My favorite katsu curry place in the South Bay. This place is pretty small, so eating inside is a little harder, so I usually just get it to go. The service here is pretty fast. The pork katsu is fried so well. For me personally, the small is plenty of food. One small tip, the spicy level of the curry is adjustable with the chili powder on the table, so just get mild and get the spice level right when you eat.

Came here with my dad on the weekend. Great Japanese Curry location! Was greeted by friendly staff when I entered. Food had good portions and very filling but a little on the pricier side.

Comforting and delicious curry udon bowls! My family used to DoorDash this place a lot when they first opened. I finally got to experience dining in! It's a casual spot - cool pictures on the wall and YouTube travel videos of Japan. Got seated right away for dinner and service was nice and straightforward. We ended up ordering 2 bowls of curry udon! I believe you can build your own curry rice or curry udon - just pick your topping! I got the curry udon with ebi shrimp! I really liked it - not too oily and perfectly crispy.

Food was good, might have been an off day today because we got our food after little over 30min after ordering with no explanation, but nothing unfixable Came in at around 11:30am with party of 2 on a Tuesday, was seated immediately and ordered 2 dishes shortly after. There was a long wait, but all curry dishes came at the same time for everyone else there today too so it wasnt just us. Food was really good, and very fresh so that was nice. I got an ebi fry curry plate with a side of veggies that was the perfect amount of food, and the ebi fry had a really good crunch. Curry and rice were all very yummy, no complaints

Came here on a weekend and there was around a 30 minute wait for lunch time. The inside is pretty small and packed, but the service is quick. I ordered the sukiyaki beef curry spicy and it was so freaking good. The curry was a perfect level of spice, rice hot and fluffy, and the beef was super tender and sweet and savory. 10/10 would come back.

Chicken katsu Curry Rice, Medium Spicy

My brother and SIL told me about a curry place they like a lot. When I found out it was in this plaza, I had to give it a try. We went together and it was pretty much empty (ate at night for dinner), so seating was quick for us. I originally wanted to try the "Pollo", which was chicken katsu + Karaage, but I couldn't find it on the actual menu. When I inquired with the server, they said I would have to order chicken katsu and add Karaage to it. That was a bit more than I would want to spend, so I just opted for chicken katsu itself. Chicken katsu: I got it medium spicy, which is they add spicy powder to the curry sauce. The pickled vegetable was delicious and I enjoyed it with my meal. The curry itself was flavorful and thick. I truly enjoyed the warmth and comfort I got from eating it. The chicken itself though, was a bit dry. The curry helped a lot bring up the moisture, but eating the chicken itself was tough. I did nibble a bit of my brothers pork katsu, and that was the star. Overall I can see myself coming back again. And getting pork katsu instead

this review is for the karaage (fried chicken) curry rice. fyi I normally like some spice in my food and can handle mild/medium spicy depending on the cuisine but medium here is pretty dang spicy. The curry is not mixed well and a bit gritty. The karaage pieces were big and even harder to eat with the curry being too spicy lol katsu would've been a better option during this visit.

We were the first ones in when they opened. Service was friendly and fast. Food was pretty good. They used real chicken breast for the katsu don. Veggie is a single broccoli. My table mates enjoyed the curry. Restaurant is clean.

I went here because the line at Tsujita was so long. Long story short..I'm glad I went here and tried the curry for the first time. It's really authentic tasting, just like in Japan. The anime theme and figurines give it a fun atmosphere! Talk about nostalgic. The servers are Japanese and they were really friendly and gave good service. Definitely going to be my go-to Japanese curry place. The curry flavor was perfect to me. I got medium spicy, maybe my spice tolerance went down because I was sweating and my face turned red for the first time (lol). I was in line for the bathroom in the back and I could see them preparing the curry. They have this big stock pot that is just like in Japan. That's so cool.

    Beef Sukiyaki Curry Udon

My group of 3 came here about 10 minutes before the shop opened so we were seated right away. I ordered a beef sukiyaki curry udon while my friends ordered the Karaage chicken curry udon and the Karaage chicken curry rice. The food came out and the presentation was pretty nice. I was taken aback that the udon had both curry and broth added to it (even though I should have known better since it shows up like that in the menu pictures). The broth and curry made it nice to eat as a soup but I kinda wished it was just curry. But soon that wish did disappear as I tried my friend's curry as it had a weird consistency for me. The beef sukiyaki was good and tender while the chicken Karaage was crispy and moist. It was a pretty good meal, but I didn't really like the curry that much so I probably won't be back.

Located on the Mitsuwa plaza, parking can be pretty hit or miss. I've taken to parking on the street since Tsujita opened. We came here around peak lunch time and had to wait maybe 20 minutes for a table to open up. There is limited seating inside and some outside. Utensils and condiments are self-serve. We split an order of curry udon with chicken karaage. Very delicious, chicken was nicely fried and crisp. It was enough food for the two of us. I also liked that they separated the karaage so it didn't get soggy in the curry. If you sit at the counter, you get to see the chefs work. Pretty cramped inside but the aesthetics are nice.

Curry Life is honestly one of my favorite curry spots! I love the pork katsu curry because it's fresh and the spice is perfect for me. It's a cozy place, but not super crowded. They have a lot of customizable options. Employees are courteous and it's a great place overall that I always keep going back to

This is what fancy little dishes of ketchup gets you. Just let me squeeze the bottle on to my plate, like I used to...
    Daniel D.

Posting just after dropping a piece of my chicken cause they decided to be "fancy". They added waiters and now serve condiments in little dishes (used to just grab a bottle and self serve), which caused me to flip a whole piece of katsu to the floor. Liked the place they way it used to be. No frills and excellent food. The food is still good, but now I have to tip and ask/ wait for condiments when I used to be able to grab them in an instant,

Impossible for non wagies to go there, meaning I can't have any when I'm there on weekend vacation I guess, but with how everything closes early and is dying in Bay Area, I'm somehow not surprised. Very tiny spot and not much seating, so you're either taking it to go or you're praying there's a chair and a counter that's free. No big deal since I've been to other Japanese curry places like this. I've had a mix bag where the katsu was deliciously crispy and moist on the inside and days where the meat inside is dry, even drenched in curry. Hot curry sauce is Japanese hot, so it has spices in it but not spicy at all. The workers do their best for the lunch rush, so that's a plus at least. Overall, it was okay, but man the times sure have changed.

Parked easily on the side street, walked in around 3:30 in the afternoon, no hassle. The place has an authentic Japanese cafe feel, the kind where the menu has things you don't typically find at your average sushi spot. I had my eye on the sandos, specifically the Chicken Katsu Sando, but landed on the Spicy Tuna Don instead. Good call. Spicy yellowfin tuna tartare over well-seasoned sushi rice, topped with sesame, furikake, green onions, with a little radish and cucumber on the side. The tuna was very fresh, the rice was on point. Service was quick and polite - they even have an outside window for takeout. One nice detail: a neat dollop of wasabi is pasted along the inside wall of the bowl, which is a clean way of letting you control exactly how much heat you want to mix in. Tasteful presentation, but don't let that fool you. It has a legitimate kick, so calibrate accordingly. Paired it with their Honjozo dry sake cup, which was a nice complement to the meal and exactly the right call for a mid-afternoon bite. The sandos looked great on other tables and I fully intend to go back for the Chicken Katsu Sando - and then go try the wine bar next door to it. which was pretty tempting.
