Took my Mini Cooper in yesterday to change the brakes, went to pick it up and saw one of the…read moremechanics smoking in my brand new car. So now my car smells like cigarettes! The "owner" test drove the car and said it was fine. I immediately asked him about the brake like that is still on, he said "you have to drive it and it will go away". Drove the car to Ikea and the car starts making this extremely loud howling, screeching noise. I went back to them and the "owner" tells me that it's probably the rotors or I didn't buy OEM brakes for the car. I said Jurid is specifically made for German cars. I said it's funny how all of a sudden now it's the car's fault. I told him that I have to press the brake pedal all the way down for the car to stop. My old brakes would stop on a dime. He said he can't do anything about that and I need to change the rotors. The mechanic that referred me checked the rotors and they are good for one more brake change so that's complete rubbish. So I asked him about the brake light on the dash and he had the nerve to tell me he doesn't have the computer to reset my car's computer. So my car still thinks I need to get the brakes changed as when I start it, it tells me. Which is why I changed the brakes in the first place!!!! How do you do half the work get paid, mess my damn car up and have the nerve to say you can't do anything about it. Clearly they have no idea how to fix German vehicles and now I'm scared to drive my car because the brakes don't work and the noise it's making is extremely annoying. So off the the BMW/Mini dealer I go. Horrible!!! Will be contacting the BBB.

I have an old 2002 Civic and these things need their timing belts replaced every 100,000 miles (or so I'm told), and that's about where she was when I bought it. Shouldn't cost much more than 500$ (again, so I'm told). So I checked this place out. The guy who runs the place, Danny, told me he'd have it done by the next day and he certainly did. Turns out my engine had all sorts of other problems that he fixed while he was under the hood. My gut reaction was "Here we go." but things were not what they seemed. The overall price after labor and all of the other fixes he provided was, as I was told, not much higher than 500$. I've since heard even more good things about this place and I can say I'm a believer. This will be my go-to place from now on.

Peter answered the call and it was like talking to a long-time neighbor. Fast help on that one. Just went back for my latest inspection, a dashboard warning light, and a rear bulb. Again, Peter answered and confirmed we could get it done the next day. They replaced the rear bulb and just charged for the part - no gigantic labor charge. They informed us a certain part in these kinds of cars continues to trigger a dashboard warning light even when all rear bulbs are OK. Other places would try to talk you into fixing that part unnecessarily, but not this place. They just want to take good care of you and keep you as a happy, returning customer.

They were able to fix the tire almost always. The rare time or 2 they couldn't, they have a good selection of cheap used tires and many new ones. But come on, when your tire gets messed up, you just want the cheapest fix, so used is fine. I saw the review about nasty attitude. Really? ! Ur getting a darn tire fixed, not getting married. You don't even need to talk, pull up and point. Heck you don't even need to point, they'll figure it out. In seconds they have it off, and in the bucket looking for leaks. 12 bucks later you are out.

When we brought it back, he claimed there's nothing he can do. So we took it to a trusted guy in Fort Lee, NJ and that's when we found out how badly Nigel botched the job. Missing bolts and parts and hoses not hooked back up - total mess. We took him to court and we won, only to have him refuse to pay the court ordered damages and threaten to counter sue. Of course, no court took his claim, and we went back to the court to force his hand in paying. What a nightmare! This place is NO PLACE for anyone not looking to get screwed. Run away!
