We tried this bakery for the 1st time this month. We had 2 birthdays that we wanted custom cakes for 1 for my daughter's birthday on July 7th and 1 for my step son's birthday July 19th. 1st I want to say the cakes were beautiful, other then then second cake falling apart as you can see in the picture the fondant didnt stay correctly. The reason for the 1 star is these were not cheap cakes (which we expected for custom cakes) my daughter's cake was disgusting none of the kids wanted to eat it. The cake was vanilla cake with cherry filling and then the purple buttercream/cream cheese (cant remember which) fondant (icing). The actual cake part was hard and dry like it had been sitting out since it had been made and the fondant tasted like it had gone bad. Even with what happened with the 1st one my fiance wanted to try it again and thought that it was just the way we had ordered the 1st one (last minute throwing ideas together), so we order his son's cake. Originally for the 2nd cake my stepson wanted a chocolate cheesecake for his birthday and we were told in store that they could do it but we needed to email the owner, so i did. The owner said that wasnt something they could do and sent me a list of cake flavors, fillings and icing to pick from. So we chose funfetti cake, fudge filling and buttercreme (frosting) in the design of a race car track. As pictured, when we recieved the cake the fondant was pulling apart (which we didnt notice till after we had gotten it home) no big deal right, the fudge filling tasted off, this time the cake was moist however didnt taste like funfetti cake, to where the only thing the kids ate on that one was the fondant. I'm deeply upset at the amount of money we spent on cakes that we ended up just wasting because no one would eat them. I appreciate them taking the time to make these cakes however we will not be coming back. read more

Well, tried a slice of their tiramisu cake and a napoleon to have after our Anniversary dinner. Napoleon was ok but the tiramisu cake , I hate to say, was terrible.. dry, heavy, artificial tasting. 40minutes after I left the bakery this happens. The top part slipped off and next thing you know the entire cake crumbles. I was so stressed out on because I spent so much on the cake for my son first birthday and I had to cancel everything and change it to today so I can contact the bakery. She said there was nothing she can do about it and that it has never happened before but I am reading reviews right now and the cake crumbling has happened to many other customers. This is the only bakery that offers pandan and ube flavor that's why I ordered. Lying to your customers now is wrong. The drive is also 55mins from where I am at. This has been coming up in my feed lately so I thought I would give it a try. I bought an array of things so we could cut them all up and try them. The star of the show for me was the maple bar and chocolate filled croissant. Both of them were so good. The bao bun was OK. I loved the bun itself the filling was where it fell a little short. The pistachio filled doughnut was a big miss for me. We all agreed that the doughnut itself was fantastic. The filling was where it fell short. It tasted like a super fake form of pistachio pudding. The wall of windows gives you a perfect view of their amazing display case filled with an incredible assortment of pastries and cakes, unless they have a line of customers wrapped around it. Old fashion and raised donuts are delicious, their ube slice bread really highlights the subtle flavor without being overly sweet, and their croissant donut is truly special. Equal to their quality product is the amazing customer service. Our first visit and I asked if they had any dairy free items (my daughter has a strong dairy allergy). She picked two items from the vegan options we were shown. She ate 1/2 of the vegan maple bar about five minutes after we left. As soon as she stopped eating she started complaining of a sore throat which is usually the beginning of an allergic reaction. By 15 min later she had a full blown response, and I thought I was going to have to use her EpiPen, which hasn't ever happened. I did call and let the bakery know. This is unacceptable. My daughter not only doesn't want the other vegan donut we got, she will remember this and question any place that offers vegan items. read more

I've been wanting to try Despi bakery for so long. We finally got there today around 2:00 pm NYE. They close at 3:30 today. They didn't have much options left. We settled for a glazed donut, apple fritter and Spanish bread. They were all delicious! Next time, we will come early to check out the other options. They also sell their cakes by the slice. First time going while we were visiting WA. We ordered a variety of pastries since we were with kids. I got the pecan tart and hopia. My friend got a bag of spanish bread, but I was a bit underwhelmed because it didn't have any filling at all. The bread was soft though and I liked that, but my favorite part is the filling and it was nowhere to be found. I've stopped in a few times to buy donuts and the staff is always so helpful and nice. I've loved everything I've tried from here but my favorite donut is probably the animal cracker one. Decided to drop in on Saturday morning to start the weekend off right. Not many parking spots available so you may have to hunt for one but once you get inside, you won't be disappointed. The staff is incredibly nice and patient as you try to narrow down your options, there is soooo much to choose from and it all looks amazing. Everything was very clean and obviously taken care of well. There is no space to sit and eat so everything is pickup and go. For stop three of five on my driving donut tour today, Sunday 27 November 2022, I came to Despi Delite Bakery. There is a small parking lot to the side of the building with parking reserved for customers, I parked in stall number 6 and there was one more stall beyond that. A family entered ahead of me and one after me. A hand sanitization station was located just inside the entrance and social distancing stickers were on the floor in the line area. Looking at the options, I saw the blue doughnut with the rainbow on it and decided I had to try it. The rainbow piece looked similar to some of the sour candy I like and I had not had a blue doughnut before, so it was time to give it a try. The workers were kind in their interactions and careful in extracting the doughnut from the case and putting it in its to-go container. Turns out not only was the rainbow a sour candy piece, the blue frosting had a subtle sour flavor to it. As someone who loves sour candy, this was very cool and a novel eating experience for me. Made me, my taste buds, and my belly happy. The clouds were closer to a whipped cream and the doughnut itself a yeast raised. Texturally light and fluffy, and a hearty serving size. read more

I was completely disappointed this morning. The cookie was dry and stale. They looked good in the case. The donut hole was the same. It was too hard to eat. I know it was made out of croissant to me that should've made it even softer. everything was really pretty and looked good. Perhaps I just got some old ones that should've been put in the garbage. Continues to be great! Their Filipino breads are super fresh. They have the internet famous Senorita Bread rolls (Starbread in Vegas made famous). Their Ube cakes slices are my kids favorite treat. I have a few other area donuts spots that I think have a top notch dough and frosting ,,, BUT this place has soooo many fun, beautiful, fresh flavors. I was so excited to visit Everett Delite on this day, unfortunately this visit was not a good one. I came down to pick up some Pan De Coco and Ube rolls, and all I have to say is stale. Everything I ordered. Stale. I'm sure the donuts were made daily, huge in size, but not what I was looking for during that visit. I would not recommend buying anything in plastic. I will not be returning. I'll take the drive to Seattle instead. read more
