I stopped in for a burger and fries. The menu has a good variety of American food, including sandwiches, chicken fried steak, and some fish options. The decor is very Oklahoma, like a cattle ranch was turned into a tavern. The mushroom and swiss burger was ok. I could have used a few more ingredients, maybe some grilled onions or greens. The sidewinder fries were great, highly recommended if you like thicker "wedge" type fries. Based on the food I would have given 4 stars, but our server Lexi was just 6/5. Friendly, helpful, and attentive. Overall I think it's a solid restaurant to have a good time, maybe some drinks, above-average food, and at an affordable price. read more

Good place to catch a game. They have a lot of TVs and bar space. We stopped in for late night food. Their kitchen is open until 10:30. Pizza was good. Not the best but not terrible. My husband had the BLT and that was really good. Our friends got the rotisserie chicken and really liked it. Overall good vibe and place to grab bar food. read more

Recent visit for lunch. Fantastic service by Jordan. Friendly and attentive. Food decent and lunch price was decent. Taco Tuesday. But....with all the chips and five tacos, they brought me , one 3oz salsa. I asked for two more. They charged. $2.25 for each additional 3oz!! So an additional $4.25 on a $10 meal. Yikes!! Too bad. When we travel, we try to find local places to eat. Mug Scratch Kitchen was very close to our hotel and we decided to give it a try. We sat at the bar and were greeted by Sammie. She was very personable and hospitable. My wife ordered the wedge salad. I had the bacon cheeseburger. My wife liked that the wedge salad came out similar to a chopped salad. It was very tasty. The bacon cheeseburger was delicious and cooked to perfection. We really appreciated the hospitality Sammie provided during our visit. The Mug is frequented by a lot of people I know that got to OKC for work because it's close to the hotels where we stay, it's a sports bar and has good food. The place is quite busy in the evenings, especially on a Friday night. Everything was clean, music and TVs on for entertainment... it's a bit loud, so definitely not intimate, but enjoyable mint. I recently went in and initially sat at the bar, but it was quite crowded, so I decided to get my order to go. Wings & salad, easy peasy. Their side salad is the best side I've ever had. Usually just some lettuce and a couple veggies , but this was loaded with vegetables and even had crispy fried onions on it. Nice treat! The hostess that took my order was very nice and kept me updated on the status of my order as I waited. read more

Great place to have Lunch or Dinner for a date or the whole family. Staff was great. Polite and checked on us the good amount of times. I didn't take pictures of our food but I got a chicken quesadilla and it was a lot bigger than I thought it was going to be but it was good. And my friend got the steak. Whenever in OKC for work I stop by to enjoy the food, drinks and people. The staff is always pleasant and full of conversation. It's not a quiet place, probably due to all the great conversations going on but not too loud either. This time around I had the chicken tenders, which were fantastic with the curly wedge fries, Which are off the chart. Thanks for another good night of socializing, food, and drink. read more

Scratch kitchen was what drew us in- we were unaware it was a hooters! Not really- but the outfits were like that- while I totally think women can rock whatever they want to wear- working in a misogynist atmosphere forced to show T and A is antiquated and a crappy way to treat your employees. Won't make the mistake again- food- meh- it was typical pub food with grossly overweight bearded men carrying the food out to tables. Just wrong all the way around- no need to go back when we go through OC next year. read more

Stopped in from out of town. Had no idea what type of place this was. When we walked in we were greeted by the very friendly and personable Sasheen. She was also our server and was enjoyably engaging, friendly, and funny. The food was very tasty and served very quickly. That coupled with Sasheen made my experience there quite enjoyable. AKA The Frosted Mug. They changed the name to reflect the image they want to portray. Menu the same. Good food. I'm particularly fond of the Rueben. I'll go for the Hot Chicken and ask for extra sauce on the side so I can make it hot. Fried pickles appetizer or the sampler if you're really hungry or there's more than 2 of you. I usually get the coleslaw as it's good and better for me than the sidewinder fries which are good as well. No spicy mustard for your reuben and no Louisiana Hot Sauce. I think it was Tabasco. Can't remember cause I prefer Louisiana Hot Sauce. Nice selection of local craft beers. Haven't had any of the cocktails so can't tell if they know what they're doing, but they do sell a bunch. 3 bar area's. Outside seating on the west side of the building. Service good. It's not fast food. I would suggest that you order your drink and appetizer at the same time and when the appetizer arrives order your entre. Also order your refills when the entre arrives even if you have 1/2 a beer left. read more

The manager, John, went out of his way to take great care of my sister and me. The wait staff did a great job as well. The skillet desserts were amazing. We also got the dips and spreads platter to share, and the warm bread with the pimento cheese went fast. Like, everyone kept going back for it without really saying anything. The server was good. Checked on us a few times without hovering, which I appreciated, especially since the restaurant was slammed that night. Food came out at a reasonable pace given how busy it was.

