Good: - lots of awesome dresses - styles are almost all in season and in style - staff are friendly - dogs are allowed - mostly all consignment, but also some new w/ tags selections Bad: - there are about 6 huge rounders of shirts, and absolutely no organization/order to them except for size (rounders include multiple sizes). It's overwhelming and extremely frustrating to sort through SO many shirts - short sleeve mixed with sweaters mixed with tank tops. - suggestions to mgmt multiple times (re: organizing shirts for easier browsing, rotating style/brand sections, etc.) brushed aside and met with resistance ... "That's how the owner wants it done, and I'm not about to make any suggestions about how they should run their store." - old items remain on the floor for extended periods of time and aren't rotated out or put on clearance. - discounting clothing is arbitrary ... I've brought items to the counter on multiple occasions that have been on the floor for months, and prices are sometimes lowered (only sometimes). Suggestions: 1) Provide way for customer feedback, or at least be receptive to feedback (and have a process for mgmt to feel comfortable sharing customer feedback with the owner) ... and implement changes if there's a lot of customers saying the same thing 2) Organize shirts differently (actually, just organize them. Period.). Perhaps by sleeve length, material, etc.? A rounder for tank tops, a rounder for knit sweaters, a rounder for business/work tops. Reddz and Goodwill does this well. Try it out ... if you see an increase in revenue, then there you go! 3) Have rotating areas to highlight different styles or brands. The whole "this is what so and so staff member likes ..." doesn't work. For example, "a night out on the town," rack one week, "a free people," rack the next ... maybe a "wear it to the office" section. 4) Have a clearance rack where you rotate old clothing. If it's been on the floor for 2-3 months, then it's either prices too high or not desirable - get rid of it. Maybe even having a color coding system for dates/months ... that would make the process quicker and easier. I would LOVE for the owner or someone with the authority to implement changes to respond. Again, I've tried talking with management several times about some of these things ... and I've heard that other people have done the same. And, nothing. It may not be their fault ... they may be afraid to challenge the owner or speak up! read more

I love passing by this store, the ambiance is unmatched. It is neat and very organized and includes a wide selection of clothes that changes with the season. The employees are all very kind and greet you with a smile and hello upon entrance. Bianca was very helpful when i stopped by the store looking for a gift for my mother, she took her time to pick out an accessory for me based of descriptions I gave her. Love this place! Totally cool. It's a weird combination of bargain basement and top-quality fashion. I have found amazing things here at amazing prices including a new Express skirt (from last season but new!). The owner is pretty friendly and the store is very inviting. It's a hit or miss sometimes. You have to be here at the right time to get lucky. Something cute may not be available in your size. Something in your size may not flatter your figure. I'm surprised they have a good selection of awesome brands: Gucci, Burberry, Kate Spade, BR, MK, True Religion, etc. Items range from handbags, dresses, shoes, to accessories. Prices are marked as a third of the department store tags. Please take note that most of the store is pre-owned minus a few racks and shelves towards the front of the store. i.e. My friend found this awesome black skirt that fit her very well since she's super petite. She did a quick search and found the brand to be priced around $200. She snagged it for about $50. Yay for her! This particular location will be relocating soon so keep an eye out for the movement. Who knows how these people select items to consign. Have taken bags (loads) of clothing to this and the King Street location over the last two years and I give up. Years ago I was able to consign things. I've seen items in both this store and the King Street store that I own. When I tried to consign later they would not take them. Many of the items I see are low end items like H & M but my Anthropologie and Laundry items for example are too "basic". I've seen items on the rack that are way over two years old because I've owned them. I've been told to bring back items that weren't in season only to have them reject them when I did. I bought two items, at separate times, never wore them and went to consign them a few days later and they didn't take them. It's kind of a joke. I've shopped here on numerous occasions and think they do have nice, albeit overpriced, items (by consignment store standards.) However, I'm skeptical to ever consign my clothing here again. On 9/2/18, I brought a bag of items in and the manager decided to sell three of those items, including a NWT dress. The items weren't showing up in my online account for sale so while I was in Arlington this week, I decided to stop in the store. The first sales associate that "helped" me said that was normal for items to not show up in my account and that happens to her too. She tried telling me one of the dresses missing was in the system (it wasn't). Fortunately, another sales rep stepped in to help her, and informed me that none of the items I consigned in September were in the system. She took down my information and told me her manager would contact me (She didn't). She also looked for my items in a big pile of clothes they apparently never entered into the system because they don't have names for them, and found my three items. So basically I found out they held my clothing for 16+ weeks without putting them out because the Manager didn't write my name/account number on the form. Apparently, when this happens, "most people call within a week or two" to find out why their items haven't sold. It was a pretty slow day when I consigned my clothes, so I'm completely baffled as to why my clothing wouldn't have been entered then, or why they wouldn't make any effort in 16 weeks to figure out who came in to consign clothes on that day (because I know they pulled my account information that day.) I think it's unacceptable they'd hold my clothes for over 16 weeks, and not surprisingly, the Manager made no effort to call me and explain how this happened today. read more

