The bees knees was literally the beeeeeeez kneees it was so good ! I was also made the best French 75 I have ever had in my life. The green tea shots were excellent. I hadn't heard of this place until a friend told me about it and we decided to come for brunch. We arrived a little early for our 1pm reservation but they sat us down immediately. Our server greeted us shortly after we sat down to provide us some water and insight on the daily specials. We decided to start with a Bloody Mary which they have as a BOGO for brunch which was great. It wasn't super thick with tomato juice like other places I've tried but quite light and good. We shared the plates we ordered which was their donut of the day (cinnamon flavor), Breakfast Pizza and Mini Chicken Sandwiches. Everything was so good! I loved it all. I wish this place was closer to home, omg!!! Realistically, while it takes me 25 minutes to get there, the time I ideally want to go can easily take 40 minutes or longer. This place has an endless amount of whiskeys, it's crazy! You can build your own flights, join a club, all that stuff! The massive place has a speakeasy in the back with live music and other cool things! The menu is definitely more extensive on drinks than food, but alas there's a handful of good eats. I had brussel sprouts and their noodle dish of the time -- African Peanut Noodles! They were nothing short of enjoyable, and I had a great time chatting with the bartenders about the food, whiskeys, all that. I pretty much stayed until the place closed, and as I said.... They had whiskey for anyone with any style or price range. I started with the avocado salad and we shared an order of wings. Their house wing sauce was different but good. Seemed like a bbq/buffalo mix. We would definitely get them again. The avocado salad was fresh but needed a little extra dressing. Although I didn't dislike it, I'd probably opt for a different salad next time. My friend and I each had the salisbury steak which came with mashed potatoes and shredded brussel sprouts. I almost wish the brussels weren't shredded and they were any actual side. The meal overall was tasty. My husband got the pan seared scallops which he said were great. Definitely one of the higher priced items on the menu that won't totally fill you up. We all shared a piece of the blueberry bread pudding and the chocolate mousse cake. The waitress was friendly and knew our friend's birthday was a couple days earlier so she brought him out a complimentary scoop of ice cream with a candle in it. Tried their brunch this past weekend and overall enjoyed it. Restaurant is nice and clean with that aesthetic that makes you think it's a great spot for happy hour. The cushion seats we sat in were extremely comfortable. Brunch items are shared family style which I thought was great because you can try a little bit of everything. Had the breakfast pizza, shrimp and grits, berry pancakes and omelette. We loved everything except the omelette of the day which was okay, nothing memorable. Everything else was delicious! Breakfast pizza was great, they did not skimp on the bacon. I don't even like pancakes like that, but the berry pancakes were enjoyable, especially with that berry compote. Shrimp and grits definitely delicious, and as someone who grew up on grits, they did right by them. The grits were so good, we ordered an extra side of grits! From the Jump one of the owners was double talking her staff and giving her own side directions at the door. My wife was giving our info to the hostess, and this random lady comes over and starts asking for my information. She did that with a bunch of us coming in at the same time. (To be continued) Once we were seated our waitress took drink and appetizer orders and everything was going well. There was a concert at Merriweather and so it was pretty crowded when we arrived. Our drinks arrived, and we were hanging out. The same lady from the front is now bouncing from table to table bussing. She grabs my wife's wine glass before we even realized it, and tossed it. We mention it to our waitress, because it was sangria with the grapes. There was still drink in the cup along with the grapes that had been soaking in the beverage, and she was at least nice enough to bring us back a glass of regular grapes...lol She said the lady was an owner, and was known for doing to much. Which is exactly the vibe that she gave off. Why hire staff if you're going to micro-manage and cause issues that your staff has to go behind and fix. Outside of the drinks/apps, I didn't really enjoy the food. The steak sandwich had no taste at all. I would've done the food week menu, but I didn't want to eat melon on anything, and it was their ingredient of the month. I wouldn't mind coming back for a drink or 2, but I'll probably just keep an eye on the menu and come back when they're doing something more up my alley. read more

When I went for brunch, I had the steak and eggs. It also came with homefries. Everything was cooked perfectly and came out pretty quickly. The bottomless mimosas were great as well. For lunch, I had the salmon blt with the duck fat fries. Oh my goodness, those fries were sooooo good. Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. If you don't like duck, don't get them, as the flavor is definitely noticeable. This is definitely going to be a regular spot for me. read more

