Skip It: This place has gone down hill fast with respect to food quality. Prices are high too. The rumor mill in the shopping center says they are fighting with the landlord and will get kicked-out by the end of the year. They have no real motivation to serve you quality food and can't justify their high prices. A shame, but this happens in the restaurant business.

Delicious! Little small restaurant, excellent staff! I'm from out of town staying at the hotel and was so excited for this!

Ordered the lunch special to go which includes soup, salad, egg roll. See photo below. Instead of saying what you get is completely different than what is advertised, she just handed me this. A cup of greasy noodles and whatever those fried things are is what you get for $14.

The name alone should be the heat index warning! I ordered the pot stickers which were crisp on the edges but perfect soft and tasty in the center. The seafood combustion soup didn't get finished due to the spiciness of my Drunken Shrimp Noodles. I must have had a lapse in judgement on my spicy level. There American Hot Spice Level and then there This Hot Spice Level. The drunken noodles were perfect cooked and every bit was a test of will power! If Spacex ever needs some fuel to power their rockets this place could definitely power up those booster. I did do take out but the interior was clean and cute. There was only one couple dining tonight because of the storms and rain. So the take out business seemed to be keeping them going. They were very friendly on the phone and in person so next time we will dine in and make sure we order mild to

We hadn't been by for a while and decided to stop in. It has a very cramped but serene space. We started with bowls of Tom Kha Gai(chicken), Thai hot. The soup had a wonderfully unique flavor. My only suggestion would be to offer more than sriracha and red pepper flakes for their "spice tray". Chili infused oil and fish sauce with peppers would be a better way to spice up all of their food rather than just sprinkling red pepper flakes over everything(see photo). For appetizers, we ordered Fresh Rolls, Bangkok Fried Shrimp(see photo) and Chicken Satay. We really enjoyed this selection. The standout by far was their Satay. You rarely see chicken that it is amply marinated in coconut milk and yellow curry. We would readily order these three again. For entrees, we ordered the Drunken Noodles and the Pork with Basil Chili sauce, both Thai hot. Both dishes were nicely spicy and had a great variety of veggies interlaced into the dishes. Some other Thai places focus a bit too much on bell peppers. We would also order both of these dishes again, too. I am upgrading my rating due to having a very tasty meal with ample portions, reasonable prices and a friendly staff. We will be back.

My opinion best Thai take out in the area. My kids love it too. Fast service and they actually make dishes SPICY if you want.

First thing's first, the ambiance at this place when the sun is setting is absolutely worth having…read moredinner here. We had the nicest table right on the patio overlooking the beach and it was fantastic. Our server was pleasant when she was around, but it seemed like she went missing for long periods of time and always right when we seemed to need something. Service was generally slow and the restaurant wasn't super busy when we were there. Food was mediocre at best. We started with the bulgogi beef skewers and the ahi tuna apps. The skewers were sort of dry and chewy...and I don't know that they tasted like bolgogi. The tuna tartar app tasted heavily of lime and nothing else and the cuts on the tuna were pretty messy and made it a bit difficult to eat. The grouper entree was okay, but the piece of fish I got looked like a baseball in that it was thick and sort of round? It made it just kind of tough and overcooked on the outside and a little undercooked on the inside. The chicken fried rice was good, but nothing to write home about.

What a beautiful and delicious experience we had at Ocean Hai. It's a level of elegance we wanted…read more The overall look from the entrance, the food, and the gorgeous patio is a must add to your list when in Clearwater! It was crazy hot so we couldn't sit on the patio but at sunset it was still a stunning view. Kalby was an absolute pleasure to be serviced by. She was attentive and used her talents to help recommend entrees from the menu. Our starter was the bulgogi skewers which were perfectly balanced with sweet and Korean spice. The edamame was our least favorite dish. I did discuss this with kalby and the manager. The idea was there but poor execution. The gochujang sea salt...the gochujang just wasn't there and once you ate that top layer all you got was oily edamame, so much oil...you wouldn't need chapstick for the rest of the day. Then wins though came from the cocktails. Ours were delicious and my old fashion was spot on. Also in the win was the sunset sushi, beautiful and fantastic, along with Korean crispy chicken. The peanut sauce was the perfect balance to that meal. Now...what we also loved that should be permanently on the menu was the mochi. We had 4 of them and they were wonderful! Everyone should be able to experience these. But ocean hai on your list as a must try place for sure.