This shop has all your work staples for a decent price -- Banana Republic tops, Ann Taylor blouses, J. Crew pencil skirts, Madewell dresses, etc. It's packed! It's definitely geared toward people with a preppier style, so keep that in mind. I had been on the search for a Madewell dress that no longer was sold in stores, and I was so pleasantly surprised to find it here. If you need business casual clothes, you're in luck at this store. Sample prices: $35 for a Madewell dress (retail: $128), $25 for a Lululemon top (retail: $58), $25 for a J.Crew skirt (retails probably for something between $80 and $100). They also had a decent selection of higher-end jeans and a few Lululemon pieces hidden in the racks that looked like they'd never been worn. In fact, nearly everything I saw seemed to be new without tags -- seemingly never worn, except maybe to briefly try on. If you need work clothes or maybe try out designer jeans before investing a ton in a brand new pair, this shop is a great place to check out. read more

The best! The store always has great stuff - sometimes you have to hunt, but that's pretty much the point of a consignment store. I've found so many great finds in fantastic condition, and I feel like shopping secondhand is a great way to be a bit more eco conscious. This is my second time in Current Boutique. The first time around they were just as snotty, although they did "accept" a couple pairs of my high end jeans. I'll admit, this time around I really did dig in the back of my closet. I was consequently denied on every piece, the message: even if it's still in style, "they don't take long dresses or pieces that were bought longer than 2 years ago". Totally get it! Why then did I walk out feeling like such a peasant? They do have standards obviously, and it's easy to take the denial of even older pieces from your closet personally. I swear it's them and not me though, "mean girls" is a perfect definition. Give me a break, it's a consignment shop in Arlington, VA, not a boutique in Beverly Hills. Come back down to the real world ladies, and lose the attitude. Great jean selection though, so here's two stars. read more

I'm glad to see I'm not the only person who thinks the shopping and consigning experience here is a turnoff. The staff, as others have pointed out, are totally snooty. I'm a Gen X-er, and not a Millennial, so I assume I'm not their target demographic, but that doesn't excuse a failure to acknowledge customers. I've also been surprised that a great number of the items I've brought in to consign were rejected. I'm no stranger to consignment or fashion, but after hearing about others' experiences with that process, I'm now relieved that they didn't work out for me. If you're looking to shop consignment, highly recommend you skip Current, and instead head for Secondi (where the staff is consistently great), Mint Condition, or It's All Good. And if you're looking to sell consignment, you might as well Craigslist that sh** and pocket it all for yourself. read more