I've been here twice- once with my husband and once with work and a little conflicted with how I feel about this restaurant. Some of the servers were very rude while some were very pleasant. We had reservations at 4:30pm on a Friday and by 4:45 the table we were supposed to be at still had people sitting there so we didn't get our table until after 5pm which was fine but one of the employees kept being rude to us by the bar/shared table area. I was very disappointed to find out that the Smash burger is not a smash burger. Usually a smash burger is a burger with two SMASHED patties but when I got mine the patties were just as big as a regular burger or even bigger. It was also a bummer because they don't ask you how you want it done because a smash burger can only be cooked one way and the way they make it is with two well done thick patties. Also the duck fat fries that I payed extra for had no taste at all, at least put a little salt on them. The ambiance and service were great. Undoubtedly one of my best dining experiences so far this year. My lady friend treated me to an especially memorable birthday, and Cured topped it off. We decided on a late lunch, so we showed up right when they opened for early dinner. Nice place with very friendly staff. On to the grub... We ordered quite a few appetizers, and yep, we finished each one with conviction. The roasted Brussels sprouts were perfectly seasoned with a nice slight char. We devoured our veggie flatbread, which also had a nice mix of roasted vegetables, topped with arugula. Delicious. We shared a tuna tartare, with chopped tuna over an avocado slab. I'm not a huge fan of raw tuna, but it was an overall win. My lady friend is all about pescatarian life, so she ordered the salmon plank over vegetables. I got the roasted chicken, which looked fantastic, but didn't quite meet the level of everything else that we'd eaten so far. I mentioned it to our waitstaff, and she immediately shared my feedback with management. Now this is where Cured's exceptional service came in... The manager came out and briefly discussed the matter, replaced my meal with the salmon plank dish, and comped my entree! They won me over with that move. We finished off our meal with a chai tea brûlée, a flavorful creamy dessert like no other. I can't recommend Cured enough, folks. Came here for jess' bday brunch. It's such a good brunch place inside. Bathrooms were so clean and individual stalls! The seats at the table were really relaxing as well. They bounced a little. Each table also had a heater to use if needed. Our watiress, Cheryl was AMAZING!! and also was the waitress who helped turn on our heater. We ordered from the small plates brunch menu. I got the steak with eggs (medium steak and opt'd for over medium eggs). This was sooooo good, esp. with the chimmuri!! Service is wonderful and I really appreciate the staff accommodating us as a last minute walk-in and making sure we got a food and drink order in for last call. My husband and I love Cured Table & Tap! We have visited often, and their staff is always providing great customer service. Their team is quick, attentive and friendly. The venue also has nice decor, mood lighting in the evening and different seating options (bar, high tops, outdoor, standard). They have a food of the month and have specials incorporating the chosen food item. They are usually very good, and we always like to try at least one special when we visit. November is Noodles Month! I had the Bulgogi Japchae, and it was fantastic. Garlic month was one of our other favorites from earlier this year! As for our go-to regular menu items, we love love LOVE the smoked wings. They are our favorite wings to get, and they even come with some paprika fries. They truly are delicious. For entrees, my husband and I both usually get the Salmon BLT Sandwich. It has a great flavor, and the portion size is quite large! We usually eat half and take half home for leftovers. Been here twice for brunch. Really enjoyed my first visit, the second...not so much. Visits were 6 months or so apart. They had drastically changed their brunch menu & many of the dishes that I enjoyed on my first visit were no longer on the menu. Service was good both times. They keep the mimosas flowing. Had a great lunch today! I've been meaning to check out this place forever and it did not disappoint. I had the steak sandwich with paprika fries. The steak was cooked perfectly... It was tender and juicy without tasting too raw. The aioli was a good complement for the steak, and the French bread it was on tasted fresh. The paprika fries also were the right level of crispiness and seasoning. I also enjoyed my pumpkin beer! My husband has the salmon BLT and was also very happy with his meal. I never realized before that Cured 18th and 21st was two separate restaurants in one building. My friend and I hadn't made a reservation beforehand, and weren't able to get seating at 18th and 21st which is more of a speakeasy, but got sat quickly at a high top table at Cured. Our server was very nice and attentive to us. I was shocked at how quickly our food came out considering it was a busy night. The tuna tartare appetizer with guacamole and wonton chips was phenomenal. I opted for the burger and added a side of brussel sprouts. For my main meal I got the classic burger, which was cooked to the perfect temperature (I asked for medium), and was juicy and delicious. I substituted the brussel sprouts as a side and they were sweet/savory and I really enjoyed them. I can't wait to come back here, and to also check out the other restaurant inside as well! read more
