I visited Curries last night with a refugee friend that I am helping. The owner of Curries and his wife were so nice! They offered kind conversation and threw in some extra food. The food was fantastic. We had Tandoori chicken, butter chicken, chicken bulani, rice, garlic naan. It was a feast and my friends had plenty leftover for their family. Thanks Curries! This restaurant (Curries) is located in South Everett. It's called Curries in Everett. Beautiful, clean restaurant. Super nice waitress! (She should train the other people who were not nearly as friendly and hospitable.) Delicious food! My only complaint is they are rather stingy with their rice, bread and dessert. They gave us one small bowl of rice to share between the two of us. I looked at my son and said...Are we supposed to share this? He said, "That doesn't make sense!" We asked a busboy going by if that is all the rice we were going to get. He said: "Yes, you share." We ended up ordering another bowl of rice. I see another reviewer on here say she got a lot of rice...maybe they were running out of rice on a Sunday night? Same with the bread (naan). They gave us just 4 small triangles for the TWO of us. When we go to Saffron Grill at Northgate, they give us a HUGE basket filled with naan and a big heaping of rice for each person. Then when we each ordered ras malai dessert, they only gave us ONE small dish with TWO ras malai in it! I laughed and told my son...do they think we are boyfriend and girlfriend? In that case, this might be cute and romantic...but we are mother and son and we'd like our own dishes! We had to divide it using a saucer on the table. My son wolfed down his ras malai in a minute...one ras malai ball is equivalent to two bites for him. All other Indian restaurants we've been to, (and we have been to a lot in Seattle and Vancouver), were very generous with their food. I don't understand why Curries is so stingy and expects you to share everything...Nevertheless, I would go here again because their curries are so delicious. read more

So my wife was hankering for some butter chicken the other day and having moved recently up north from Renton, we decided to check this place out. This is clearly a family owned restaurant and the service we received was excellent. Everybody was very friendly and welcoming even though Covid restrictions made dining in impossible. The food was also great. Large portions and good flavor. Overall, I'm rooting for these people and wish them the best of luck getting through this pandemic Did have to take off a star because I noticed that one of the chefs was not wearing a mask while preparing food and was touching his face. The previous location of Curries was on Casino Rd and I'd always driven by it but never gotten the chance to stop in. Noticing that they moved to a more spacious location made me make a special trip out just to try it! I absolutely adore Indian food and any sort of curry. While I've only been to Indian restaurants in Seattle, I was hoping to find somewhere as stunning as the previous restaurants I've visited. This restaurant is astonishingly clean. The kitchen is open -- they have nothing to hide -- and the service was excellent. I'm lactose-intolerant and the server brought out the chef (who appeared to be the manager) without hesitation who personally assured me my food would contain no allergens. He walked me through the options that I had patiently and compassionately. I've never in my life had this kind of service at a restaurant. The man truly cares about his customers. The reason I give 3 stars rather than 5 is because the food was just... missing something. The flavors were there, but they were weak and masked. They were almost watered down... perhaps Americanized? My naan was just okay. Nothing tasted bad, but there wasn't any sort of wow factor. (I ordered something off the menu, so it wasn't something custom due to my dietary needs causing this flavor). I have to give the owner credit for the stunning service and gorgeous design. I stand 100% by my review of their old location. Except now, even better! Their food is wonderful, fresh, and flavorful. The service is great, food is quick, restaurant is clean. The new location looks much nicer on the inside as well. We've had the samosas, butter chicken, a couple of the curries, and naan and haven't had anything that we don't like. I've loved this place since they were in the sketchy, little place on west casino road! The owner is super genuine and nice, and you're always greeted with a smile when you see him. This place will forever be my go-to Indian place as they never disappoint. Service is quick and food is delicious. If you get the chance, definitely go to their lunch buffet as it's cheap and the quality of food is still amazing. I hate buffets for the most part but I'll always be excited to go here. My only gripe about this place is their cleaning products? One time I was eating there, they had used a very strong smelling glass cleaner on the table next to us and that's all I could smell for the duration of dinner. I use the same glass cleaner at home and I HATE it but at least I know things are getting cleaned? Bittersweet lol. But then I felt like I could taste it in my water so from that day on, I haven't had water from there. read more