At no point while I was browsing did either of the saleswomen ask if I wanted a dressing room or any help. I went to try on my dresses, walking directly past where both employees were chatting, no acknowledgement. Tried them on, again no acknowledgement. This place has gone downhill. A huge area in the front is full of new, poorly made clothes by some unknowns. The used stuff is priced WAY too high. I can get unworn clothes from Bloomingdale's, Ann Taylor, Nordstrom, and independent boutiques for less. Why would I spend the same or more on someone's old, pit-exposed stuff? Oh, and they claim they have latest season merchandise. Not true at all. And the jeans? I understand trying to sell AG for $45, but Levi's for $35? Are you kidding me? Meh. Not really impressed. Current's idea is the same as the Mustard Seed: sell current clothes secondhand for lesser prices. Current just doesn't manage to pull it off quite the like Mustard Seed. First of all, the clothes are not well priced: $14 for a second-hand H&M top? No thanks. It just doesn't seem like much of a deal to me. Some of the shoe prices were a bit better, but still, most were around $25 for lesser brands that you can usually snag new for that price on sale. Secondly, the service (or lack thereof) was abysmal. When I came in, I was one of two customers in the store (with two salesgirls) and never received a greeting. The two salesgirls continued to just sit at the cash register and yack to each other about who was going to prom with who. I don't expect amazing service in a place like this, but a simple "hello" or "can I help you find something?" would have been welcomed. I'm giving them an extra star for the idea: used clothing is something that more people should get into in this throwaway society, but I think I'll be sticking to Annie Creamcheese, Goodwill, and the Mustard Seed over this place. read more

3.5 stars. First off - I tip my hat to them for having a second hand clothing store I can actually navigate. Thank you Current for organizing by size AND clothing type. There is nothing like weeding through a store for an hour only to realize finally that not ONE item there was your size. Here I could see what my options were within moments. They had a decent selection of labels. Offhand... DVF, Catherine Malandrino, Betsey Johnson. The markdowns on lesser-known labels are okay but prices for high-end designers are steep. For instance, Betsey Johnson dress marked down to ~$150 from ~$320 and Catherine Malandrino cashmere jumper marked down to ~$98 from ~$300. Three things to keep in mind when evaluating price (Remember, ladies, competitive shopping is a sport. Keep your eye on the prize!): 1) the $300ish range was the suggested retail price before the dress even went on sale at the original location. 2) The garments are used. 3) Gilt.Com . I didn't find anything that fit me this time around but I should note that this would be an excellent place to get beautifully cut women's suit jackets/blazers for a steal (in linen, tweed, wool). There were some good work skirt options as well (lots of tweed, houndstooth). The styles run a little conservative here all around but there was some elegant stuff. I'd also recommend it for jeans (Joe's, Lucky, 7) and shoes (overheard a girl saying that she has at least 5 or 6 pairs from here). Also, I dragged a box in that was filled with cast-offs from my roommate and I (should've read the online guidelines first!). They didn't take anything but they were really nice about it! read more

Current Boutique v. Mustard Seed Dresses: Current, no contest. They have a great selection, both new and old. MS does have a few cute finds, but their quantity isn't close to Current. The new dresses at C tend to be cute and flirty party dresses, in the $60-$70 range. They're starting to pull out a few with sleeves (ie, more appropriate for the cold weather). Knit tops: Current. I agree with whomever said that MS's quality / pickiness has gone down, and this is where it is most evident. Sweaters: Current, but they tend to have a lot of wool vnecks from Banana - not my style. Denim: Mustard Seed - for the price. C does have a lot of high-end choices (this must be where the high-end rule applies, as it's true they have only 7s and Joe's Jeans, etc.), and they cost $50-$70. However, MS has also has a great selection, but their prices are more in the $20-$40 range. As we speak, I am wearing a pair of 7 jeans that cost $24. Shoes: tie. Current has a few cute options, though if you have really small or really big feet you're in better luck (natch). MS merchandises theirs better. I found a great pair of ruby-red pointy-toe pumps for $12 that I get compliments on every time I wear them. Business attire: Current rocks. MS might have a ratty blazer or two, but C has a lot button-down shirts, blazers, suits or coats. New clothes (as in, not consignment): MS. Yes, those new dresses from Current that I mentioned before are great, but they really are only for going *out* out. The clothes at MS are more practical, everyday appropriate: knit tops, sweaters, jackets, some jeans. Jewelry: tie. Both have a nice selection. Selling your clothes: MS, only because they give you cash on the spot (if they like your stuff). For C, I would only bring your most bad ass leftovers. For MS, see note about knit tops. And for the love, make an appointment at MS, and don't be early or late. Everytime I go in there, they are snootily telling people that they're too early, they're too late, they're sooo busy, blah blah. Be on time and try not to roll your eyes. So yeah, Current wins. But if you need denim, or casual clothes or drug money, try MS first. For everything else, especially party dresses, go to Current. read more

