He took her order and had some good suggestions. I was craving shrimp and grits which was probably the most unique shrimp and grits. I've had ever. Very distinct flavor and still very rich and familiar. The shrimp were large and juicy as well as remained crunchy overall cooked very well. We also had the summer tomato and burata salad which was really refreshing and delicious. My friend ordered the mac and cheese which is a hefty serving size. Definitely a shareable side or a main for one person. Our host came to check on us frequently, our Waters never went empty. Other hosts were also helping check in on us which was nice. The restaurant itself is large. Booth tables available, which made for a cozy environment. We ended the night with some brownie a la mode, which was the perfect dessert to have on a hot summer day. The roasted chicken was juicy and tasty, and a bit sweet with the bourbon ginger and plum reduction, but the mac and cheese seemed dry and overcooked. We also ordered the buttermilk cheddar biscuits- that taste slightly undercooked (in a good way), so the texture was soft and chewy (and amazing). The honey butter and large maldon salt granules made the biscuits perfect. They were so good we ordered a second order!! I would definitely return to Plum, for both the food and hospitality.

They have a parking lot with like 4 or 5 parks but there is a parking lot behind the shopping center that is a quick walk to the restaurant. And the service was excellent. Also, had to ask for the canned beer she forgot. The food is always good here but the cleanliness and service is hurting this establishment. I would really encourage them to take away automatic gratuity. Even though I always tip and typically do 20% most restaurants that add it you can count on getting bad service. I don't know if I'll keep giving this place more chances, which is a pity because I always recommend it to friends and family.

We were served a half chicken cut into four unique pieces (breasts cut in half so they were about the same size). They also served a Thai-chili BBQ sauce, which had a little bit of heat, but nothing too strong. Excellent chicken, very moist meat, crisp skin. Not only that, but the chicken entree included two sides. The smashed and fried potatoes were really good, soft on the inside, a little crispness. And I liked the lemon-cider slaw. The citrus and tanginess complemented the chicken nicely. Also it came with pickled red onions and large slices of pickled cucumbers. Not bad for 19 bucks! For fish, the fresh catch was red drum (although the chalkboard was saying it was amberjack). We split the red drum po-boy, dressed with remoulade, lettuce, tomato, and pickles (huge slices of pickles by the way!) . We requested the fish be grilled and it came with a chimichurri type of sauce drizzled on top. Great flavor, great fish. But here's why I give Succotash so much credit. They use authentic New Orleans bread for their po' boys! Specifically, it's Leidenheimer French bread and it's fantastic.
