    Halal Pepperoni Pizza
    Branden D.

First time trying Curry Up Pizza last night after always passing by it in Yorba Linda. I'm a proud pizza lover and lover of halal food so I was very excited to try this restaurant out for the first time. Right out the gate, the staff was nice and approachable. I felt welcomed when entered and when I was serviced, I was serviced well where I was helped and was able to grab my food without any extended wait time. The restaurant inside was clean. Food Review: Their boneless chicken was hands down the best I've ever had from a restaurant perspective. They are better than any typical fast food chain like Wingstop or Buffalo Wild Wings so I have to give this establishment their props on this. Their boneless wings is what contributed to this review having 3 out of 5 stars because I didn't like how my pizza came out. The ranch for you ranch lovers out there is good too and not too watery. Lastly the honey sriracha flavor was good, not too spicy and gave me enough confidence to assume their other wings are good from this establishment. In my photo, you'll see that after I tried one of the wings I had to take a picture of it as I do both the bad and the good when applicable to my ratings. Now, if you're wondering why I'd rate a place with such good wings a 3 out of 5 is because of the pizza. Originally I would have scored them a 1 out of 5 due to how the pizza came out. I am not a fan of burnt pepperoni and that's exactly what I got. The top of my pepperoni was charred and the ends of my pizza were charred as you can see. Thank goodness that the bottom of my pizza was not burnt or I would have drove back for a full refund. It's hard for me to assume whether this is how they make their pizza, or an honest human mistake with the blow torch but however you look at it, the pizza is what I was given for thin crust and I wasn't a fan of it at all. So customers interested in thin crust, be weary of your choice from this establishment as your pizza could look like mine where it's Triple Extra crispy on the pepperoni and beyond well done. Final result, Outside of my pizza not turning out the way I'd like, the wings are enough to bring me back to the establishment. Yes! They were that good. From a pizza perspective, I'd hope to one day try one of their standard hand tossed or deep dish pizzas to make up from this review. The establishment sells fries and tatter tots too so it may be a nice alternative from just pizza to have with the wings. 3 out of 5.

Pizza is one of my favorite things to eat so I just had to try out some yummy Indian pizza! Since it was my first time, the worker did recommend getting a half and half pizza so I ended up choosing half butter chicken and half tandoori chicken. I also got an order of mozzarella sticks. The mozzarella sticks were so good and had a nice cheese pull. The pizza was super tasty and I personally liked the butter chicken more out of the two but both options were still good. The service was quick and you could tell that the food was made fresh. Overall, I would come back to try out the other pizza options!

We ordered a large veggie pizza and it came with a bunch of veggies-the flavorful curry sauce was the best part. I was glad to see them busy, they also offer a halal menu!

We stopped by on a Sunday to give this place a chance. Although the cashier double/tripled assured us that all the chicken, whether it was boneless or bone-in was halal, when the owner/manager started making our pizza, we heard his kept asking if this was supposed to be halal chicken? That seems like an odd thing to ask multiple times if all of it is halal? I think the confusion was definitely stressing me out a bit. The cashier also messed up our order. We asked for a certain half and half and she said maybe try something else for our second pizza choice since the two we picked, achari and tandoori might have had the same sauce, and it would be harder for us to differentiate. We ended up getting two pizzas we weren't really wanting to try. So they mixed up our order. The pizza itself was tasty. It was hot, had flavor. I want to say we ended up getting the malai chicken and butter chicken pizza (large half and half) and plain wings with the mango habanero sauce in the side. Both pizzas had a unique flavor, in a good way, to it. I also want to give a huge shout out to them for really doing something for the community. They have been donating pizzas to local places of worship. This shows they are wanting to give back to the community. I want to come back to try the pizza we originally went in for. This time, we will not get dissuaded from our initial order. I would say for the mix up, 3 stars, but the pizza taste and food quality would be more like 4 stars.

Came across this pizza place when we were looking for a place to eat after catching a movie. It's casual with plenty of seating. The staff is friendly and did a great job and keeping the tables clean. We ordered malai paneer pizza and chicken tandoori pizza. Malai Paneer Pizza- This normally comes with tomatoes, onions, bellpeppers, and marinated paneer. I ordered it with no onions and bellpeppers and added on mushrooms. There's so much flavor in the malai sauce, a little bit of sweetness and a kick of heat. Dough was cooked perfectly. Chicken Tandoori Pizza- The chicken is flavorful and tender and the sauce is bursting with flavor. Plenty of veggies to accompany each bite. I love that the dough is the right blend of chewy and crisp. Great experience overall!