I live across the street from this establishment and from time to time I wander in. First off, it is impressive how well organized the stor is. When you think of consignment and second hand, you imagine having to rummage through piles of crap like at the Goodwill or something. Not here. The organization of the store makes it easy to pinpoint those True Religion jeans you've been dying for, or that certain bag or shoe. My friend works the there on weekends and I must say her wardrobe has been looking up since she started. I have been checking out all of the consignment shops in the DC area because I am looking for unique clothing pieces at the fraction of the costs. I have been meaning to check this place out, but never did. They usually have sales advertised, but not this weekend. The store is small, and there are a lot of racks so not a lot of walking space. The racks are full which is good and they get new stuff in all the time. There is a good selection of designer and mall brands so you never know what you are going to find. I do feel that for a consignment shop the prices are somewhat high. There was a shirt from the limited that was priced at $19.95, it was a few seasons old. You can get that at the store for less with a coupon or just by the item being on a promotion sale. There was a bebe dress priced at $40 which is somewhat more reasonable, but not by much. A BCBG jacket priced at $200, just go to the store. A Theory dress for $200, I would just go to Bloomingdales or Nordstorm's for that. Some of the more upscale designers such as ESCADA or Diane Von Furstenberg are reasonably priced. The clothes were in good condition and there is not one piece of clothing on the floor. I will stick with Second Time Around or Secondi. I will check back here or there, but not a place that I make a point to visit. read more

Such a splendid find here in Clarendon today. As a curvy young professional it is typically hard to find pieces for me. Here they have stuff for everyone! Even my dumbo feet found a home in a beautiful pit of Cole Hans. The customer service was phenomenal. Paplova was a dream, she was really helpful with helping me find pieces that worked for me as well as walking me through the whole thing since it was my first time in. They also have a great selection of bags. I highly recommend checking them out. read more

Stopped in here during an afternoon shopping outing, hoping to find some steals. While I did find some nice dresses, some were still a bit out of reach even with the discount due to the constrains of my recession budget... Pretty decent selection, though some sizes had much more options than others. This place is not what I'd call a thrift store... so don't come looking for thrifty prices. But, if your closet is full of top brands and designer labels, this place is definitely worth checking out. Next time I'm in the market for a cute dress for an event, I'll likely head back here to browse the selection. Their requirements for items they'll buy off you are strict, but I suppose that helps maintain the quality of their selection. Next time I do a closet overhaul I'll have to set aside some items to bring in and see if they pass the test. read more

There's nothing worse than being bored with everything in your own wardrobe (story of my life). So, if you're looking to find something unique, I would hit up Current Boutique. CB is a rad, independently-owned consignment clothing and accessories shop that stands out amongst the chain clothing shops in Clarendon. What you need to know is that this joint isn't a thrift store. And it doesn't smell like a consignment store either (you know what I'm talkin' about!!). You can sell things back here but the folks at CB are pretty discerning when it comes to what they'll buy back from you, which, in my opinion, isn't necessarily a bad thing. Having such discretion is great for selection-- I saw Miu Miu heels in excellent condition (with a great price tag to match), awesome dressy and casual dresses and bags of all sizes. I've been to a few consignment shops in my time and there's nothing worse than a shop that has no discretion as to what they'll take back. I always ended up finding last year's ugliest trendy clothing pieces. However, this isn't the case with CB's-- I found nothing but classic, timeless pieces that could work in any wardrobe. Another high point about my visit to CB was that they have a sweet jewelry selection on hand-- most of it is either consignment or made by a local jewelry artist. Ah, CB is truly a champion of the little guys. If you're out to find something unique and aren't weirded out by wearing someone else's clothes, I would give Current Boutique a try. Definitely keep an open mind when coming in-- stock varies and sometimes it's hit or miss. But don't let this discourage you! Keep looking around and you're bound to stumble upon something you didn't even know you were looking for. read more

