Lamb Biryani on top, goat cheese Naan and Chili Olive Naan, and Ginger Chicken on the bottom.

Highly recommend!! Food was delicious all around and prices were reasonable for the good sized portions. Food: Lasuni Gobi Pops - appetizer which was amazing and maybe our favorite part of the meal. It is a deep fried cauliflower tossed in a delicious sauce, just the right amount of spice. Lamb biryani which was very flavorful, portions were great, and good amount of lamb. It had a strong spicy kick to it. My boyfriend got the Ginger Chicken which he really enjoyed, it was flavorful and pretty calm with the spices. We also ordered the goat cheese naan and the chili olive naan (had a strong kick), both were good. Drinks: I got a mango lassi which was pretty good, not the best I've ever had but still found myself ordering a second. My boyfriend got a strawberry mojito that was very sweet and sparkling but he liked it. Service was great, staff is really friendly. Would definitely make the trip to Bushwick again!

I was a bit deterred by the dim blue lighting that gave the restaurant more of a club vibe than one of a good restaurant, but the flavors don't lie. I also learned they are very proud of their non-alcoholic cocktail menu, and want to curate a club-like atmosphere for their largely muslim customer base who does not drink alcohol. I tried the pina colada, their most popular cocktail, and while it was much too sweet for my palate, I could see most people enjoying their extensive list of mocktails. If I return, I'd opt to have more of their delicious curries. I was most imrpessed by the madras crab curry, something I've never seen on other menus. The bagara baingan (eggplant curry) was equally as flavorful and a great match with their goat cheese naan and buttery rice. The onion bhajias are crispy onion fritters and made for a fantastic appetizer. The portions here are quite generous, as I very full and still had enough food to save for leftovers.

While on work trip to NY, I had some time to kill before catching my flight. Searching through food options, I came upon this spot. Walked in and was greeted by the server and owner. They suggested some options and I decided to go with Goat Biryani. Staff is very kind and easy to talk to. The biryani was flavorful and meat was tender. Good portion too. After chatting with the owner for a bit, learnt about the place some more and was given a dessert as a complimentary which was a nice and kind gesture. Definitely will be back to this place when I'm in the area again. Ambiance also was good, not too flashy or anything. Just a cute cozy spot offering variety of dishes.

I came here for a lunch date with a friend and this was my first time trying Indian food. When you walk in you are greeted with the aroma of many spices, it smelled amazing in there. The interior is beautiful and the service was good! They do not serve alcohol here which was perfectly fine with us. My friend had the smoking mango mojito and Rose Lassi, both of which she said was tasty. The Rose Lassi was on the sweeter side. For appetizers we had the vegetable samosas and the mixed combination platter. The lamb from the mixed platter was over cooked and dry, the chicken tikka and malai chicken were very flavorful. For entrees we had the Chicken Tikka Masala and Chili Chicken both were tasty. The chili chicken reminded me of Kung Pao chicken which was okay. You must try the cheese naan! So delicious. I wasn't a fan of the garlic naan but I'm open to trying it again when I'd have something to dip it in. Street parking is available.

The entire time it was being prepared, he argued with a man in the kitchen. It was an unpleasant experience, though the restaurant itself was clean and inviting. The meal itself was tasty, but a bit too oily for me. Naan was bland.

