I cannot recommend Cushman Paint & Body based on my experience. I paid for the repair of a church member's 2024 Lexus after accepting responsibility for damaging the vehicle. Because it was a self-pay repair, I specifically asked about the estimate. I was told it included everything that might be needed for the repair so there would be no surprises and that the final price could even be lower if some items were not necessary. However, when I went to pay the final bill on July 14, it was several hundred dollars higher because I was told additional broken brackets had been found. That contradicted what I had been told when the estimate was prepared. I paid the additional amount anyway so the vehicle owner could pick up the car on time. After the vehicle was picked up, we discovered the trunk liner and rubber trim had not been installed correctly. The shop told us to bring the vehicle back, but I inspected it myself and was able to correct the improperly installed rubber trim in just a few minutes. We also noticed the replacement rear bumper was missing the Lexus emblem that had been on the original bumper. I emailed the employee handling the repair several times and never received a response. When I finally reached a supervisor, Sarah, I was told they would install the missing emblem only if I paid an additional charge. I explained that I had already paid the full amount, including the unexpected additional charges, and that I had been told the estimate covered everything needed to restore the vehicle. I was told it was a "human mistake," but the shop would not correct it without charging me again. Mistakes happen, but what disappointed me most was the lack of communication, the lack of accountability, and the expectation that the customer should pay to correct the shop's own oversight. If you choose this shop, inspect your vehicle carefully before accepting it. Check every trim piece, emblem, liner, and detail. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Cushman Paint & Body and would choose a different repair shop in the future. read more

Where to start? Had my truck for over 6 months. Said it was ready. I went to pick it up and had multiple issues. Left it there for about another month. Took it on a trip and found more issues. Took it back again. Called a couple weeks later said it was done. At this point its been about 6.5-7 months. Alignment was still off, battery connection cover still missing, air breather box not anchored down (found this when changing the oil and filters). And side molding on passenger door is coming off. Called and talked to Sarah ( a manager). Met her at 1:30. Basically gave me a run around, said there tech said the air box was anchored (a lie). I will be fixing these issues myself. Next call is Columbia County BBB. Please do you due diligence and DO NOT use Cushman Paint and Body. On a good note Olivia the receptionist was very professional, courteous. After an accident, my husband dropped his truck off at Cushmans to get a repair cost for the insurance company. We were told, specifically, that it would take 25 business days and he, I don't remember his name, told my husband that he would call him HIMSELF and keep him up to speed. We waited. And waited. We dropped the truck off around Valentines day. My husband finally called and he was told that since no one came to claim the truck, they called the salvage yard to come get it. Way out in South Augusta. You did what? No one called us. NO ONE!! Wait a minute. Did I mention NO ONE CALLED US!! Bad Business guys! Really bad business. Duly noted. read more

I went in to get an unbiased estimate on repair cost for my truck. I asked for a self pay estimate. After some resistance from the front office staff, I admitted it may be an insurance claim. However, I asked again for an unbiased estimate. The actual repairs shouldn't be any different whether insurance was involved or not, right? Well, they (2 different staff members) refused to even look at my truck or give an estimate because it (possibly) involved an insurance company. Hello, My name is Bobby K. I own a 2010 Audi A8L that was damaged during Hurricane Helene. I sent photos of my vehicle to Cushman's on Washington Rd for repair estimates. My initial repair estimate in October of 2024 was approximately $4500 and I was told that they were really booked and they would not be able to get to my car until February of 2025. I said okay, so they came out and towed my vehicle. The towing fee was about $280, which is steep. I think they were benefiting from the storm. I didn't hear anything for the next 6 months; therefore, I started calling to get an update. It took multiple attempts before I got an email from Geremiah on March 13th, notifying me that I can view my estimate. The new repair estimate was $20,342.44. I definitely was not paying this much to repair a $7000 car. They held my car for another couple of weeks as I was out of town for 3 of the next 4 weeks. I decided to have another towing company go pick up my vehicle so I could have it re-assessed. My vehicle was returned to my house on Monday 4/21/2025. Technicians at Cushman's had disassembled several panels around the dash and base of the driver's seat. Furthermore, someone had punched a large 2-inch hole in my gear shifting compartment. I continued to examine my vehicle to notice that my car was full of mold and it would not start. When my car was picked up by Cushman's, it was running just fine. There was just body damage from the tree limbs that fell on it. I further inspected my vehicle and found that my truck was full of water, approximately 7 inches. My spare tire was covered. There was tape over the back glass, but it probably was put on after my car had been exposed to rain elements for months. When I picked up my vehicle, the accounting department charged me $125 administrative fee, which had to be paid before they would release my vehicle, so I paid it. I spoke to Michelle about my issues and concerns and she transferred me to the accounting department, who told me that they were not responsible to re-assemble my vehicle when they do a repair inspection. She said that they don't have to put parts or components back together. Basically, if I interpret what she was saying is that they could do whatever damage they could and not be responsible. My car won't crank. The battery is totally dead. The water that was allowed to get into my vehicle has probably damaged some of the electrical components. Cushman's had no regard for my property and did nothing to preserve it while it was on their property in their possession. I am currently consulting with my lawyer to consider a civil law suit. I don't care about winning the law suit. I want to make sure I put future customers on notice. Zero stars is their rating. read more