Although most of the clothes here are not my style (I'm not into knee length skirts and simple styles), it's an over all good store. I've done both shopping as well as consigning here. The thing you have to remember with consignment stores is they will accept items based on what they sell. So take a moment and look around and see what they have. There are no out of date labels here, pilled/dirty items, Wal-Mart finds, etc... accordingly, don't bring that shit in. When I consign items, I usually only bring in 1 or 2 items that they usually accept and if they don't accept something I inquire why so I know not to repeat the same steps and waste my time. Make sense, people? K. As I said, it's a more conservative, vanilla look but all the clothes are trendy. I stopped bringing my bebe clothes in here because sometimes they don't sell because they're a bit over the top. When your items don't sell you don't get them back which sucks, but if you're not wearing the clothes, what difference does it matter? I also think a lot of their new clothing items are ridiculously over priced so I usually pass on those. See if it's your style. It's not mine, but there are always the occasional great finds and Paige jeans ;-) read more

Current is a small store that looks like a nice Georgetown boutique with a good selection of clothes, shoes, and accessories. There aren't that many pairs of shoes so sizing doesn't cover a large range. The store is set up much like Secondi with racks of dresses, tops, outerwear, tanks, skirts, pants, and jeans. Each rack is then organized by size, and I was impressed that things were mostly in the size section they're supposed to be in so major points for organization. All the clothing was in like new condition, while the accessories showed a little more wear and tear. The prices were ok. There was lots of GAP, Banana Republic, Express, and J. Crew, but also higher end items like Marc by Marc Jacobs, Ella Moss, Cole Haan, Theory, and Mint. It's a little less expensive than I'd expect to see at Secondi, but I feel like some of the items, like the J. Crew silk dresses or Express tanks, you could find for the same price on sale at the original store. Still, with the friendly and helpful staff, pretty fitting rooms, and quality merchandise, it's definitely worth a browse if you're in the area. read more

Current Boutique is a mixture of great finds and overpriced junk. $60 Seven for all Mankind jeans? Yes please. $45 necklace made out of Forever 21 caliber metal scraps? Think I'll pass. You certainly have to dig to find a steal but it can be done. To corroborate other yelpers' reviews, the store is clean and relatively well organized. The standard brands all seem to be represented on the racks: BCBG, Free People, Sevens, J Brand, H&M, J Crew and a shocking amount of Lily Pulitzer. I can't say that I personally spotted any cool boutique labels or upcoming designers on their racks but what can you expect in the heart of Clarendon? For anyone out there in Maryland, I would say this place is pretty comparable to Mustardseed in Bethesda ... but with a smaller shoe/accessory selection. The loud top 40 music was a little much for me to handle at 11am on Saturday but the cute handmade frames and mirror in my dressing room (all for sale) made up for it a little. Need a sundress? Stop by. Looking for some seriously discounted denim? Try your luck. Yearning for a blazer/khakis/sweater set? Couldn't hurt to look. Just don't bank walking out with something every time. read more

Well... get better at shopping around then. It's not like there is some Freemason conspiracy to overcharge you on that $35 skirt. Roll the dice, buy the $10 one online then. I love love love this place. I just happened to discover it on my daily lunch-break walk from work. I work in Courthouse, so I pass it all the time, but one day I happened to go in. Best decision. Compared to other consignment stores I've been to (in Richmond, as that's where I'm from), this place was a decent size with a lot to choose from. The prices are great (obviously) and the clothes are great quality with top notch brands. If you're looking for something in particular, say a blue cardigan, this clearly isn't the place. But if you just want to browse for a new going out top or work clothes, then this is a good stop. I haven't sold anything here yet, but I plan to go through my closet soon and dig up a few things to take by. read more

