    Absolutely the worse move out cleaners! This company doesn't seem to know what a move out cleaning entails! My tenant hired Tai's Custom Cleaners to do a move out cleaning and paid them $400 in cash. He was told they would send him a receipt but as of this review, they have yet to provide a receipt to my tenant or to me. Upon final checkout inspection, I discovered cob webs in the corner of the living room carpet, dirty vinyl floors in the main entry, kitchen and bathroom; food residue stains on the exterior of the kitchen cabinets; a thick layer of lint on the vinyl floor next to the dryer; streaks on the living room sliding glass doors and windows; residue on the vertical blinds in the bedroom and living room; and lint on the A/C filter. See some attached photos. Since my new tenant was moving in later in the day after I did the final checkout inspection, my friend and I tried to re-clean the unit since Tai said he couldn't re-clean the unit until the following week. The photo of the bag of dirty wipes was the result of my re-cleaning the unit which was after Tai and his Custom Cleaners of Hawaii claimed they were finished cleaning the unit. When we called Tai to come back and re-clean the unit properly, he sounded surprised, cocky and upset. When Tai came, instead of checking the unit to ensure everything was properly cleaned, he kept asking us to show him where he needed to re-clean. Don't waste your time and money hiring this company cuz you will be extremely disappointed!

    IN MY ENTIRE LIFE, I HAVE NEVER HAD CLEANING SERVICE THIS ABHORRENT, UNPROFESSIONAL, OR UNETHICAL BEFORE (I've moved 6 times in the past 15 years from California-Washington-Florida-several locations in Hawaii). I STRONGLY RECOMMEND YOU READ THIS REVIEW AND OTHERS WITH "1 STAR", especially the ones with evidence-based photos and content. I paid $850 for cleaning and I am angry and livid (I am furious enough to write my first Yelp review). I am attaching photos to let you objectively determine whether this is the type of cleaning service you are looking for. - Mildew and mold (in plain sight....can you imagine what else hasn't been cleaned?!?) - Dead moth (this photo was taken in the living room) - Dead cockroach (yes, you read that correctly) - Another area NOT cleaned (UGH!) - More bugs and debris (as if you weren't convinced yet that you SHOULD NOT work with this company) Due to the high reviews here, I decided to go with Custom Cleaners Hawaii. I did not heed my "gut feeling" to ignore the bad reviews because I honestly thought the good reviews outweighed the bad ones (and I'm referred to as an "eternal optimist" in my groups of family/friends). For your sake, I STRONGLY suggest reading the other reviews with "1 star," especially the ones with evidence-based photos and content. In addition to questioning, WTF DID HE DO? I feel disgusted that a company like this can legitimately exist. I agree with Rika H.'s post on 3/2/2016, "Honestly, It was so bad I thought I had just been SCAMMED. I had to research it & nothing came up to my surprise. I'm still skeptical." Here is a chronological timeline of what occurred in our case. When we made the appointment several weeks in advance via telephone, Tai cheerfully said he would show up with 1-2 helpers. I felt good about this. On the day of the cleaning, Tai showed up 4 HOURS LATE BY HIMSELF (I had to go to work late!!!). And then, he asked us to pay him in cash @&*%. Is this legitimate?!?! WTF!!! Since we needed it cleaned for our checkout a couple of days later, we begrudgingly agreed. Tai was not able to complete the job that same day (as promised) because he started late and by himself. How were we supposed to know if he would actually show up the following day (especially since we paid him in cash)?!?! On top of that, he asked us to leave one of the doors open since we could not meet him exactly when he wanted to clean. The following day, we held our breaths in hopes that the home would actually be clean when we got off work. It was TERRIBLE!!! Like, saving your money for a year to go to Disneyland, and then finding out....oh SH*T someone else took your vacation for you. Seriously, he took our money and our excitement, and left us stranded, angry, and frustrated. I ended up cleaning the home by myself all day and all night because my apartment inspection was the following day. Although Tai says he will return to address anything left unclean, honestly, it was like this throughout the ENTIRE HOME. I told the property management to REMOVE THIS COMPANY from their list for their own protection. I will end by restating--please see the photos and read the other reviews carefully as you decide whether or not to use Tai and Custom Cleaners Hawaii. I wrote this review to warn others who hopefully will avoid justifiably feeling the same way I do.

    Tenants moved out and left the place a mess. Filthy and there was a nasty smell. It's brand new now! Will definitely call Tai again.