On December 27, 2024 my car was towed to Cushman's following an auto accident that occurred in a parking lot. On February 14, 2025 the insurance company made a final decision that my car was repairable. It was a close call because my car was an older vehicle. However, when I contacted Cushman's about the repair, I was told very bluntly by a man named Chip, that they would not do the repairs. He was quite disrespectful. It seems Cushman's is not there to provide a fair service for a fair price. It did not matter that USAA said my car was repairable. Cushman's can make more money (read that as 'soak the insurance company for more money') by only working on relatively new vehicles. And that would be fine, as long as it was part of their advertising. Or if they had told me from the beginning that they would not repair my vehicle regardless of what the insurance company said. Hopefully, none of my newer vehicles will need a body shop, but if they do, Cushman's will definitely NOT be considered. read more

The people here are rude, customer service is a joke, working on your vehicle is an even bigger joke, and the people working for them are a joke. Truck is finally finished, but not until after I took it back and while "fixing" the door, they broke the window, so I had to take it back yet again. The wheel well now has some weird non-plastic, non-metal material that's almost like felt that is basically a dirt and dust magnet and you guessed it, this is GEICO's fault, not theirs. read more

If anyone tells you Cushman's Paint and Body is anything other than the worst place to take a vehicle for repairs, then they are lying and lying bad. I would run far away from them. This is my 2nd vehicle I have taken to them, the 1st one had very minor repairs and I was told it would take 5 weeks to repair. I got it back 6months later (they lie about where they are at in the repair process the entire time) the 2nd vehicle again had minor repairs and i was told 5 weeks again. I had to choose them because I took it in right after the hurricane came through and everybody was backed up, and Cushman's was able to get to it quicker (LOL). Almost 5 months later and still no vehicle and again they have lied through the entire process. I would drive to ATL and drop my vehicle off before I go back to this joke of a place. Oh yeah, I got my 1st car back and the hood was misaligned, so I had to take it back LOL. You would think after 6 months they could at least give it back to me correctly! I am afraid to see what they give back to me after this crap fest! PLEASE do yourself a favor and do not listen to anyone who gave anything higher than 1 star! do not blame me if you take it into them! wish I could give negative stars! read more

Unless you want to be without a car for 3 months (and counting), I don't recommend this place. I took my car in for a very minor repair (small dent to the door) over 3 months ago and they still have not finished working on my car. The absolute worst auto repair and body shop in the area. read more

The customer service was great as well as the job that they did! They also finished 5 days before they quoted. Having enterprise on sitelevision was a plus. I dealt with Brandon Cushman and he was great to deal with. He made sure my new car looked new before I left. I will only do business with them from now on. He also thanked my wife and I for our military service. I will recommend him to everyone I know. The price seemed great for all the work they did. Update - after looking closer I found over 30 grits of sand in the paint (see photos with the blue marker). When I showed Brandon Cushman I was told that USAA allows so many defects and that he will have to get them to look at it. After showing him some work that was done by another body shop, he changed his mind and said that he could repaint it. They repainted it and provided me with a rental car. I picked up my car today and it was better, but there was some small spots where it looked like the sprayer might have been clogged. I wish I would have went somewhere else. I will not be going back here except for warranty work. If they can't get a bumper right after doing it twice, I definitely would not trust them with a whole car. I would expect this from Mako, but their prices are diffently not Mako prices. read more

