Very surprised with this place. We are from Florida but my partner lived here and we are here on business and he told me about this place. Doesn't look that much from the outside, one would think it's awfully small. But when you go inside it has a lot of room and much bigger than one would think. The service is second to none. Very cordial and made sure of your complete satisfaction. Meals are excellent t and the portions are plentiful. I am more of a yelp writer than a reader; but late tonight (VERY late) I read the reviews for the Curve Café and it made me want biscuits and gravy. So, after being up ALL night, I washed my face, got dressed and left at 5:15 AM to give them a try. The Curve Café is located in a part of Mishawaka I rarely see, way over on the East side closer to Elkhart. I walk in and they have FOX News on the T.V. (Yay!) The waitress brings me a menu and I look around. The place is sort of charming without being stupid about it, and it looks clean. I decide on the biscuits and gravy and eggs and potatoes combo. They have name for it, but I had now been awake for 24 hours and I just don't remember. I made the mistake of asking for a FULL order of biscuits and gravy instead of just half an order usual to the combo. The waitress brought me 3 small samples of their breads, and I'm sorry I just don't remember what they were (awake 24 hours) but I'm sure one of them was apple-something, and it was good. I got my food and I tore in to the biscuits and gravy; it was good, it wasn't greasy or watery, but it didn't change my life either. I would have liked to have had a little more sausage in the gravy. Now, I don't eat biscuits and sausage gravy very often (hence the late-night craving) so maybe my expectations for the amount of sausage were unrealistic, just my impression. The eggs were eggs. The home fries were a little disappointing, if you look closely you should be able to see most of them are not cooked to a light crispy-brown, they were a little mushy. Overall, the breakfast was GOOD, but not wonderful, and a little pricy at $12 and change. Nice and homey atmosphere without feeling like you're in a hole in the wall. Waitress was nice, and after some hemming and hawing on her part, she gave me the most interesting of challenges. She said that if I eat their biscuits and gravy, I will never want to eat biscuits and gravy anywhere else. Challenge accepted. Visually, I was not disappointed at all. Biscuits drowning in gravy, with bits of sausage. Thick and rich. It passed the eye test with flying colors. Then, I don't remember much about what happened between the first bite and the last bite. That's because I DEVOURED it like a starving lion. The gravy had a full, slightly spicy flavor to it that gave a nice, subtle little burn. Trust me, this is a good thing. Some greasy spoons of this ilk tend to de-flavor their gravy, but the cook at the Curve Cafe obviously takes pride in the gravy. Overall: A nice little restaurant in a sort-of out of the way place (as you enter the void between Mishawaka and Elkhart) that is very worth going out of your way for. The environment was a country-home feel, very comforting. Our waitress, Kelly, was nice and patient. The food was better than most brunch places I've been to in Oklahoma. We had a toddler and son with us and the other people who ate around us made us feel extremely welcomed. We had no wait time when we arrived on Sunday at 930am; however, when we left around 1030, the waiting area was packed of people. I'm not sure how long the other people had to wait, but they did not look happy. Our table ordered a traditional, mini traditional, and biscuits and gravy plate. Great food service is outstanding been going here for years and have never left disappointed .. The breakfast is always made fresh and hot, my favorite is the country fried steak and my wife really likes the biscuits and gravy. For a sandwich you can't beat the double cheese burger for the bigger eaters they have a triple.. The prices are more than fair for what you get.. will continue to go there to eat. read more

My husband and I love The Curve. They have a great variety of meals and specials everyday. Since covid it's they only places we feel safe to go. The staff is GREAT and the food is delicious and if anything isn't just right all you have to do is say something and they will fix it for you. Our favorite is the Classic Double cheese burger. Yesterday my husband stopped in for the first time, to get us breakfast. It had to be to go, due to the Coronavirus. We both had the bacon, eggs, hash browns and toast. Nice thick bacon, a mountain of hash browns and really good thick toast. The container was totally full, and the food was great! My husband couldn't say enough about how nice the owner was. She even so generously asked if we had eggs at home, and insisted on giving him 2 dozen! What a nice gesture when it's such a difficult time. First time at Curve Cafe. The parking lot was full when we pulled up. A good indication that it was a pretty good choice There was a sign on the door that said they were short handed and to please be patient so we were a bit concerned because we were very hungry. We were seated right away. The service was fast and food delicious. The entire crew worked together to make sure all the customers were taken care of. Plus the place it very clean and condiments well stocked on the tables. I well oiled machine. We will definitely make the 30 minute trip again. read more

Stopped here on a saturday late morning. The parking lot is full so figured it had to be good. When you first walk in, the host station is right in the doorway, and since there were about 10-12 people ahead of us waiting for tables....there really wasnt anywhere to stand. We waited about 15 minutes for a table. Waitress was pleasant and food was decent. I didnt like the fact that when we asked if we could sub potatoes for fruit, we weren't told it would be an additional $1.99 (which we got 6 blueberries, 3 blackberries, 4 small slices of banana and a few pieces of brown pineapple). The decor is "eclectic" as its having an identity crisis (is it French couture, modern farmhouse, sports history or a tribute to vets). Not bad value regardless...shared an omelet and had 2 cups of coffee.. and even with the $2 upcharge...only cost $13.00. read more