I first contracted "The Maids" service in 2023. It was not my first time using a cleaning service, but I knew nothing about them. If I remember correctly, I'd seen a van with their logo, and thought that I'd one day give them a try. Well, that first time was absolutely spectacular. They arrived early, and literally cleaned my condo from top to bottom. I mean, the place was sparkling! I was so impressed with the job they'd done, I called them afterward to add a generous tip to the fee they'd charged. I was pleased, and recommended them to friends every chance I got. For the last two years, I'd used another service, simply because they were friends of one of my neighbors, and she'd asked me to support them. This year, they were booked solid for weeks, so I gladly called "The Maids" again. Well, in the two years since I'd first used them, their fee had gone up dramatically, but that wasn't an issue, as, given my previous experience, I believed it would be worth it. So. I made the appointment, and as promised they texted me the day before, to let me know the window of time in which they'd be arriving. However, on said day, I got a call from one of the cleaners telling me that they were running behind and would be a few minutes late. That actually turned out to be a half an hour later than the scheduled time, but, since I'd allotted several hours for them to complete their work, that was not an issue. When they arrived, they got to work immediately, and I got out of their way. I have a two bedroom, two bath unit, so I wrangled my two cats into the second bedroom, and told them to let me know when they were finished with the rest of the unit, and I'd move the cats to the other room. After about an hour and fifteen minutes or so, they knocked to let me know that they were ready to clean the second bedroom, so I moved the cats, and let them get to work. Strangely, only a few minutes passed before they informed me that they were done. I quickly did a superficial inspection (my mistake), since I thought I already knew what the quality of their cleaning would be. They let me know what the final charge would be, and they left. And then I started to really inspect the job they did. The place was mostly clean, but it was nowhere near the brilliant job the previous team who'd cleaned my unit two years prior. But that wasn't the real problem. I have glass shower doors on the bathtub in my second bathroom, and when I took a good look at them, there was soap and hard water residue all along the bottom of both doors. It was apparent that the young woman who cleaned those doors, couldn't be bothered to bend down to clean the bottom of the glass. The rest of the surfaces in the bathroom looked as if the bare minimum effort had been given to cleaning them. I took note of that, and went into the second bedroom. And it didn't look like they'd done much at all. They'd vacuumed. I know that because I heard it running. But there was dust everywhere. Clearly (in their haste to leave?), they'd simply quickly wiped off the most visible surfaces, and made no effort to clean any further. I have a desk with computer equipment on it and a bookshelf/ display case (among other things) in that room, and the previous crew, had cleaned everything. It was spotless. The results this time couldn't compare. You wouldn't have believed that the same company did this job. I'm not exaggerating when I say that, on my worst day, I would have done a more thorough job. And seeing the results I got, for the money I paid, I probably should have. The charitable interpretation is that they were already running behind in their schedule because of their earlier delay, so I got the short shrift. The other interpretation is that they either didn't care to make a good effort, or just aren't good at their jobs. Suffice it to say, I will not be using "The Maids" again.

    I received several quotes for this "re-clean" of a Move Out cleaning by cleaners that my tenants…read morehired. Its so difficult to find reliable and thorough cleaners- but the cleaners that the tenants hired (found on Yelp) left the unit as of they didnt clean at all- see "Before photos". I'm so glad to have found Dan and his crew. They were prompt, great communicators, and they got our apartment actually clean, and was mindful of the time they took to get everything cleaned and done right. I apppreciate them so much. They service properties from Alewa to Hawaii Kai only. Wish I could have Dan & his crew for my other properties, but since I can't- I'd rather not keep them a secret and share them with everyone looking for a good cleaner!

    Yelp referred me to 4 companies so I decided on this company from their reviews and their website…read more From Yelp messages, my correspondence was with Cienna who gave me 2 quotes. 1st for cleaning rooms and vacuuming for $250. 2nd for cleaning rooms and windows and vacuuming for $275. She sent me an invoice via email to pay $100 deposit. On day of cleaning, Dennis texted me that his team of brother of sister were here. Male employee who was originally from Panama did a good job of cleaning 1 bathroom, cleaning windows and vacuuming for bedroom and living room. He called Dennis to let him know that 2nd bathroom with walk in shower was super dirty. Dennis texted me that I will be charged a little more for deep cleaning. Female employee did a great job on cleaning walk in shower Both of employees went over 2 hours by 30 minutes to finish. My amended invoice was $340.41 with tax.