This is a nice little place we accidentally bumped into when were in Everett recently. We ordered the Paneer Tikka, Navratan Korma and some garlic naans and really enjoyed the food. Both of the dishes were 10/10 on authentic Indian/Punjabi cuisine levels and like the stuff you get back home in India. I ended up complimenting the chef for the food because the food was so good, especially so with ok expectations we went with. Based on just this particular experience, I'd say if this place was closer to my home, I'd be a regular visitor. We'll definitely visit again if we're in the area and are craving for good, authentic Indian food. read more

I was a little concerned when pulling up as it is in a crappy little strip mall with a 7 eleven and a Metro PCS, but decided to stick with it again due to the reviews. Small place, about 10 tables, and was pleasantly greeted by the staff. Place was clean, service was good and the food was great and reasonably priced. Nice surprise and thanks again Yelp. If you haven't eaten at Curries before, you are missing out! The chicken tikka masala and garlic naan are my favorites. I just checked out the new location and all I can say is, "WOW". Want to start off saying that I have been to the restaurant when it was on Casino Road and loved it. The food was excellent. The atmosphere was friendly and fun. So I had the expectation that I was going to enjoy the new location just as much. Well unfortunately I was severely disappointed: -We asked for a booth with a window and were shown to a booth where left our things and went right to the buffet line. We turned to find that our things had been moved to a smaller table that was next to the waiter station with no explanation. When we inquired we were told that the booths were 4 tops that they were saving. Setting aside the fact that they moved our personal items without our permission, they had sat us next to a booth that had only 2 people in it. I mean really that was more than insulting, totally pissed me off. There were also 2 booths that did not have anyone seated at them and it was a light Sunday lunch crowd. Had they shown us the table I would have refused to sit there and asked for a different table. When we left 35 minutes later there were now 3 empty booths. The food was simply sub-par. -Chicken in the curries was over cooked and dry to the point of needing water to swallow. -Flavor in the butter curry was weak. -Between the 2 of us were pretty tried everything. Just can't say anything at all made us want seconds. I get better Indian food delivered to my office through Peach. Last piece was that the lady that seemed to managing the restaurant had a sour unhappy face and set a disagreeable tone to the restaurant. When I mentioned the issues I described above she was less that responsive and made the excuse about needing the booths for the customers that had not materialized while we were there? I very rarely take this much time to put effort into a review. I have worked off and on for years in food service as a waiter and never in my wildest dreams would I ever touch a customers things, and would never move them when they are not at the table to a different table without their express permission. I was so excited to come here as we had heard great things from friends. Fantastic service, fast and efficient as well. My fiancé and I had dinner and started it with the Aloo Tikkiya, which was simple and delicious with a nice kick to it. For our entrees we shared the Karahi Paneer and the Nizami Korma with the garlic naan, it comes with basmati rice. The Nizami Korma was our favorite for sure with the rice and naan, so yummy! The portions are very generous and the food filling, so between the two of us we had a whole meal to to take home. We will most definitely be back! Nice Indian buffet. Good selection, cheap price. I tried the goat curry, tandoori chicken, saag aloo, some paneer curry. I did not try the dal or butter chicken. Pakoras were crispy and good. Naan was good. The goat curry was my favorite. They brought me a bowl of crushed/blended chilis to amp up heat. Service was great, and the food was good for buffet fare. Super good for the price. After seeing good reviews, went in for lunch with a friend. The menu isn't too complicated, there are three staple meat dishes, and five or six vegi dishes, and you choose items you want. I ordered 3 item combo with garlic naan, along with mango juice. The quality of food stood out right away with few bites. Unlike many Indian restaurants where they add too much salt and butter, all the items were very well balanced and tasted very fresh. The warm naan that came right out of the oven was so flavorful without being greasy and salty. The mango juice, which had the taste of Greek yogurt was very good too, without being too sweet. The place seemed clean and pleasant, and the guy behind the counter was nice and took time to explain our questions. Parking can be challenging but wl definitely come back. read more

I'm from out of town and I chose Curries because of the vegan options. The manager was so sweet and she actually recommended me to "Veganize" a vegetarian option.
