Been coming here every since they first opened back around 2018/19... I think, and one thing I can say is they've stayed very consistent over the years. Ordered the pork katsu curry rice. I remember when they first opened they felt much more takeout-focused, but over time they've definitely improved the dine-in experience with proper plates and utensils instead of disposables. The curry and katsu itself are solid. Nothing mind blowing flavor-wise, but consistently good, which honestly is their biggest strength. They don't burn the katsu, the pork is reasonably tender, and you get all the basics you'd expect: rice, curry sauce, katsu, and red pickles. Portion size is also relatively generous compared to some other curry spots in the Bay like Curry Hyuga. Price-wise, I'd actually say they're on the more affordable side these days, which is another plus. The restaurant is clean, and service has always been attentive and friendly. They were also streaming One Piece on the TV while I was eating, which honestly made the meal more enjoyable. Overall, if I'm craving katsu curry and happen to be in the area, I'd come back. This is a nice and simple Japanese curry location that's been here for a while here in the Mitsuwa plaza. There's definitely been a price hike over time but I think it still tastes good. I saw several folks get up and ask for refund because they didn't get their food after waiting 30 minutes. They were busy filling in DoorDash orders first which all piled up anyway because one of the Dashers were there to pick up food -remember how I mention service was slow? Yeah it was evident when my food came. The udon noodles were overcooked. There was no chew at all. It was all limpy. I got my order after going to the front cashier and he said "oh shoot your order" and immediately handed to me. -curry sauce is watered down. No flavor and too watery. I also asked for medium spicy and all they did was add a little bit of paprika. Overall a disappointing curry bowl. Also be aware it is a small place, so wait times are inevitable.