they have repaired my car two times on two different cars and I'm about to go to them again for my girlfriends car. I don't question their work at all. it comes out perfect like it was never hit in the first place. and that is what i want it to look like. like it never happened. not jerked around with excuses, no time delays, drop it off, pick it up when they say its gonna be done, "it's done". they call you and give you updates. I've had horrible experiences with auto body shops fraught with delays. Weeks later the paint still doesn't look the same, excuses like lighting, age, blending. Paid today. Went to retrieve my truck and the battery was dead. The emblems were reused and didn't actually fit the vehicle they just shoved them on there. They also managed to mess up my right side blinker after my truck had literally been in there care after being delayed twice and Sitting on there lot for almost three weeks. I will never, ever come here again for anything. My damages were purely cosmetic, you think they'd be able to handle something as simple as that. read more

I will never go anywhere but Cushman's I was rear-ended a year ago and Cushman's did a fine job for us, so when I was run into again they were who I requested for service. Their tow was prompt even though at the end of the work day. I called the next day explaining that I needed to have some kind of ROUGH estimate on the length of repairs because I was meeting family who were driving in from the western US and we were meeting 4 hours away, and needed to rent a car for a week if repairs would take a long time. They patiently explained the process they needed to go through to trouble shoot the repair process, but expedited the work and allowed me to leave town on time with no disruption of my plans. I had been horribly stressed because I had so many items and people relying on me leaving town and bringing things in my larger vehicle, I cannot tell you how relieved I was that they were able to help me out. I will be forever grateful and will never go anywhere else! And they do great work, too!. read more

My husband and I are so happy that we found this place. We have had a lot of bad luck with vehicle accidents (not our fault) and have had a lot of terrible experiences with other places in Augusta. What a relief to find Cushman's in Evans! They did a great job on my husband's Hyundai Genesis: some minor fender-bender damage and also some touch up paint on other areas of the car (at our request). The service was very fast and they got to work right away on the car when we brought it in. When we got the car back it was cleaned and vacuumed nicely. We came here at the suggestion of our insurance company (Geico) and couldn't be more happy! Now we know exactly where to go if we ever need body work done! read more

They should be ashamed for the work they did on my vehicle. The gaps were small on the bottom and large at the top. Fish eyes all in the paint. I took my wrecked vehicle to Cushman and it sat, and sat, and sat for over 30 days. Never got the estimator, Angelo, to give me an estimate other than a verbal over the phone, "Uhhh, about two grand..." The car never moved. The only time the car was entered was to take some parts off the interior, as I discovered, when I went to retrieve it and take it to a reputable shop down the street. I have had minor work done at this location a couple of times and never had a problem. This time I thought would be no different. Yes, they did a good job repairing some minor work on my car on the outside; however, I realized they created problems inside. There was no need at all for them to go inside of my car in the first place. This experience has taught me to take pictures of my vehicle before handing it over to a body shop because they can always claim it was that way before they got it. read more

I would not recommend this place. I got rear-ended and was, for some reason, given a recommendation for this place. They had to replace my bumper and repaint it. They also ended up replacing my TPMS system, one of my tires, and other issues. When I received my car from them the FIRST time....everything seemed to be working great and I was impressed. Until I brought it to a dealer (a family friend) to maybe trade it in. They pointed out how the paint on HALF of my car (not just the bumper) was painted incorrectly and left a "wrinkled type affect". Due to this, it is now harder to sell my car for a decent price. Shortly after this I noticed my bumper was hanging down in the middle. They had one job. Also my passenger airbag was messed up and this was not a problem I had before I brought it to them. After I find this out I immediately call the lady at the front desk. This lady gave me attitude about me calling, shocker. I bring my car back in to be fixed for an additional 2 weeks. When I get my car back everything is fine until I open my trunk, this is where I find MAGGOTS! How does this even happen? Needless to say, I will never return and I don't recommend this place to anyone. read more