I ordered my steak rare, and they absolutely nailed it -- warm on the outside, cool in the center, and it cut like perfection. Hands down one of the best steaks I've had. The thing I'll rave the most about is the crab cake! It was perfect. You have to try it! The fried pickles and fried mushrooms were delicious, and the sauce served with the pickles was especially good. I also tried the soup of the day, a creamy chowder, which was excellent. Sat on the bar side, enjoyed a Michelob Ultra during happy hour, and had a great experience all around. Definitely worth a visit!

Okay, I finally tried Cheever's after seeing it recommended so many times, and honestly... I get…read morethe hype. I went with a friend for lunch, and the whole place had such a cute, cozy vibe. It feels a little upscale but not in a way that makes you feel underdressed if you show up in jeans. The staff was super sweet, and our server made great recommendations. I ordered the chicken fried steak, and it was SO good. The portion was huge, and the gravy was chef's kiss. Also, can we talk about the bread for a second? Because I would genuinely go back just for that. I kept telling myself "one more piece" and then suddenly half the basket was gone. The only reason it's getting 4 stars instead of 5 is because the wait for our food felt a little longer than expected. Nothing crazy, but by the time it arrived, we were definitely checking the kitchen door every few minutes lol. Other than that, everything was great. The food was comforting, the atmosphere was nice, and it felt like one of those places that's perfect for catching up with friends or taking your parents when they're in town. Definitely adding this to my list of favorite OKC spots. Next mission: trying the brunch because everyone keeps talking about it.

I wished the corn was a little sweet. Onion rings were good but not the best I've had. Old fashioned cocktail was on point though! They delivered an anniversary multi-layered red velvet cake. Pretty tasty. I would definitely return and order the same steaks just with different sides.

I am glad I didn't take any names (save for Lindsey) because knowing names would make it so much worse for this review. I arrived before the rest of my family expecting the normal craze that N.J. has on pretty much any given day. It was surprisingly slow. Walked in, went to the Host desk and stated I had a party of 4 adults and a child. I asked if I could have the "half and half" table by the door leading to the patio. I should have taken heed by the "deer in headlights" look i received that I was not dealing with a full deck of cards person. The table was empty, but she tried to convince me that i should take one of the crescent tables. Trying to remain calm at the total incompetence before me; I finally stated that I'll take a table outside...to which I received the reply: "I don't think we can do that because the tables are worked in a diagonal" I know at this point I had a, "Tha Fook" look about my face. I also got a text that the group had grown by an adult and a infant; knowing this was going to confuse the hostess even more, but best to update the count. She then said she would have to go and check with the manager if it would in fact be possible to move tables that are not bolted down, outside to fit 5 adults and 2 children. Thinking, "I'm glad I showed up early", the restaurant then began to get busy. Not too long later she returned with the manager...who explained it would not be a problem to put some tables together. He informed me that they would get it set up, but they they would wait to seat when the rest of the party arrived; rules I understand and stated as much...I did ask the manager though, why the hostess said it would be an issue...He honestly replied he didn't know why she had said that. So kudos to the Manager with the blonde hair and light colored shirt. So I sat down in the waiting area for everyone to arrive. About 5 minutes elapsed when they finally arrived. As my party entered the restaurant, i stepped up to the host stand and informed them everyone had arrived and that the party had reduced back down to the original number (4 adults and 1 child). The male host informed me that it would be another 5 minutes...not so they could set up the table...but so that the server would not be overwhelmed by a third table. Yes, that look came across my face again. The female hostess walked away to go talk to the server as I was explaining to the male host that its fine to seat us; we can wait for the server for when she was ready. At this time he was confused. Which made no sense. I mean this is a restaurant that if normally PACKED...with a line that wraps around the building and cars are fighting for a spot to park. So to say the server needed time to acclimate from two tables, to three...THAT is a major problem for your restaurant that is always busy. Well, a few minutes had gone by and we were still waiting to be taken to our table. The male server noticed (which I had noticed the whole time) that the female hostess was still talking to the server. He proceeded to run back there and they and a different manager came to the front. The manager asked confusedly if I wanted to be sat down...I replied, "Yes, we never expected to be immediately tended to by the server, we just wanted to sit down and get out of the way of all the people now coming in. He showed us to the table and asked if there was anything else (wrong question). So I told him that the hostess was incompetent. How I had originally asked for the half and half table, etc. Then the whole diagonal thing and now about the server needing time to acclimate from two tables to three. Now, the worst thing you can do as a manager of any installation is stand there and look stupid (this is not the same manager as before, mind you, this guy had brunette hair and a blue shirt). Whish was exactly what he was doing, and giving responses that sounded like he went into default mode. They didn't address the situation, they didn't acknowledge the situation...They were literally "filler talk". My reaction was again, that look. We sat down and the original server finally came out, provided us with menus and took our drink order, and left. Maybe 5 minutes later Lindsey came out with our drinks. THAT is when the experience turned for the positive. She was jovial, polite, informed us of the special (which I ordered; they need to rename it the Wilford Brimley - iykyk). She gave us the perfect amount of time. Never rushed to refill coffees or anything...and the BEST part: she didn't ask when everyone has food in their mouth how everything was...I HATE THAT!!!!. Truly, Lindsey saved the day. She needs a raise and a promotion (she should take the second manager's job because he was useless). I hope next time is better... from the beginning.
