I've doordashed from this location a few times now and I always get the superfood salad with no kale, but nearly every time they still put kale on it. I don't care that much, I still eat it, but it just seems a bit careless? I've also worked in fast food joints so I know how easy it is to overlook alterations but simply double checking the order means a lot. I don't have an allergy to kale or anything but some people make alterations for their allergies and overlooking them could be an avoidable mistake. read more

OMG...I usually don't like these "build your own" places, but a friend brought me here and I'm a fan! I opted for one of the preselected greens - a Thai, and it was the bomb! Chicken, edamami, cabbage, cashews. A party in my mouth. Ordering was easy, personnel helpful, and our food came quickly. Price is very good for the quality. My date had a smoothie and a different green (not sure which one) but it was good too. Not as good as mine. I'm a fan for life. I came in specially to get a smoothie. I stopped in after a quick search to find a smoothie place and this came up. I walked in, short 2 person line. Then ordered my 2 smoothies paid, then walked to the restroom as needed. When I came back out maybe 2 minutes later my smoothies where ready and off I went. I had the strawberry banana and a friend got the berry one. She said it was very good. Mine was delicious. I would come back again when in the area and wanting a smoothie. I run in to get a burrito, I wanted chicken. I was like how much for extra chicken and the cashier was like 3.5, I'm like no biggie slap it on the credit card. I'm really torn with this location right now. I love Currito and eat here frequently, but the last 4 times I've gone I've had terrible service, or no service at all. I know staffing is an issue right now and I'm sure management is struggling with that, but the employees that they do have are not happy to be there. Twice I went 20ish minutes before they closed and the door was locked. They were inside cleaning up and saw me try to come in. This made me miss the timeframe to be able to put in an order at Chipotle, which is where I would have gone instead if I knew they would be locking the doors earlier than posted (chipotle was only taking online orders at this time). I should add I try not to go somewhere right before they close, but with Covid they are closing early at 9 and I showed up at like 8:30/8:40. Another time I came in around 8:30 and they didn't have any steak cooked. When I asked for steak for two burritos, they didn't offer to make any. They were fine with letting me walk out instead of cooking up some steak. Finally, this last time I went, they were really busy and understaffed (not the employees fault, I know); but they were clearly frazzled and grumpy about it. I was wearing a mask because covid, and I had a minor cold (tested and not covid) but I didn't want to get anyone else sick. I tried telling the girl what I wanted on my burritos and she got a really big attitude with me and told me she couldn't hear me with my mask on. She was just generally rude about it, and I was trying to do the right thing and not make anyone uncomfortable with my cough. None of these incidents on their own are that disastrous, and the food is still better than Chipotle's, but I'm really considering not going back at this point. read more

Currito is definitely in my go-to's when looking for a fast bowl option. I always customize my own bowl and I switch it up every time! I love all the options they have! Their ingredients are fresh and healthy- which is refreshing! Their chips are alright. I also love their smoothies/shakes!! It's nice to have that option at a place like this when you're feeling something else. The location is super nice, right off of the highway in Kenwood. You may think Chipolte when you see Currito. And you'd be right, partially. In layout, ordering experience, and price they are basically the same. However, the variety in flavor enhancements and protein options here really take this quick service experience to the next level. I mean curried chickpeas? Organic tofu? Asian Slaw? Thai Peanut Sauce? Hummas? Feta Cheese? These toppings are next level for sure. Quick service and great fresh menu options make this place a great choice. The decor is beautiful and minimalist. I like to grab a bowl here from time to time. I am not a fan of spicy foods, and several times I happened to choose something hot, so now I make very careful custom choices rather than going with suggested pre-determined combinations. I feel like it a fast and healthy option and salads are so generously portioned that I can save some for lunch next day. Even though the menus are the same at each location, you can end up with a very different tasting bowl, depending on who is preparing it. Yeah you might find something like this in Berkeley, but haven't seen anything like this in SF or down the peninsula. On a 6 day visit to the 'Nati we ate here 3 times. Love the concept. Either bowls or wraps with anything you want inside. This is a place just about anyone can find gastronomic happiness ,from vegans to meat eaters. The ingredients and topping choices are what I really like. They have their set menu items, but I like to choose my own ( like just put almost everything in there ) , with all sorts of fresh and healthy grains,veggies and protein choices . Like hummus, kale, guacamole etc... Curried chickpeas, edamame, cucumbers, tahini sauce, chicken ( had enough?) and all under $10 . Being from Southern California, I love rice bowls and Currito is one of the few fast casual spots in cincy that offers that. However, with all the Currito spots I've been to I think the Montgomery location by the kenwood mall has the worst customer service. Bad culture, the kids that work there during the weekend look miserable and don't even smile. When I was given my side of guacamole it was half filled and when I asked for it to be filled, the employees were perplexed that I would ask about such a thing, they didn't respond, and then basically threw it at me. The Montgomery Currito location is a sad example of the entitled Generation Z. This location would be perfect for an episode of Undercover Boss! Lol read more

