We are extremely disappointed in the marketing of half off happy hour for the baseball bays from 12-4. We came at 3:30 just for that reason and were told because they charge at the end it will be after 4 and we would be charged the full price. It's ok bar food. Is the food gonna knock your socks off- no, it's 3 star food. But come in to have some beers a bite while swinging the bat then this is a fun experience. We came in at 1pm on a Friday in May when it was nearly dead but the batting cage still ran $100 for the hour. We decided to have a fun night on a Tuesday night. Walking in, we were greeted with smiles and great service! We got a bay to bat and eat. It is a great until no one came to serve us. Machine froze and I had to go get an employee. After the employee fixed the machine, she told us "next time get an employee" as if I didn't just do that.. No one was available to check on us for refills and a couple of our plates were not made correctly.. Thankfully, after asking an employee twice to get someone, the manager Clint helped us out and continued to make sure we had good service. The night was definitely made better thanks to him! This is located on the property of Okana. Very unique sports bar with several large screen TV's. Was greeted right away by the bartender. Her name was Brooke and she was great. Very personable and seemed to enjoy working there. Beer prices are higher than what I was expecting. I got the Bavarian Pretzel and it was really good. They have 6 or so simulated batting cages. You can pick what MLB stadium you want to play in. Looked really cool. Definitely a place I'd like to come back to with a group of people. read more

Oh my gosh we had an amazing time! Be prepared to SWEAT! You rent your spot, they take you through a tutorial on how all it works, and you are off to the races competing!! Our server Tea was phenomenal!!! I can't tell you how wonderful she truly was, there aren't words for how kind she was! She was extremely attentive, we never had to ask for refills of anything, she was right there offering! She had stuff out in such a fast pace time, I was truly shocked! We read some mixed reviews and sure I was nervous, but now I can promise you we will always be back! All I can say is the staff was phenomenal, they are attentive, they are kind - and the manager Brian was a true vibe. He was kind, walked around to every couple there and asked how things were, if he could do anything, and would just have friendly conversation with you, and honestly hype everyone up which was awesome! Food was good, but as you can imagine, at a VERY themed restaurant, at a brand new resort, prices were pretty high. The theme is baseball, and it is everywhere. Our large group (twelve and a baby) sat in a booth that looks like a giant glove. There's even an art instalation of bats hung above the table. Let's face it, we went for the virtual reality baseball. Ok, maybe we should have checked the price before we planned it, but $75 an hour was a pricey surprise. Don't get me wrong, we all had a great time. We may be more competitive than most, but even the casual athlete will find it a challenging, but fun time. It takes some time to master the low height of the ball when it pops up from the floor. Some do and some just whine about it. Will we go again? First and last time dining at Curveball Kitchen. The food came out cold across the board. The bacon-wrapped hot dog was cold, with limp, undercooked bacon. Our grandson ordered the Dinosaur Dog, which is advertised as coming with a dinosaur toy -- it did not. His meal was also the last to arrive, after everyone else was already halfway through eating. The mac and cheese was cold as well. The appetizers we got was the nachos and pretzel. The pretzel was the only thing good. The nachos were cold. It looked like a can of Hormel chili was opened and dumped on chips. Service was below subpar. Our waitress was rarely around, and we had to get up and retrieve our own to-go boxes. To make matters worse, our grandson was promised a surprise for finding the two hidden elves, but when we left, he never received it. The giant TV was a little much and could potentially cause issues for someone sensitive to flashing lights but is understandable given the restaurant dynamics. The food was typical sports bar food. Would leave a zero if I could. We made a reservation for a kids birthday party. Began the experience by waiting much past the reservation time. No big deal we were all still happy and celebrating the birthday. We had several kids from a baseball team which mean several families. Once getting our bay we began to play and looking at menus. Waitress came and began taking orders. Halfway through our group of approximately 20-25 people we were told they would not split checks. My family member asked why we were told it is expected that people would simply Venmo each other. A family member who made the reservation later said to me "why would they not tell us the won't split checks". Our waitress overheard this and stated "it's on the website babe" with an attitude. Wanting to keep the party going for the kids I took a breath and told the waitress "she was venting to me and the comment is unwarranted". I then simply stated we weren't going to order food due to not being able to split the check between so many people. The kids continued to play and the machine continuously broke and needed to be repaired while our paid time continued to go down. No one said anything about this issue due to the already rude interaction. Approximately 30 minutes after the first interaction I was approached by security and informed "I had been rude to staff and am being regulated to leave the property". I calmly stated I would leave and stated what I had said during the interaction. I then gathered my two kids and left. After I left, staff came back to the bay with security. Staff stated "instead of doing all this (pointing to presents and cake) everyone needs to leave the property". Mind you the kids ranged from 11 to 3 years of age. (Excluding one newborn). I later learned the waitress had went to security and said I had cussed her out. While part of me did want to be more vocal about her rude comment I was at a family kids birthday party and am not going to make that scene. Absolutely terrible experience on all fronts. We did get two drinks from the bar while waiting on the bay. A beer is $10 and a mixed drink is $18. When we first came in after 9 pm on a Friday night, it was not too crowded. Servers passed by our table without acknowledging us until about 10 minutes later. Food ordered but took another while for our water to be served. When our wings platter was served, it came with sweet potato fries (that we ordered extra & paid $6 for) instead of the menu stated chips. We were told the kitchen assumed we wanted to substitute