The pizza is so good! Tried a calzone for the first time here and it was delicious. And the staff is always very friendly.

This place is awesome. I ordered a pizza pie with an entree pasta dish. We began to eat it right there on the spot after a long day in San Diego. I also got a salad and cheesy bread. The Greek salad was sooo delightful. I'm a veggie person, and that salad was fresh and on point. Biting into this pizza reminded me of pizza back east, for real. The owner said the salad is not premade, he puts it together fresh once you order. He also said he makes his own pizza dough, along with other items. I really enjoyed my meal. We ordered regular pepperoni pizza a Marguerita pizza cheese sticks and buffalo wings. All of it was disgusting tasted old. My money was WASTED!!! $50 to eat trash. I went to this place 3 different times since COVID hit. EVERY TIME, the man and woman were not wearing masks, gloves, no protection while making food. There were 2-3 little kids running around that were there in the kitchen, no masks either. I am surprised the health department has not closed them down. When I heard Sicilian style crust, hard to come by in this neck of the woods. Amazing. Soft inside, crispy outside, and the sauce and cheese taste great. Great prices, fast service, friendly employees. Stopped back again a few weeks later and tried the regular crust and chicken fingers: both were really good. My girlfriend and I decided to try this Pizza spot yesterday, we walk in... Immediately we notice the place is not very clean and there are opened beer containers on a cutting table in the kitchen area. We decided to give it a shot anyway. We ordedered and paid cash. The gentlemen who took our order started making our pizza, he DID NOT wash his hands after handling cash. He then proceeded to handle a pocket knife to open a packaged toy for a child that was also in the kitchen area. He again, did not wash his hands and continued working on our pizza. At that point I had enough. I got up and asked him for our money back as he was handling money, various items then handling food which was unsanitary as he did not wash his hands. He proceeded to give us our money back and asked we never go back. I informed him, that was not something he would need to worry about because what he was doing was disgusting and I would never fathem taking my family to this place and putting there health at risk. I called and ordered a Pepperoni Pizza. This pizza was great, it was fresh and on point, just everything about it was so good honestly. Like the dough was really good and the cheese was just on point, the sauce wasn't weak nor overbearing, this is the Goldilocks pizza cause it was just right in every way. When you can actually get pizza here, it's delicious if it's made how you want. However, there was a time I tried to visit for two days in a row, and even though someone was in the store after 11am, it was locked with the truck parked outside (in the 20 minute parking). On the 2nd occurence, I called to see why they weren't open and was told they would be opening nearly an hour late (noonish) because delivery orders were being made and had to go out first. Huh? Seriously, have more people on hand near the lunch rush, it just makes sense. (Fortunately there are several other decent places to eat in the area that open on time.) There were also a couple of times our orders were botched. We had ordered "torpedoes" to go, and they used Canadian Bacon instead of salami, which we didn't notice until we had to cut it open at home. It happened twice, and since my husband will eat anything, and we didn't want to have to go back, we just kept it. I'm still trying to figure out if they were out of salami or just didn't know what it was. And, since it was a torpedo, you don't find out until it's about to be eaten. (Which then leaves you with deciding how ambitious you are to get what you really ordered that night.) I'm not gonna lie about how tasty the food is, though, and that I've been known to do a little happy dance while I'm eating it, but due to mistakes and poor service, I have also chosen to order elsewhere when I don't want to deal with the hassle of my call-in order being messed up. OMG! I was wondering what happened to this place. It used to be called Jets, as Danny H. mentioned in his review. I would get weekly deliveries of this when I used to live on Pendleton. One of my buddies moonlighted at this place, and would bring a back a bunch of pizzas and sell them to whoever was around. The pizzas were rectangular, with a nice dark and crispy crust which tasted amazing. Enough of my history with this place...I was in the area for business and figured I'd try again to locate this amazing Jets pizza from my past. I tried to find this place a couple of years ago, but didn't have any luck. I had only been there once before some 10 years ago, but drove around hoping to find it. Drove through a couple of strip malls on Plaza Dr. and found Cusimanos Pizza which kinda looked like it was in the Jets location. I pulled out my BB Storm and Yelped this place. Thanks again for the Jets reference Danny. I went in and talked to the guy behind the counter who confirmed that this was indeed Jets and only the name had changed. So I ordered a personal pizza with pepperoni and mushrooms. The place is tiny with only a couple of tables up against a wall in front of the counter. This is definitely a takeout or delivery pizza joint. After about 10 minutes my pizza was ready to go. Pipin' hot and cut into six square "slices". So was the pizza as good as I remembered? Meh...Unfortunately, this pizza didn't bring back the happy memory of Jets. Neither the crust nor the sauce was as good as I remembered. Oh well, at least I know what happened to Jets. Inexpensive, fresh, and fast. I searched forever for a non-chain pizza place other than the famed Pizza Port and finally came across Cusimano's after four years of living in the area. My husband and I always order a small New York crust with extra sauce which is perfect for two people. Eating Cusimano's kinda got out of hand, because I was eager to eat it 3-4 times a week. Now that I live in San Francisco, I still haven't found pizza that compares. Out-of-town friends visited last weekend, and what did they bring with them all the way from Oceanside? We usually get Costco but decided to try their pizza. We ordered a giant pepperoni and have fallen in love. The delivery girl was super nice and the pizza was cooked perfect. We've gotten takeout from this place a couple times, and it's one our new favorites. Definitely west coast style pizza, medium thickness crust, good cheese to sauce ratio. Not much as far as a sit down restaurant, seating is limited, but the guy that runs the place is always really nice. Definitely a top recommendation for takeout pizza. I ordered a meatball torpedo( their version of a calzone) what I got was pizza dough stuffed with lettuce tomatoes and cheese and a bunch of Italian dressing only a couple sliver slices of beef to be found and no marinara sauce. It was pathetic Greek salad stuffed in a pita. I'm not just disappointed I feel outright ripped off. I should have left when I walked in and noticed how dirty the place was floors and tables all had crumbs all over them. This is not a place you want to go. This place used to be worth it, pizza is always great. Unfortunately their customer service has declined so much over the last few years I'm pretty sure I just ordered from them for the last time. I've gotten used to orders taking longer than quoted, but today was ridiculous. I ordered through door dash, this complaint has nothing to do with door dash. Before I placed my order I was excited to see only a 17 minute wait, anticipating my order to reach me in about 30. After placing the order that time jumped to 27-37 minutes ‍ annoying but still would be here before I had to leave for work. My dasher arrived to the restaurant about 15 mins before it was to be delivered (about average) and he told me the pizza wasn't even in the oven yet. I'm a vegetarian and ordered the pesto penne pasta with the ziti. they didn't bring the penne pasta and only brought a large order of ziti. the ziti had meat sauce, the menu does not say meat sauce and most places do not make this with meat sauce. i was so starving that i thought that i would eat some anyways. the sauce was horrible, i couldn't eat it. all that i ate for dinner was garlic bread. my husband ordered the spaghetti and meatballs. HATED IT! He gave his to the dog. My husband will eat anything, I was shocked. it was the sauce, it was the same meat sauce and the sauce was awful. I don't think spaghetti and meatballs are usually served with meat sauce, either. My son had the calzone, he ate it but wouldn't order it again. he said the dough was falling apart. I've eaten at Cusimano's a couple of times, before the pandemic, and the food was great. So, I was really looking forward to the meal.
