Visited this establishment on a Monday eve just a week ago and well was expecting better. Ordered the mixed meat plate and was disappointed by the meats served. Very dry and not much taste. Surprised by this as the reviews were pretty good but unfortunately I did not experience this. Service was lacking in that the young lady waiting on us was more interested in her phone than in waiting on us. Don't get me wrong she was pleasant but we had to flag her down to get more water and anything else we wanted. Place wasn't that busy so kind of surprised by this. Companion also ordered the mixed meat special and had the same comments as myself. Hard to tell which meat was which as they were all overcooked. I was Curry-ious about this place and glad I tried it. This Indian restaurant is a gem. Naan can compare to the quality. The flavors are incredibly rich, well seasoned and portions are abundant. The vegetable samosa is crispy, perfectly flavored, and the sauces they serve on the side were incredible. Vegan options are clearly labeled on their menu! We ordered online got takeout and it was worth the wait. We ordered: Spring Roll, Gulab Jamun, Tofu Delight Special, Chana Masala, Vegetable Korma, Vegetable Phaal, & Veg Samosa. Man what an awesome place. WE stopped in after finding this hidden gem in the Hot & New section of Yelp and boy were we pleased. From the moment we stepped in we were given some awesome customer service hands down. Our waitress quickly sat us at our cozy table and even helped us out with recommendations from the menu. We started off with the Keema Naan fresh from the tandoor oven to your table. I have to say some of the best naan ever and packed with tender lamb, and the dipping sauce on the side was flavor packed and it also complimented the naan perfectly. For our mains I choose the lamb vindaloo which had the perfect spice level to make your taste buds happy as they could be, and the Mrs went with the Neelagiri Korma of which she could not stop raving about. It was a few notches down on the spice level, but the curry flavor was very well balanced. To top it all off we chose to chase down our tasty meal with a some authentic Kingfisher beers which came with some perfect frosty mugs. Overall we very pleased with our entire dining experience and I am positive we will be back to check out the buffet as mentioned by our awesome waitress. My husband, son and I decided to try this restaurant out and what a great choice! I really wish I took pictures, all I can say is the food was FABULOUS! After spending some time overseas, its nice to be able to come back to the states and find real authentic Indian food. On top of that, our waitress Mikayla was outstanding to say the least! We were tourists in Clearwater and were looking for a nice Indian restaurant. We did a takeout and one of the owners told us to try their buffet. The buffet had a good spread including chaat, tandoori appetizers, samosas, French fries, bajias and chicken 65. All curries tasted good and the biryani was yummilicious. I've ordered on Uber eats at least 4 times and the food is always fresh, delicious and flavorful. Chicken biryani, goat nihari, chili chicken all amazing. On our last order we forgot to order naan and to our surprise they actually sent free naan with it. Restaurants now a days don't go above and beyond but I think they really appreciate your business. Truly authentic and the kitchen is spot on. We had lentils, the samosas, and the shrimp vindaloo is my favorite. They have to give us a verbal warning that the dish is spicy hot before they put it on the order. It was hot, and I think I can order the hotter one next. Last evening my constant companion and I chose to have Indian food for dinner. We have scouted around many Indian restaurants and we're pleased and the next time not so much. There are a few elements we consider when we dine in or take out: Food quality; reports from other diners; consistency in product; a helpful, informed staff that is willing to help make a choice; and lastly a positive health inspection. Some of the places we enjoyed in the past are in the rear view mirror until they get their health standards in order. So, last night we tried a few items, samosas, the Dal Soup, Daal Saag, Chicken Tikka Masala, buttered naan and of course, for dessert, Gulab Jamun. I knew since constant companion wasn't talking, I knew she loved the food. The food was nicely packed, the items labeled, the order was verified to ensure that it was complete. I have to say that the sauces from curries was absolutely delicious and cried out to be consumed with well baked, non greasy naan. It was a great experience, I know that my familiy will be regulars and I urge you to also try curries. Yes I know that people believe that it's all curry and food that is one step away from an inferno. You could not be more misinformed than that. The meats are all delicious, the veggies are well done and nicely prepared and you can get them in different spice levels (mild is a good option to start with). There is absolutely nothing to be afraid of as to flavors. And while not many talk about it, try dessert...I love the rice pudding and of course the honey balls. Be careful that you pay attention to people coming in. At busy restaurants there is always a chance to drop the ball. Luckily, I was seated. I went cafeteria style with another straggler, who I didn't know. The food was spectacular. It's been open eight months. I doubt that they can keep the quality up. If they did, they would be the first. What usually happens is that they get consistently busy and the quality starts to slide so subtly. Especially buffets, right, where people are getting their money's worth even as the quality slides. Saw this new restaurant a few days ago. My friends and I decided to try it out! And I'm glad we did! We were promptly greeted and seated. Nice clean dining room! Our server was welcoming and prompt. We ordered our food. Excellent flavors. Very fresh! I had the red snapper. Excellent flavor and texture. I also had the Roti. Perfectly prepared. My friends enjoyed their dishes and Garlic Naan. I went to the buffet there yesterday with 3 friends. We all really enjoyed our food . Very nice variety. Everything was delicious and authentic . I loved the samosas, vegetable and chicken biryani, dal, and naan. I ate way too much as I wanted to sample most everything The service was pleasant and helpful. The restaurant itself was quiet and nicely arranged. Only requests would be desserts as we would have liked mango pudding or rice pudding. I will definitely go back. read more

Curries is a long-awaited addition to the Clearwater International Cuisine landscape. Stopped in on Sunday for the buffet. The food was fresh, savory, and tangy - the way great Indian food should be. I loved the spicy flavor of their samosas, and the infused aromatics of their biriyani were wonderful. Indian food, out has always been a let down. Always better off eating at a friends home who is sharing food from the region they were born or even taking a stab at it yourself. Curries exceeded my expectations. The food was spectacular. We tried various dishes, vegetarian, chicken, and even goat, all were so good that I am sure we will be returning for more. My husband and I decided to try this new restsurant out last Saturday , lunch time. They were only serving buffet which we do not really like. Hiwever, this buffet was totally delightful and thete was a lsrge array if fifferent dishes, appetizers and desserts . We were impressed and the price was reasonable. We were so impressed that we returned the next evening to try out their alacarte menu. We met the chef who hails from z Bombay, a very nice and tslented individual. This is bar none the best Indian buffet anywhere in Pinellas or Tampa period. I did the weekend lunch buffet and it had a great selection of food and they did a good job of refilling the trays even though they were fully packed (with a wait at the door) which is a good sign since the food is rotated very often. People want and love buffets and do not care about the corona virus anymore so this was a smart business move. I would have gave it 5 stars but the drinks took a long time to arrive and the price is not cheap but nothing is cheap anymore. I will DEFINETLY be back and my wife loves this place as much as I do. read more