fries for chips. Well, don't assume that because we sure did not request for the substitution. We wanted chips & our $6 sweet potato fries! Enough of that. Now to the wings - ordered extra crispy but was not even crispy. Can't imagine what it was like if we didn't ask for extra crispy. The garlic sweet chili wings were lacking of 1 and we brought it to their attention. This was what the kitchen said, "they cannot just make the one wing that was missing on our plate & that we paid for ($1.75) because they cook the wings in batches." Well, give us the right batch instead of one missing a wing! When the dessert was served, there was no warning that the skillet was hot. There was no potholder with the skillet handle. What if some kid touches it and gets burnt (like my kid)? The baseball theme deco was nice & the wing sauces were good. Our server was ok except I had to ask for refill when my glass was empty. Curveball completely saved our terrible waitstaff experience inside Okana this weekend! We found out upon arrival that we'd accidentally booked just a table instead of a bay. The host did everything she could to squeeze us in and managed to get us a bay for an hour. Jaime, our server, was hilarious, attentive, and consistent. We'll absolutely be back because of him! I took my family and friend group to Curveball Kitchen after a fun day at Okana. The bay itself was fantastic; however, we were allowed into our bay 40 minutes after our reservation. The server we had was very rude and challenged our group when an incorrect order was brought 45 minutes into our allotted/reserved time. She didn't believe that the beer she brought was not the correct one and stood and stared in a challenging manner when we borrowed a bat from the group next to us as they had one sized for the kids in our group. The food brought was cold. This establishment has a ton of potential but the behavior of our server and overall mismanagement exhibited will drive us not to return. read more

This place was terrible. We didn't even play baseball, we just went to eat because we stumbled upon it. We sat down probably around 6, didn't get our waters until probably 6:20, and then didn't get our food until an hour after that. We waited an hour and a half to get our food. We watched our waitress walk around at the back of the restaurant, doing seemingly nothing, for most of that time. She came by once or twice in that hour and a half wait, only to say "Y'all doing okay?" The only thing I could say was "Still just waiting on our food." It was like she was unaware that we had been waiting for over an hour. Eventually one of the hosts came over and told us he didn't know what our waitress was doing, and that he also saw her just walking around. He came back a little later and told us the reason our food hadn't come was because they were prioritizing other tables, and that our order had finally been put in. What? What a horrible experience. I am truly amazed by how terrible this place is from the beginning to the end for my son's 11th birthday with his family and friends. Let's start with you make a reservation and we waited 30 minutes after the time after they kept saying "couple more minutes", which I get it happens but this was just the beginning of our experience. Also, it was not busy at all in this place for the delay we had. Next, we finally get back to our bay and we start ordering drinks the server missed half of our drinks. She then just comes and sets a tray of drinks on one of the tables and leaves not telling anyone their drinks were dropped off or what they were. My three kids never even got a drink in the hour we were there, which was not due to lack of attempts. I personally asked for 3 sprites twice to our waitress and once at the bar. She then shows up and is ready to take food orders, whether we are or not so we. All start rushing to get ordered, I barely had gotten the kids names in to start playing because the clock was going down so that was my top priority. About half way through our orders of 20 people and multiple families shes says oh we can't split the check in more than 2 ways, uhm excuse me? For this many people? That is exactly how I worded it. She said "no that's our policy our system can't do that it just can't handle that" so I turn to my brother and say "wow well that would be nice to know with this many people" and she chimes in saying well everyone just needs to Venmo one person. Uhm ok but still would have been nice to know, especially with the prices at the establishment! I then turn to my brother and say "that's fine we will just eat when we leave" and she chimes in "it's on the website babe" in a very rude tone. My brother then turns to her and says "she was talking to me and that comment wasn't warranted" I then immediately get out my phone looking, I can't find this on the website ANYWHERE because I would have had that planned with all these families ahead of time or just went elsewhere. We then begin to book a reservation and still can't find it so I ask her where it is on the website and she just walks off. Maybe 20 minutes later she comes back shuts the "garage door" security follows her and tells my brother he needs to leave for cursing at the waitress. THAT NEVER HAPPENED. he got kicked out over her taking offense to him telling her that she didn't need to chime in and an eye roll. She didn't know where it was on the website is the real issue and didn't know how to respond other than "it's on the website" I just wanted to see where this was on the website, and possibly how small of print because that is a big deal honestly. What if people order all that then can't split the check so a bill can't be paid on one persons card? I mean a mixed drink is $18 so it easily adds up and not all people at this establishment would be able to do that so I wanted to see the print of that on the website. No one could show where it was. After about 20 minutes of my brother being kicked out with his screaming 5 year old, wife, and newborn I get an alert on my phone my reservation had been canceled. A few minutes later they come in and tell us we need to leave and point at the cake and presents and say that needs to be done elsewhere. My son's 11th birthday party was then spent in the parking lot all because of an eye roll and comment to not chime in basically, no foul language or aggression to her at all. Now for the actual game, you spend a good amount of money on this bay. The game froze half of the time we were there and your time still continues to go down! You have no way to call a server to come fix it and just have to hope someone will show up quickly. We waited 30 minutes on the game being fixed in an hour time slot. It would be nice if time would stop or they would have someone easily available to quickly get you back up with how often the machine freezes.
