At LA Fitness in Puyallup, Manager Sabrina makes every visit feel welcoming and worthwhile. Recently, it was her birthday, and not only did her staff celebrate her, but clients like myself joined in by decorating her desk area with flowers, candy, and heartfelt touches. That alone says a lot about the kind of person she is. Sabrina goes above and beyond every day to make the gym both beneficial and fun. I've seen her participate in different classes so she can speak knowledgeably and honestly about them. I've watched her walk through the locker rooms with staff to ensure the facility stays clean and well cared for. She even spends her own money on thoughtful extras, like decorating mirrors with positive, uplifting, and motivating messages. Most importantly, Sabrina always has a smile on her face, and everyone knows her desk is open -- whether you want to ask about personal training, equipment, the facility, or simply share a story and a laugh. Sabrina truly adds value, not just to LA Fitness, but to the entire community she helps create there.

They will double charge for random months without notice, and if you…read moreattempt to contact them to discuss the wrongful charge they will ghost you and ignore any concerns you have. If you ever attempt to cancel your membership they will neglect and purposefully disregard any option you choose as a means to contact them. If you try to email them, they will take an unnecessary amount of time to get back to you which is only extending the time it would take to cancel the membership. If you try to call them during business hours, they will never answer the phone (attempted to call numerous times on different days) and their voicemail box will be full so you can't leave a message. This anytime location has such poor business practices and does not care for their members any more than the money that members provide them. If you are thinking about this gym, DON'T JOIN. Choose a different option because this location will make their best attempt to scam you.

This summer, my 13-year-old daughter has been spending a few weeks with me, and I've brought her along to my workouts. Yesterday, my dongle was denied access to the facility. I called the number on the door but received no answer. I later received a callback from Ken Evans, who informed me that my account had been suspended for "tailgating." I explained that the individual entering with me was my daughter, but he stated that this was against policy. Frustrated, I responded--admittedly not very politely--that if I couldn't accommodate my responsibilities as a single parent, I'd prefer to cancel my membership. Ken replied by telling me he was also a single dad and dismissed my concerns as "crap." Eventually, we agreed that he would send me the necessary instructions to proceed with cancellation. I can't help but feel disappointed by the lack of flexibility in this situation. I understand policies are in place for a reason, but I also believe it's not unreasonable for a parent--who is a paying member--to bring their child along briefly during a summer visit. Perhaps I'm wrong, but I think it's unfortunate, especially given that I've brought additional business to the gym in the past.

It's reasonably priced as well. Unfortunately, due to COVID the childcare program is on pause for the time being. Re gym fees, they have first responder discounts. There are different options to pay such as monthly fee, drop in fee, a 10 pack class. I like the ease of the app the gym uses so you can safely check into classes. During COVID, there are only so many people that are allowed in the gym at a time. The staff really do go above and beyond to keep everything clean and I feel very safe working out here. I love the atmosphere of this gym. The coaches are so good; they're motivating, professional, knowledgeable, and really help you get the best workout possible. The staff and the patrons alike are friendly and welcoming. If you're thinking about joining CrossFit, you should check out this gym and call to try it out. Misleading sales tactics and terrible customer service…read more I came in for a free pass I saw advertised and was pressured into signing up after being told I could cancel and get some money back if it didn't work out. That was not true. When I tried to cancel, I was told I missed a 3-day window that was never disclosed--and I was even blocked from canceling sooner because they don't process cancellations on weekends. Staff was rude, dismissive, and took zero accountability. After reading other reviews, it looks like this is a pattern. I've escalated this and will be filing formal complaints if it's not resolved. Be careful--get everything in writing. Especially all you new NWFIT members. Careeeeful

They have a great selection of cardio machines, weight machines and free weights. AND of course anytime tanning that comes with your membership. It's always spotless clean and the members are all ages and all fitness levels. Intimidation would never be an issue here. The owners own the Buckley and Orting locations and I've worked out plenty of times at both. They both rock. In fact, I think I'll post this review on both locations. Also, with your Anytime Fitness membership, I love that I can visit any Anytime Fitness location around the country for no extra charge. This is great because I travel often.
