IN RESPONSE TO A RESPONSEE TO OTHER FORUMS(FACEBOOK AND GOOGLEMAPS)...
"Cassidy, you are upset because you attempted vehicle warranty insurance fraud and it failed. You were found out representing yourself as the current owner when in fact you are not. With close to 100,000 miles on it, the almost 10 year old 2008 car you purchased was repaired properly under warranty giving you brand 2018 loaner cars while your 2008 was being worked on. Obviously your car was in fine enough condition both mechanically and Carfax condition wise for you to sell it to your very good friend. If this car was as bad as you falsely represent it being you would NOT have sold it to such a good, close friend. Earlier this week the new owner of your car, your friend, personally told us he didn't change the oil since September and drove over 15,000 miles after repair without an oil change. That is why the car currently has engine issues. Due to lack of proper maintenance. Detailed photos were taken, and are in house showing proof of the oil level, oil filter and other touch points of your friends car while it was here last week when you tried to inappropriately and falsely open an insurance warranty claim on a vehicle you do not own."
AND THIS IS WHAT I SAY IN RESPONSE...
First, like I mentioned above I was never given a copy of the warrenty, a copy of how many miles are on the new engine so i know the new service schedule, a copy of what would be covered if something were to have gone wrong in the covered 6 months, whether the warrenty was even transferable, or who was the party even offering the warrenty. I had to call guardian to get that information. I called at least once previous, maybe twice, before the most recent issue and you guys responded rudely telling me it was stored somewhere or something like that and I'd hear back and then never did. That alone is extremely poor business practice to not give out a verbally promised warrenty.
Second, when I came in I never attempted to portray the car as still under my ownership, and it is major insult to accuse me of attempting to commit warrenty fraud. I made the appointment under my name because all of the other work was done under my name and I wanted all the information connected to the car's previous work. I went with my friend bc I know first hand experiance what was done to my car.
I sold my car to my close friend so I would be available to advocate for him like I did. I knew the car had issues and I felt more certain being available if more issues were to arise rather than to a random person. Who would then be stuck with the issues and may still come back to me upset I sold them a shity car. And I can attain records I changed my oil with jiffy lube just down the block when it wasn't done with colonial bc you guys charge double what they do for an oil change and I am very happy to provide proof. The last oil change was done at 118xxx miles in December after Christmas and when we visited per my friend the car was at 125xxx, (only 8,000 miles later) which was a single missed oil change (barely past due for number two) but per my friend again he was adding oil so fresh oil was maintained at an adequate level. One missed oil change does not make chronic low oil, which is how a rod knock begins to happen. Again, I'd be happy to get all oil change records from Jiffy Lube as they are regular and up to date while I owned it.
AND MOST IMPORTANT, forget the last visit... literally 90 percent if this review was during my ownership, not just this last visit... under my ownership of the Impreza, if it was really in as fantastic condition you claim that it must have been (bc I can only sell a perfect car to my car knowledgeable friend apparently?) and you sold it to me w a supposed clean car fax and no issues (which it didnt bc it had two accidents on its car fax when the car fax was run at Lia Honda across the way), then why was I without my car for 6 weeks within the first 10 months of me owning it? That's a whole fricken 20% of the first 10 months of me owning it. You had to give me a whole new engine! Previous to that, the heads were in the shop twice! I had to replace the clutch! Should I not be able to sell this car in good sound mind? Rental car aside, I was without MY car, the car I paid for, the car I am comfortable in! I was not even in the rental myself bc I am not 25 so I had to inconvenience my Dad! Where is standing behind your product then! Where is standing behind your work! My records should prove to be impeccable during MY ownership, so DO NOT turn this around on ME! I am not some crazy customer like you make me sound. I was put through the ringer with this vehicle last year and that is not fair to me the customer. read more