There are many reasons to shop at Current Boutique. Maybe you're on a budget. Maybe you don't like paying retail prices. Maybe you think the clothing industry is bloated and wasteful. Maybe you're 16 months post-partum and still can't fit into your old clothes, but refuse to buy brand new bigger ones, because that's just giving in, right? Oh, is that just me? I enjoy shopping here, but it requires patience. They have several selections of new seasonal clothing (usually dresses) at the front of the store, but everything else is organized on racks into "categories". I have yet to figure out what these categories are, other than "tops", "pants", "skirts", etc., and the racks are absolutely packed with clothes. But with perseverance, you can find some great bargains here with name brands that are in great condition. They also have super cute jewelry. I've also sold here. They won't accept items that are out of season or older (hence the name Current), and I didn't get as much for some of my clothes as I thought I could have, but overall, they make the process really simple. They can cut you a check or you can take store credit, and anything that doesn't sell gets donated to charity. Pretty simple and a good way to clean out the closet for cash. read more

I hold a special place for all my cute clothes - I swear i really do...but whether they are worn once or never ever graze my skin at all, there comes a time when my closet needs to be cleaned out. I'm Really good at it and I have no regrets when it comes to saying goodbye. I welcome change. This is where Current Boutique steps in. Owner Carmen and her friendly staff go through your things and accept only the best in terms of style AND condition- which I appreciate as I shop for myself. They only accept clothing of the 'current' season (how fitting) and they price pretty fairly. You give them an idea of what you initially spent on an item or what you'd like to see it sell for and whatever ends up selling you get half - they get half. I've made a good few bucks on my unwanted treasures. I really can't complain. The stuff there has gotten better each visit - I just picked up an adorable dress the other week for just $40, originally from Anthropologie. It was a new addition to the store when I happened to be there and Carmen handed it over to me, which earns them an extra star. I also have a great necklace I got for $8 I think, wear frequently, and get many compliments. There's a lot of designer stuff and a truly excellent purse collection. I have to say I've never had any great experiences with any of the consignment stores I've been to in this area. The owners are typically really Soddy; I'm not sure how that correlates??????? What do they think they are running Neiman Marcus? Anyway, the women, who I'm pretty sure was the owner wasn't all the nice. The selection isn't bad, but it's not amazing. I love this store!! When I first saw it I thought it was more of an upscale out-of-my-price-range boutique so I didn't even go in for several months. One day I was in the mood to browse so I went in and what a great surprise! My favorite thing to look for there is a sweet going-out dress - I recently bought a strapless black and white polka-dot tea-length dress with a cute petticoat sticking out the bottom - $20. That's a steal as far as I'm concerned. I haven't tried consigning anything yet - I don't buy nice clothes new too often - but I've always had a positive experience with the staff and I Always find things I like in there. One thing though, I have to say, Mustard Seed does have better prices. Some of the things in Current sometimes have higher prices than seem appropriate. read more

This is the only place I regularly shop in Arlington. Now, part of that is because the selection in Arlington leaves a lot to be desired, but mainly it is because Current Boutique has come through for me more often than not! Just yesterday I picked up two different pieces for summer work that could be carried into fall (Ralph Lauren and The Limited), a DKNY Jeans sleeveless shirt in perfect condition and a wide orange leather belt--all for about $65. I check it out for work clothes a lot because I'd rather buy those second hand. The store might be a hit with those used to wearing designer labels -- but I think it's even better for people like me that never wear them new because I can't spend the money. It's also great for trying out a new style that you aren't sure you're sold on ... because you can get the pieces for a cut rate, and then re-consign them if it doesn't work. Where I would say that CB falters is their non-consigned clothing. Most of the dresses, while cute, seem cheaply made and generic, and none are less than $60. Jewelry is also a mixed bag -- while I love the lines they carry that are hand made partially vintage pieces, there are earrings there that are also sold at H&M and other stores for half the price. This doesn't take away from the finds in the rest of the store though! Get shopping! read more

