Decent pizza, I ordered a half pepperoni and half mushroom/olive. one half was cooked well, the other half was burnt. The crust tasted like saltine cracker which was a little odd. I'm quite the pizza snob, I feel like Costco would compete with this one. It's cool that they have the different sizes but I'll always choose quality over quantity when it comes to pizza. The pepperoni was solid it didn't taste cheap. The pizza coulda used more cheese on spots. The sauce was just sauce, not tangy, sweet, or anything that stood out. I also hate when my pizza has bubbles... Especially when it's thin crust. It just doesn't make sense. If you can't roll a pizza with your hands, then use a rolling pin.. NO BUBBLES ON MY CRUST!!!! I also got the garlic cheese bread. That was pretty good. A little heavy on the Parmesan, but I enjoyed the overloaded garlic taste. Fresh garlic was used, but the Parmesan cheese, which definitely wasn't fresh and reminded me of the Kraft Parmesan cheese in the canister gave it a powdery texture which I didn't care for , either way, it was tasty! First they got my entire order incorrect to include my phone number and address I gave them at least 3 times each. Then I'm told 15-20 minutes for delivery. 15 minutes later I receive a call saying somehow I magically, all of a sudden after my food should have been cooked and in the car, did not reach the minimum; also that it would be 45-60 minutes from that point to get it delivered but i had to buy more or they wouldn't do it. Customer service was horrific and they should no respect, care, remorse, or even any understanding of how this was unacceptable and made it my fault, like I took the order and gave misinformation. I cannot review the food because the 30 minutes prior to even getting the food was so horrible and entirely unprofessional that I was not going to wait around for more issues. read more

Great pizza and a great value. I grew up in New Jersey and this pizza satisfies my NE roots. The thin crust doesn't have the crunch of NY pizza, but the seasoning is spot on. If you are having a party or have an army of teenage boys at your house to feed, order the giant. You can feed 5 boys with leftovers for less than $35! The most comparable flavor is at Round Table, but at a fraction of the price. My son and his friends are always requesting that I pick up a pie. read more

I just moved to town from San Francisco. I've seen Cusimano's when I go to the Albertson's and thought I would give it a try. When I looked it up on Yelp, I was excited to see so many great reviews. I remained skeptical but thought we would try a couple different crust pizzas and a pasta to test it out. Not only was the manager working there extremely nice and accommodating, but the food was beyond expectations. I come from an Italian family, and my family are really good chefs. This place tastes like heaven. The deep dish pizza is amazing. The chicken Parmesan was cooked to perfection, and the marinara on the pasta was superb! We usually go to Teri Cafe in the same area--but my husband was in the mood for pizza. So we got the gourmet vegee--it was delicious! Not too greasy and my 3 fav toppings--onion, black olive and green peppers--it had mushrooms too. Thin crust! More good news--they deliver to North Carlsbad!! This used to be a good place to eat, but I placed two separate orders on the same day and he got both of them wrong. I ordered a pizza with bell peppers and he gave me a pepperoni. Later I ordered a pizza with pineapple and he made a Hawaiian with Canadian bacon. I don't eat meat on pizza from regular pizza parlors. I had been going to him for almost two years. I won't be going back. He didn't even give me my money back for the pepperoni pizza that I took back. I don't advise going if you are going to order over the phone. Fast and FRESH! We love Cusimano's. We do take out - no real place to eat inside this small place. Really just a front for the cooking in the back. Really Great crust, we get the regular large and eat all of the crust, because it is fresh and yeasty! We always get pizza with one of their salads (the ranch dressing is fresh made), but the many other Italian items on the menu look really tempting and I will definitely try one of these days when we aren't in the mood for Pizza. I've been ordering from this store for a very long time now and I've learned my way around the menu. The pasta's I've tried (spaghetti with meatballs, fettuccine, and the shrimp one) have all been disappointing. I don't think they make their own sauces by the way it tastes. I think the chef-boy-ardee stuff in a can tastes better than their spaghetti. The wings are decent. They bake them instead of frying them so for me personally I don't like them. They do use an adequate amount of sauce though. If you liked the wings baked then you'll enjoy these. I just don't personally. The salads are fantastic. They shove as much veggies in there as they possibly can and I've never been disappointed. I usually order the Caesar and the romaine is always fresh and crisp and their croutons are huge. They also don't skimp on the sauce. I've gotten two cups for a single order before. I haven't tried their sandwiches or calzones but from what I've read they aren't the best. The cheesecake is a no-no. You can tell they don't make it themselves and it costs 3$ for one slice and 30$ for the whole thing. If you're really hankering for dessert than the one slice will suffice but it tastes like the kind of cheesecake you buy pre-made from a grocery store. Their strong point is their pizza and cheesey bread. I personally hate the over-fluffy pizza you get from most chains like Pizza Hut or Little Caesars. Cusimano's pizza is what I (believe is) real Italian pizza. Just plain cheese pizza from there is AMAZING. I haven't tried their specialty pizzas simply because their normal pizza is so delicious. The prices on the pizza are hard to beat too. You can order anything from a small to their extra extra large, the box is so big you have to turn it sideways to fit it through a door and it's not that expensive. The cheesy bread is also to die for. They DO NOT skimp on the cheeses they use and it's always baked to perfection. One of my only complaints is that they're almost always late by 20-40 minutes. The pizza is worth the wait though. Though not everything on their menu is the best this is my favorite place for pizza in my area. I'd recommend to anyone who is a pizza fan. read more