As an actual Indian, I find myself increasingly frustrated browsing through reviews of Indian…read morerestaurants, most of which seem to be written by people with little firsthand familiarity with the cuisine. So take this from someone who grew up eating the real thing. There are restaurants that play it safe with Indian cuisine, dialing back the spice, softening the edges for a broader audience, and then there are restaurants that simply miss the mark entirely. Unfortunately, this establishment falls into the latter category. I came with high expectations and left deeply underwhelmed, starting with the Chicken Korma. A korma lives and dies by its sauce, that slow built richness of cream, cashew, and warm spice that should coat every piece of chicken with intention. What arrived was something far more anemic: a sauce so lacking in depth that it read as little more than colored cream. Worse, the chicken itself bore all the hallmarks of having been grilled separately and dropped into the sauce as an afterthought. There was none of that tender, sauce permeated quality you get when protein and masala are cooked together properly. It tasted like two dishes that had only just met on the plate. The Malai Kofta compounded the disappointment. The kofta balls, which should be pillowy, yielding dumplings with a delicate spiced interior, arrived with the texture of compressed gravel. The density suggested these had been frozen and reheated rather than prepared fresh, a suspicion difficult to shake with every labored bite. Again, the sauce offered little salvation, essentially a thinner echo of the same flavorless base. There were, to be fair, two bright spots. The naan arrived properly blistered and soft, and the chai was competently spiced, small mercies that demonstrated the kitchen is capable of getting things right when it wants to. It makes the failures elsewhere all the more puzzling. The service was attentive and the dining room reasonably pleasant. Your server won't let you down. The room won't offend you. But ambiance and adequate bread cannot rescue cooking this careless. Indian cuisine is one of the world's great culinary traditions, complex, layered, and deeply satisfying when executed with even modest care. What was served here felt like a faint photocopy of that tradition. For those of us who know what the real thing tastes like, that gap is simply too large to overlook. The naan and chai suggest potential. The mains suggest a kitchen not yet living up to it.

this place is amazing. please eat here! cannot recommend enough!!!…read more here's how it went down: we ordered the vindaloo (beware). the waitress asked us like 3 times if we're sure we can handle the spice. we said yes because, like, challenge accepted. she brought out an appetizer lamb skewer that we had also ordered first. it was spicy. she asked how the spice level was. she said the vindaloo was at least double the spice level. we were like okay damn, getting scared. she brings out the vindaloo. my bf and i both had one bite and shed a tear. we tried to power through it but started sweating. actually the spiciest food I've ever had. the sweet sweet waitress comes over (clearly aware that we are NOT in fact capable of consuming this level of spice), asks if she can bring us something else. she brings us some chicken Korma (delish, obviously). then, we get the check. they didn't even charge us for the vindaloo!!!!!! we tried to fight them. like, it was our mistake! they did not need to give it for free. they were like "you didn't enjoy it so you won't pay for it"! This level of hospitality is truly so rare these days. I just love this place, the people are so kind, and the food is genuinely delicious. Order the vindaloo at your own risk.

The Jani Burger was amazing, perfectly cooked, with great pakistani flavor, and it was refreshing not to have a smash burger for once. The lamb chops were also cooked to perfection, perfect medium rare, super tender and very flavorful. The Nihari sandwich was also great, however I wish there was a little more unique flavor to it. The masala fries are alright, but I'd say you can skip those. On top of the great food, this service was even better. The staff was so friendly, checking in on us and even offering us a free mango lassi drink. We at this on the sidewalk so it was still fresh when we got it. But for us the food just didn't hit. I recognize it's fusion, but maybe the way things were meant to be balanced didn't mesh. The (impossible burger patty) lahori felt quite bland. Maybe because the burger patty was so thick, but it just kind of was overwhelmed by generic beef patty taste which wasn't what I was expecting. The nihari had some really good flavor, but I found the bread was somehow both quite dry and soggy at the same time. It's hard to describe, but I felt like it was working against the actual nihari flavor. Sadly I do think something like naan or basmati rice would've been better. The fries were pretty unremarkable, too. Just tasted like fries you'd get at your local bodega. I don't expect the wheel to be reinvented when it comes to fusion restaurants, but I just felt nothing actually balanced themselves well (at least for what we ordered). For $50 pre-tip, I'm a bit disappointed. This place has been on my hit list for a while, but I can't see myself wanting to go back. Staff was friendly and the space, albeit small, can fit groups of 2-4 pretty easily. I have a few friends that really like this place, so maybe I'm just the odd one out.