Great consignment shop. I've come here to sell items and shop a number of times and have had great experiences. The shop is clean, well organized and the staff is friendly and helpful. It's a nicer consignment shop than some of the others in the area and items can be a little pricey. But this is a great place to find a designer deal. I recommend looking through a lot of the racks though - there are high end designers hiding in there! They can be selective on items they accept for consignment. I would recommend going to a lower end consignment shop with whatever Current doesn't take. Checks are written consistently. They seem to be honest with sales and give fair prices. This place is really good for dresses and necklaces. Their denim selection is also pretty extensive. I dig that the prices are low-ish but you don't have to do a lot of sifting to find something cute. read more

Current Boutqiue at this location is nicely pink design. The place is small and cute. 90% of the time, they are nicely organized. They do look cluttered a bit, but I think because the place is small, and they tried to accommodate different styles and sizes. I created an account for here to sell my "used" clothing. Most of the clothing I sold are my favorite but I can't fit in it :-( instead of cluttering my closet space, I decided to sell it. They are very selective on clothing here but i'm fine with it. I understand if a lot of people bring clothing here and they accept all nice/wearable clothing, they will be overwhelm and clutter with clothing. Friendly and helpful customer service. They always greet and say bye to you regarding you buy something or not with a smile. If you buy clothes from here, "ALL SALE ARE FINAL" - so no return or exchange. They have variety of clothing, style, and size. Majority of the clothes are size small and medium (is what I noticed). They have clothes that can cost as low as $7.00 and as high as over $100. (I think there are some clothing might cost lower, but that is the lowest I have seen so far). They have I think 4 or 5 dressing room for you to try on the clothes before purchasing it. They have two comfy chairs, right outside of dressing room for whomever come with you can sit comfortable and wait. The only thing I sometime feel uncomfortable is the dressing room is closed by a curtain, and the chair is direction outside, and i'm nervous when another guy sitting out there. Highly doubt they will do anything, but just the thought knowing a guy out there, make me nervous. That's why I haven't try on any clothing from there and just blindly buy it. I understand why it's set like that, because of the space limit, and at least they have the chair for "the guy" to sit and wait. PARKING: street meter parking. This place is packed full of JCrew, Banana, and brands you would find at Nordy's. I'm such a huge fan of their dress selection which is more plentiful and on point style wise than hitting up Nordstrom, Ann Taylor, or making a mall trip. This has become my go-to for a cute top for Friday night, work dresses, and sun dresses. I might add that all the pieces are either new or like new. I don't feel like I'm buying stuff that's 'used'. 3.5 stars - I'll definitely stop in every couple of months but it's not FULL of fabulous finds. I probably like 1-2 things every time I go and will spend $50-$60. I've been here twice and bought a pair of shoes and maxi dress on a whim that I liked ok, and then today stopped in and found a lovely BCBG tank (a steal for $18 in great condition) and a perfect summer skirt. I really like how the store is well organized and clean. It's fun to duck in when you're in the neighborhood but I am not overly excited because I think it's equally fun, fruitful and equivalently priced to find good sales at Bloomies or the Leesburg outlets. I love shopping and had high hopes of designer labels, quirky pieces, and thrift store prices. I guess my expectation of the cheap prices was off...but totally understandable. All in all, it was a pleasant way to spend a half hour but I'm not dying to go again. With regard to consigning, I brought two big bags with Banana Republic jeans, BCBG purse, Benetton dress shirts, Ann Taylor etc...and they took 5 of the 25 or so things I brought in. read more

Decent prices, and easy to find some nice dresses, and occasionally the nice boot. If you know your size, then much better deals seem able to be found at online stores which offer free to semi-free shipping (YOOX, etc). Still, there's a nice atmosphere, and you definitely will end up finding a few pieces that you never would have considered had you not the opportunity of first trying it on. read more

I like this place but it saddens me that I lived a crossed the street from it for almost a year without even knowing it was there. I was new to consigning, but Current Boutique has definitely made it easy to start. They're able to evaluate your clothes when you're there, and I found the staff to be very helpful. I suppose that my only complaint has been that I've bought more than I've sold. I suppose a testament to their great selection and high quality is the fact that I've bought around $200 worth of clothes from them in the past 6 months: Rock&Republic jeans, a Betsey Johnson top that I constantly get compliments on, and a cute winter dress.
