been a bowling alley, skating rink and printing press at one time. Although this place makes great beer, we wanted to check out the craft cocktails. We'd recommend the Blue Note Martini and the Gin and Basil Martini. Both served in large martini glasses. We started with the Garlic Cheese Ciabatta. The flavor and texture were awesome as were the dipping sauces. The 11 inch thin crust pizza was amazing. We tried the Margherita and Sausage. Both were perfectly prepared and oh so tasty. I wanted to try their Wood Fired Wings. The Honey Chipotle were super delish with just the right amount of char and heat. Great flavor and juicy. Came here with my step kids and husband. We did have a bit of a wait, but it was nice outside. So it didn't bother us. They add you to a wait list that can text you once your table is ready. They have ample seating arrangements. Pricing is about average for a place such as this They have a main bar and you can see in the front kitchen on what they are making. We decided to order two different pizzas. That way the kids split one and the other between my husband and I. I ordered their moscato wine, which was good. Too good, I had to have one more glass! We also had shareable food prior. Their garlic bread was really good. It comes with marinara sauce and Parmesan cream cheese. The other appetizer was the wood fired stuffed mushrooms. We enjoyed our pizzas. We had the trio and the kids did the buffalo. Our service was great and the food came out in a timely manner. I did find out, they have a 3rd location, which is in Clayton, MO. Only know of O"Fallon and Edwardsville iL. They do share parking with other local shops and bars near by. So we did have to park a little bit away. read more

The pizza and salad never disappoint at Peel. It is well worth the drive to check out Peel and it's a great place to take out of town guests. Highly recommend the apple and gorgonzola salad, involtini with the sauces, and the pickle and ranch pizza. We also love the buffalo chicken pizza, but it does have a slight kick to it. The food is great, but Peel is a little more on the expensive side for wood fired pizzas and salad. Peel is a great restaurant for families since they have just about everything. Their prices have for sure gone up ( which is normal) I just think for the margarita pizza being $16 is a bit steep. Salads are huge portions which is great for sharing. Ambiance is hit or miss, it can get loud with lots of families in there but not a fault of the restaurant. Curbside doesn't really seem like a thing anymore unfortunately. I've been doing curbside pickups for the past 6 months from here. They used to just come out right when you would pull up. My previous pick up, I waited for over 20 minutes before someone came out and I had to call the front to ask for someone (I wasn't able to go inside that day). Today I waited about 10 mins and then called the front and they told me that I should come inside to grab the food. It's not a huge deal but they should change their signs at the pickup spot to not say to wait for a worker to come and bring the food. Group of 15 celebrating a birthday. All arriving after work and over about 30 minute timespan, making our group a challenge. Service team rose to occasion, very attentive, kept everybody's orders straight, food coming out in proper sequence (I.e., salad before main meal), always checking on drink refills. We went tonight for a birthday dinner. Peel is a really cool restaurant in the old part of town. Ofallon has done a lot of nice updates downtown and Peel really compliments the area. I had a cuban sandwich with a pear raspberry salad. The sandwich was ok but the salad was so good! We also had the pretzel rolls. You can't go wrong there. Spicy mustard sauce and Parmesan cream to dip them in is perfect. Try the Nutella s'more pizza for dessert! The birthday girl got a complimentary slice of cherry cheesecake. It wasn't busy at all so the waitress let us pick where we wanted to sit. I chose near the bar as basketball was on. There is a nice full size tv there. We visited on a holiday weekend and a Friday night. They said the wait would be 40 min but ended up only like 25. They text your phone and you can see your place in line and keep track. I like the ambiance of this place and the street has lights overhead and just has a cool vibe. The food is just so good! The maple bourbon wings were absolutely to die for. I will order the speciality pizza that has that flavor next time because the wings were just so good! We had what they did air was the "most popular" appetizer and they were delicious! It's called the prosciutto involtini. It's like their pizza dough wrapped around prosciutto and it's like small delicious pizza bites. It comes with really great sauces. The Parmesan and red sauce was my favorite. I had a small house salad which was good and we had a build your own pizza 2 toppings. We choose pineapple and bacon. Their bacon came on the wings. Wow! It's really good! The pizza was very tasty but I loved the maple bourbon sauce so much on the wings, that next time I will order that pizza. The pizza dough must be mentioned. It is so good!