I work at TJMAXX In the same shopping center as Cusimanos, and i live this pizza shop. They have delicious pizza, great deals, and cheap prices. They are also good in their speed of orders and they have a great staff. The owning family is so nice, and they are great to talk to. 10/10 would reccomend. read more

I had a groupon so my friend and i went for lunch yesterday. we got a medium cheese pizza and a order of chicken parmiagian that came with spaghetti which we split. The chicken was juicy and tasty and the spaghetti had a delicious tomatoey sauce and plenty of it which i like. But the pizza, the pizza was outstanding. The crust was thin and crispy and the sauce and cheese were just perfect. I,m from new york city and this is exactly how i like my pizza. I looked this place up on yelp and clicked on to their link to order. They have an online menu and an icon that says "order here". So after entering my info for my delivery order I get a response saying " you will be contacted shortly to confirm your order". 15 minutes go by and I'm thinking I better call and find out what's up? So I call and "Pedro" answers the phone. I asked him for the status of my "online order". He says "were not on Internet" I said "yes you are" he said "oh no we not. I recently moved to Oceanside, and I have been hunting around for a good local pizza place I can order from regularly. There's a couple options around here, Round Table (good, but freaking expensive) Little Ceasars (garbage), Pizza Hut (more garbage), Gianni's (sauce is gross), I'm sure there's some others but I have yet to try them. Anyhow, I tend to go for more of the mom-and-pop type stores, and that is what Cusimano's is. And it is GOOOOOOD. It was my first time here, and i went to pick up my food. I called it in and they told me 15 minutes. Good timing. It's a small store in a strip mall with a couple tables inside and out for dine in, but it's mostly a take-out and delivery joint. I went inside and was greeted by a friendly guy. I don't think it had even been 15 min and my food was already ready. Awesome. The total came out to $22-something for a small salad, large cheese bread with two sauces, and a large one topping pizza, which is pretty cheap, i think. So now i drive home to try out the grub. Salad was fresh and good. The cheese bread i think is their regular pizza dough with a bunch of cheese and garlic on it. Whatever it is, it's BOMB. Now the pizza....SO GOOD. I ordered the square style (they have regular round, thin and square) and it was a medium thickness, a little crispy, a little airy. You could tell the square was pressed into a pan like chicago style but not that thick. The sauce was a perfect balance of sweet, tangy and spices, and just the right ratio with the cheese on the pizza. They have a lot of other stuff on the menu also which I will be trying soon, i'm sure. They have some pastas, calzones, and sandwiches (they even have a cheesesteak sandwich).