We tried this place after seeing suggestions from the only in our state website. It included this restaurant on a trip for best eats. We opted to do carry out as I wasn't feeling that great and we have been eager to try this place. The call for the order went well and the staff on the phone were polite as well as in the restaurant, when the order was picked up. My husband arrived to find a line out the door. Wow. This place is hopping. He was shocked when he entered to find the place pretty worn and waitresses bussing their own tables. I fully support non chain businesses and I know a lot of hard work goes into these businesses. It is generally someone's hard work, sweat and tears that go into these businesses. I also see the owner regularly replies to reviews so the passion is there for improvement and wanting feedback. My husband stated a few of the employees had on dirty shirts. Hard at work maybe but not exactly the best approach for serving food. Waitresses were cleaning their own tables. From a sanitary stand point, table bussers clean the tables, waitresses should be taking the orders. My husband brought home the containers and it was a bit shocking for a total of 27 dollars. Extremely poor presentation for carry out and small portions. Scrambled eggs, full order of corn beef hash that wasn't very much, fried eggs with bacon and french toast. The food looked like it had been just dumped into each container. The bacon was so salty that none of us could eat it. Large amounts of salt were definitely added to the bacon which is not needed. The scrambled eggs were dry and were salty from the bacon laying on top. The corn beef hash looked completely unappetizing and also extremely salty. There was no syrup or jelly included with the order. Out of everything, the french toast was the decent entree in the mix. It takes time to get a business up and running with some bumps along the way. Suggestions: worn seats should be replaced and utilizing dishes from prior restaurants is not always the best idea if deep scratches are present has it can hold bacteria. More staff is needed and working on presentation will be helpful not only in how the employees dress but also how the food is presented. Since I seem to be the minority in ratings, I am open to the possibility that today was just an off day. read more

Seems like the quality of food has gone downhill as of late. We have probably been to Curve Café 15+ times since it opened. I'd rather go to a local place than a large chain like IHOP. Food was always great and prices were low when it first opened. Lately the food has been subpar. I've ordered their prime rib and eggs special three times. Each time I asked for medium-rare and was served steak that was completely grey. It seems like the prime rib was left over from a previous day. I've uploaded a picture of the medium-rare prime rib I ordered most recently. After three orders I've learned my lesson and will no longer attempt to order it. I've also ordered the normal menu steak and eggs and again received a well done steak when I asked for medium-rare. It would also be nice if they offered a true children's menu. I do enjoy the sweat breads they offer and their corn beef hash is homemade and good. If the food does not improve we will probably start looking for another breakfast spot. read more

Still great food! Went here last Friday for AYCE Polish dinner. Service was a bit slow but the wait was worth the food. The broasted chicken was fantastic juicy and crispy. Updating from our awful experiences in early May: The service and kitchen have gone downhill very quickly. In 2 sequential trips, 1st had debris in the queso. No kidding a peice of the wrapper from the cheese..TRASH IN THE FOOD. Next trip, waitress completely got my order wrong and it took twice as long to get the fixed meal as it did to get the original misordered meal. Manager was apologetic but it didn't really matter after that long. This was a great place, I hope they turn it around. read more

I really like their omelettes here. Basically all omelettes taste a little bit different at any given restaurant. I got the sausage mushroom onion the mushrooms were fresh you could tell. The potatoes were all so real and actual potato not frozen. You can't beat the price for the omelette $7.95 read more

Food is really great here, and the menu for breakfast is extensive. Biscuits are some of the best Ive had, and I make a pretty good biscuit myself. If you like corned beef hash...they serve the best in the world. Its pieces of real corned beef with redskin potatoes. I was almost in disbelief when I ordered it. Check out the breakfast specials, quite often they are pretty creative. Its owned by the company that owns Between the buns....so you get a TV at every booth. Im not sure why this is so important....I personally prefer not to watch television during a meal. Service is very good...I have had friendly and adept service here during a breakfast rush. The place is generally packed mid mornings consistently...which says a lot. Give the Curve a shot...its a good value, the service is very good and you will not be disappointed with the food quality and presentation. This is my absolute favorite breakfast place in the area and I'll tell you why... It's that cinnamon roll French toast, man. I ordered it on a whim the first time I came and have gotten it every time since. A cinnamon roll... But French toast. With sweet cream filling and lots of fruit on top. You also cannot beat Curve's prices. It's so affordable and so delicious, and they're willing to customize basically anything for you if you request it. They have great specials on weekdays too. It does get crowded on weekends... So expect a bit of a wait. It's never been horrible, but I don't think I've ever gotten seated right away on the weekend. It will be worth it! read more

This place is one of my least favorite places to eat. Very poor secondary service by wait staff and their attitudes aren't much better. For a restaurant of this size, the wait staff can't handle the amount they are given even with the small sections. They also messed up everything in our order. 1/10 would not recommend. read more

I went for lunch, and was on my lunch for work. Their rush was just getting over. I ordered their chicken fried steak. Was surprised to see the mashed potatoes were instant. Wasn't the end of the world.... a lot of places use instant anymore. The portion was larger than expected. It's the reason I'm giving any stars. What took away from my experience was the waitress never came back and checked on me, and I waited over 15 minutes (from the time I realized I'd been waiting a while after I'd finished) for her to bring me the check. Great food for a very reasonable price! I had the corned beef hash with eggs. The corned beef hash had a good balance of meat and potatoes; which resulted in a nice flavor and texture, and not to mention filling. My over medium eggs were cooked perfectly and I was pleased to find them not greasy. I will be back soon to try more from their menu that literally offers something for everyone's taste. read more

We went tonight (Friday) for the all you can eat Polish buffet ordered dinner around 5:30 about 25 minutes later they bring out our dinners and inform me that they are out of sausage. How do you run out by 6:00 of your special? Waitress was not very good should have informed us before bringing out basically a chicken dinner. read more

Outstanding breakfast! They get their finely ground sausage and thick-sliced bacon from DC Meats and it's the absolute best in town.