My wife wanted to try an Indian pizza fusion recently so fortunately for me, I found this place. The prices aren't the cheapest, but what you get is a great tasting pizza. We got half tandoori and half tiki masala. Both were great and very delicious! The only one who didn't care for it was my 2 year old toddler who doesn't understand good food yet ha. I'd say, I liked the tiki one a slight bit more. I would totally come back and recommend you check it out!

Decided to mix it up and give this place a shot. Glad I did. A different take on pizza than the standard NY slice. I enjoyed the different flavors and the crust was solid. Holds well even with a lot of toppings. The Tikki Chicken and pepperoni was the favorite. Butter chicken was solid but felt it needed more sauce maybe, just didn't taste the flavors as much in that one. The tandoori chicken was also pretty solid. The chefs special wings flavor was really good also, but the size of the wings was pretty disappointing. The mojo potatoes were absolute gas. I will also give props to the owner being so accommodating, you could tell he cared about his food. I'll be back.

Pepperoni pizza is as good as it looks extra pepperonis, which we didn't even ask for we're a perfect touch

Great local spot! Curry Up Pizza in Yorba Linda offers a unique and delicious Indian-Italian fusion. Sharvinder (I hope that's spelled correctly), the owner, clearly works hard to blend authentic Indian favorites with pizza in a way that feels thoughtful and flavorful. The curry sauces are well balanced, the pizzas are generously topped, and there are great vegetarian options. Friendly service and consistently satisfying food make this a must-try local favorite in this classic pizza-joint styled atmosphere. Pro Tip: The so called POTATO CHIPS are a must try if you love the flavor of curry.

First time trying Curry Up Pizza after many years of living nearby, and I'm glad we finally did. Decided to switch it up from our usual Domino's and Porky's. Everything was very good, especially the Mexican pizza! The jalapeño and pico de gallo added the perfect freshness and heat that really balanced all the flavors. Absolutely loved it. It was a phone order, and while I was waiting in my car with my child, the worker noticed us and kindly brought the order out to me. That was incredibly thoughtful and considerate. Whole family enjoyed it, and we'll definitely be coming back! #supportlocalbusiness

Hot wet and juicy!'n. They got hot fresh curry pizza with little cubes of chicken or tofu. The curry sauce pairs nicely with the fresh herbs and pizza dough here. Spicy and sweet and oh so good but you have to eat it fresh and hot straight from the oven. Handmade goodness for the kids and family. Enjoy!!!

Curry Up Pizza is such a welcome addition to the pizza scene around here. I was so excited to see them open a spot in YL. There are plenty of vegetarian options (and meat too if that's your jam). Ordered online and you can order half and half. We got half potato and half veggie. The flavors were amazzzzinnggg and honestly both so good. Cant wait to go back!

Super quick service. We called 10 min ahead and our large pizza was ready for us by the time we arrived. Well seasoned with very soft heat. Love that you can do half and half pizzas at no extra charge. I had the butter paneer and achari cauliflower and both were phenomenal. The paneer slightly beat out the achari for me, but i'm also interested to try the different paneer options (like the curry paneer). Spread the love and support this local business if you're in the mood for some 'za

Was looking for something fast & flavorful. Found Curry Up Pizza online and decided to check it out. We came with a group of 7 and were seated immediately. The whole group was hungry, & it was our first time so I asked the owner for recommendations & he came through with the best recommendations for everyone's dietary needs. Their menu offers a multitude of options for those with dietary restrictions so seems like a great place for everyone. We ordered Pesto sticks (These are a MUST so much flavor and spice everyone loved this) Potato chips (Also a huge hit! They're seasoned with some sort of masala and paired with the jalapeño ranch dipping sauce) there's was not even one potato chip leftover Pizza's Half butter chicken/Half tandoori chicken Half Achari cauliflower/ Achari paneer Indian Veggie SO much flavor! The crust was perfectly cooked, the spices and sauces left everyone satisfied. Honestly I never thought I would like a cauliflower pizza but we were all impressed. Per my cousins the chicken was well flavored and super tender. And the paneer pizza also was a hit. I LOVE that they can do half and half pizzas so that you can try multiple flavors & toppings. The restaurant is clean & fast casual just like any pizza joint, with sports on TV and punjabi music playing in the background, making it the perfect fusion vibe. The service was above and beyond! The owner Parvinder really took care of us on our first time there. Will definitely be back. Cheers!

