It was OK. Not many Indian restaurants to choose from - not like where I came from. The staff were very polite All of the meats were very good chicken, goat and a few different styles of preparation. The fried items were completely soggy. The pakora were just mushy. The fried fish was not crispy. Also, the naan seemed undercooked tasted floury. But it's obviously a popular space as at 11:30 it was starting to fill up. read more

This place is Soooo good! The staff is great, it's clean as a whistle, and the food is off the chain. Everyone in the place is talking about how good the food is... because it is! We have been here several times and it never disappoints. Give them a shot, it rules. I highly recommend the chicken jal frezi and the sag paneer. Top notch!!! Keep up the good work! read more

The food is subpar. I've had frozen saag pineer that taste just like the saag pineer that we were served. My chicken tiki masala was half full of raw peppers and onions. I've never even seen sliced pepper and onion in this dish. And the chicken was dry. read more

I had previously door dashed Curries shortly after they opened. The food was excellent so we wanted to try in person. I had the chicken vindaloo via door dash and was PERFECT. Last eve I tried the chicken phaal (yes I love spicy). Both dishes perfect amount of hot while retaining great flavors. The naan accompanied both dishes. My friend got the chicken jalfrezi and it also was fabulous. Think I will have that next trip. Service was great and friendly. The restaurant had a nice atmosphere. Great food! We've tried the veggie pakoras, naan, mango lassi, tandoori chicken, chicken korma, and lamb biryani. All were excellent! We were especially pleased by the biryani. We loved the decor and setting and the music was authentic and a nice quiet volume. The staff were helpful and friendly and everything was clean. We'll be back! read more

Food was excellent had all the bold and spices that I love about Indian cuisine. The service was terrific . If i had one negative thing to say it would be that the speaker was above our table and a little loud. I am looking forward to try the weekend lunch Buffet next time. This place is all right at best for their buffet. I really wanted to like it, read all the great reviews and I was craving Indian food and I wanted to pig out. Nothing was very flavorful. The butter chicken was either really tough, or when you bit into it it had an awkward texture as if it wasn't even thoroughly cooked. The vegetarian fried rice taste like you're munching on a lit cigarette. I'm not gonna bother coming back. Was not impressed at all. Service was good though, really friendly people and there were actual real Indians inside that place which is always a good sign, but didn't live up to my expectations. read more

My husband and I have been Indian Food connoisseurs for about 12yrs now, I also have been eating Indian food since I was a young kid. This is one the BEST if not the best Indian food I've ever had! Definitely the best I've had in Tampa Bay! Every meal is delicious and crafted to perfection. Very authentic food and atmosphere! It was my first time at this restaurant as it is now where a Vietnamese restaurant was that I used to frequent. I was surprised by the great service and the delicious food. We order ~ 8 different dishes as it was for a group of 7 adults and all the dishes were superb !! Our favorite Indian food spot, possibly ever. Plenty of dishes on the menu that you don't see at most other places. The restaurant feels like it was converted from an old fashioned seafood place, with big booths and lots of wood paneling. It's comfortable and attractive, and not too crowded. The weekend buffet is excellent. I highly recommend the Gobi Manchurian, and their Chana masala is top notch - I know it's pretty basic, but I order it every time. If you can get a fresh hot order of gulab jamun, don't miss the opportunity. We have tried a new dish every time we go, and we are never disappointed. My one tiny critique is that I can't tell the difference between their butter chicken and their chicken masala - this is only an issue when we are ordering takeout with family. But there are so many more interesting things to order that it's not a big deal! read more

I love to eat at Curries for the food, the most beautiful setting, and the excellent wait staff. Also the parking is plentiful and it's never noisy that you cannot talk to your dining partner(s). I have enjoyed dining there with one friend, and several; during weeknights and also the weekend buffet. It's always a wondrous experience. For a recent birthday, the staff surprised us with a special surprise birthday treat/dessert plus singing and taking our photos! The nicest most beautiful staff! I've been here twice and the food is good. When I don't want to drive too far for my Indian "fix," this is where I go. The service is good and the frosted mugs a plus! This is in comparison to our previous meals as well as our experience eating in some acclaimed Indian restaurants. Service was abysmal. The staff grouped by the station without purpose - no one asking if we wanted drinks, how our meal was, or even offering the bill. Given this, it's highly unlikely that we'd ever try it again. The experience was insulting regardless of cost. PS they remove bad reviews from Google. As I posted there, I saw 4 other 1 star reviews for today and now they are gone

I visited Curry's in Clearwater for the lunch buffet today and was very disappointed with the experience. We arrived around 1:30 PM, a full hour before the buffet was scheduled to close at 2:30 PM, yet many of the buffet containers were already empty. What food remained was often cold. The Chicken 65 was cold and dry, the butter chicken contained very little actual chicken and was mostly sauce, and the rice pudding consisted mostly of liquid with almost no rice. The naan container was completely empty. We asked several times if the buffet items would be refilled and were repeatedly told they would be, but no additional food was brought out during our visit. We made multiple trips back to the buffet hoping to find fresh food, but nothing changed. What was most frustrating was the staff's apparent lack of concern about the empty serving trays and cold food. This is actually my third visit to the buffet, and unfortunately it has been the same experience each time. The irony is that the food itself is quite flavorful when it is fresh, which is why I keep giving the restaurant another chance. However, a buffet should offer hot food and reasonably stocked serving trays until closing time. Consistently serving cold food from nearly empty containers does not provide a good customer experience. In summary, the main positive is that the food has good flavor when it is freshly prepared. The negatives, however, include cold food, empty buffet trays, lack of refills, and poor attention to maintaining the buffet during service. My husband and I tried Curries Authentic Indian Buffet this past Sunday and were very pleased and happy we did! The grand opening was Sunday and they had an excellent turn out with a steady flow of patrons. The owner greeted us at the door and was very welcoming. We were told that Curries will be featuring a lunch buffet every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 11 am till 2 pm. This was an excellent opportunity to try so many of their delicious dishes that they have to offer. If you go any other time, try the Butter Chicken or the Paneer Butter masala with fresh Bullet Naan over Biryani. You will not be disappointed. They also offered a nice selection of beer and wine.. I had heard great things about the lunch buffet at Curries Authentic Indian Cuisine, so we decided to visit the restaurant over the weekend to give it a try. The buffet offered a wide variety of dishes, including Kadhai Chicken, Chicken 65, Gol Gappe, Mix Vegetable Pakora, Samosa, Chana Masala, Butter Chicken, Lamb Curry, Chicken Biryani, and Kadhi Pakora. For dessert, they had Wheat Payasam, Carrot Halwa, and Rice Pudding. Among the options, we especially loved the Chicken 65, Kadhai Chicken, Chicken Biryani, and Lamb Curry--all were flavorful and delicious.