I'm typing this review as I'm eating because it is so deserved! First of all, I love the concept. Chipotle is most people's comparison, but this place blows Chipotle away. This is my 3rd time eating here this week, so that tells you I love this place. Every visit has been excellent and consistent. The ingredients are what really turn me on here. There seem to be endless ingredients and combinations. They have their set menu items, but I like to build my own, so I control what I'm eating. They even have nutrition online so you can select what ingredients you're using and see the nutritional content fluctuate. I'm working out again, so that's much appreciated to determine protein, sugars, and such. I love how many ingredients they have! (Prob 5 times what Chipotle has). Plus, they are fresh and healthy. Like hummus, kale, guacamole etc... They even have toppings like almonds, seeds, etc... The customer service is awesome too! I just discovered Currito, and it is my new go-to for fast-casual dining. This ain't your average burrito place! ::cough cough Chipotle cough cough:: Currito is set up so that you can make a burrito from one of their premixed options, or you can make your own. They have your typical Chipotle-esque burrito, called The Classic, with your choice of meat, cilantro rice, black beans, corn salsa, sour cream, and cheese. But they also have some interesting options, like the Tikka (an Indian burrito with rice, curried chick peas, tikka masala sauce, yogurt raita sauce, and your choice of meat) or the Buffalo (your choice of meat, white rice, celery, buffalo sauce, and blue cheese cole slaw). The Bangkok thai burrito is their most popular, but I like the Tikka the best! You can get your burrito in a small size or a normal size or in a bowl (for a little extra because it's bigger). All the ingredients are fresh, interesting, and the service is fast. They also make their own fresh smoothies here if you're still hungry after your giant burrito! I haven't tried them yet, but they sound awesome. As I was walking out, I saw a sign that said that they are owned by the same restaurant group that owns The Eagle and Bakersfield. No wonder the food is this good! For under $8 it really can't be beat. read more

First time trying, I'll be back again. I decided to compare the apple here to the apple just down the street at the burrito joint I've gone to for years that used to be owned by McDonald's. You know the one. So I got the same burrito here that I've had there a million times. I have to say, I liked my experience here better. Taste wise, the chicken burritos are pretty much the same. The flour tortillas here a a little bit thicker, which I like, but the flavor and textures were otherwise about the same. The big difference that has this place edging out my old reliable? Options! Teriyaki burritos? Tikka burritos? Options I'd never expect to find at a quick service burrito joint. They all looked amazing and I'm looking forward to trying all of it! They also had an unexpected treat, Mexican Coke Cola! If you're old like me you'll remember the difference in the way Coke tasted back in the 70s and the way it tastes today. The difference is that back then it was made with real cane sugar and now it's made with corn syrup. Not Mexican Coke though. Cane sugar is actually cheaper down where it's grown so they still make it the old fashioned way and it's better. Such a treat! The young lady behind the counter was as sweet as the old school soda. She walked me through the menu options and did so with a smile. For quick service they have fantastic service and food with many more options than that other place. read more

First experience at Currito for take out. Wasn't quite sure what the food selection was -- very impressive with the different ingredients and toppings to choose from. Ordering first at the counter didn't help with my create your own bowl selection - I didn't realize all the different flavors of bowls that I could've created. I tried to go for Mexican flavors but definitely should've tried something else. All fresh, tasty ingredients. I did think it was a little price for a bowl, over $9. But will be back! The guys there were nice and patient (even though they were closing in 15 mins.). Even gave suggestions when finding out that it was our first time there. We both chose to make-our-own bowls. I'm a long-time customer of Currito... Very good meals, but mostly great meals! My first meal was at the Currito in Clifton for opening week several years ago. It might have been opening day for that location. The concept has come along way from its inception and for the better. I looked at many of the reviews on yelp and noticed that many of them had to do with personnel issues. It is difficult to get to good people to work In this industry. I understand that and can't hold it against the restaurant. I've gone to Currito enough that if there's an issue I simply say something to the staff or manager. Typically everything is handled and corrected. If you have an issue then you need to communicate what is wrong on the spot...INSTEAD of writing negative reviews. 99.9% Of the time the problem will be resolved for you. read more

I have tried just about everything on the menu and although the food is generally pretty good, nothing stands out. Also the layout is a mess, I realize they are trying to be different but it does not work well. You are asked what items you want before you see them. I might be inclined to order more if I can see how something looks, or vice versa. Also went today and waited about 15 mins to order only to find out they were out of chicken! ?!?! No time was given when or of it would be available. This needs to be painted on the front door. Could of saved me time. Nothing was offered for the trouble so I left. I dine in at Currito atleast weekly once. I love the kind of varieties they have and number of options we can choose from. I definitely recommend it to everyone who loves to taste a mix of varieties. Only reason I gave 3 out of 5 is, my reason sounds funny but , Am disappointed with Mango mix they have , it says Mango, but onions are mixed in it and onions quantity is more than mango. So every time we need to ask for more mango and end up with mango and onions. Hope they will fix this out soon. Other than that , it's a go to restaurant for fast service and lovely taste read more