It's not like I'm not into trying new and different dishes, but sometimes I really do want my personal list of hits, just done by a different artist. I guess that would make them covers as well as encores. I do that with steak frites. St. Louis ribs, trout, linguine with clams, and a good hash/skillet at breakfast. But also on that list is goat curry when I feel like Indian. There's something so comfortable and satisfying about it that I can't resist it when it's on the menu. From the first time I had goat with Breanne and her family at their big breakfast shindigs they have every few months, I've always thought goat is an underserved meat. And goat curry is the perfect vehicle for it to be served more. The goat curry at Indian Food Express is immaculate. I could eat that all day. It's subtle in the actual meat, but spicy enough in the sauce. It's chunky, but also broth-like in how well all that great juice and stew of flavors just mixes into your rice. It killed me how gold their version is despite being $5 or $6 cheaper than I being served at other Indian food joints. The service was awesome here too. They took my order fast, they got me my food fast, and checked on me just enough that everything was to my liking. The ambiance is okay here. It's a little small with only a few tables. I could see at a dinner rush or lunch rush it getting pretty cramped up in there. I also didn't like the no fountain drinks to order there. They only had the bottles and cans, which means I had to ration my soda and that I felt thirsty all meal. And that's something you don't want your customers to ever experience. All in all, I love the goat curry here and I know it'll be in my rotation from now on. I'll just have to get used to maybe asking for water to quench my thirst along with a soda. It's a small sacrifice in service of that holy bowl of goat goodness they have there.

I tried a whole variety of items, but my biggest complaint would be all the food was cold. They had burners on the bottom, but it was not properly heated before transferring to the chafing dishes, so all of the food was not the right temperature. The quality of the food is highly affected because of this. I will rate the items based on taste. If they had been warm/hot, I believe they would have been rated higher. The only thing that was fresh was the naan. They brought this out to the table after you picked if you wanted garlic, chili, or plain. Dal Makhni - this was a good consistency and spice. I enjoyed it with the naan. Vegetable Samosa - the filling was okay, but a bit dry. I had to really use the chutneys to eat it. If this was more fresh/hot, I think it would be better. Chana Masala and Egg Fried rice were also average. There was a small kick to the rice, which was a good surprise. The chicken Tikka Masala was average. Again it was cold. The Chicken Tandoori was a little dry. I really liked the taste of the chili chicken, but it was cold so the outer layer became soggy. Overall we enjoyed a day out and not having to cook but I hope they can fix the problem with the food being cold. Not one item was hot. We might come back to try the dishes a la carte to get a better experience.

Finally, I have to admit I don't think that this place is under construction nor in the midst of being improved, because no one apologized for certain things that I've mentioned in this review. I think this is how it is because nobody attempted to lead me to believe something different as I entered nor while told sit anywhere!!

Great food, I'm picky when it comes to Indian food, but this place has the authentic taste I crave…read more One small alternation I make when ordering is 50% less cream. Butter chicken, Malia kofta, saag paneer, and vegetarians momos were all a hit. All worth ordering again. Along with the naans. Prices are fair, this occasion I ordered take out. The setting of the restaurant is a home town family owned place. The charm is there. Don't expect this place to look like Din Thai fung. Service was prompt you can tell they were busy with phone and online orders. But worth a weekly or monthly visit. Probably the best option in north OC for South Asian cuisine. Will be returning soon.

Decided to come back to try the à la carte menu here for takeout for dinner. For three of us, we…read moreordered butter chicken, fish pakora, vegetable samosas, tandoori platter (chicken, shrimp, lamb), and garlic naan. The total came out to around $70. When we came in, there were only a couple tables of people eating. It was dimly lit and pretty empty. There were a couple tables that still hadn't been turned over yet from earlier guests. The vibe is honestly kind of odd. The guy who is always working there took our order and let us know it would be around 20 minutes, so we left and came back. It probably ended up taking a little over 30 by the time we got our food but we were too hungry to worry about it. First, the portions are great. The container of fish pakora was packed all the way, it must have been 10 pieces. And for being in a takeout container, it still tasted mostly crispy and fresh. It had a light aromatic flavor to it, but was light enough to taste the fish, which was perfectly soft. The samosas were standard but good, especially with the tamarind and mint chutneys. The tandoori platter was surprisingly good, and was one of the dishes most different from a buffet experience. The meat was all super juicy and the marinade hadn't dried out or anything, so it formed a really flavorful sauce. Butter chicken and naan were standard but also all very good. This much food could've easily fed and satisfied four people, which for the price and quality seems really fair. I would definitely recommend coming here for their normal menu OR buffet, even if it takes a minute.

The eggplant dish was spicy and decent, but not especially memorable. The bread could have been baked a little longer, and the chicken tikka masala, which is usually a standout Indian dish, was just okay. The portion of chicken was also surprisingly small for the price. The rice was fine but on the dry side, and the lamb dish was similarly average and could have used more flavor. I've had better Indian food at similar casual, fast-casual restaurants. The atmosphere was okay, but there wasn't anything particularly inviting that would make me want to sit down for a family meal. Overall, I'd say this is probably better suited for takeout than dining in.
