Let's start with: Beyond. worse. experience. ever. It started with a phone call from my beloved brother and sister in law saying there was something wrong with her wedding dress that she had just picked up from Lei and her custom team that she had previously bought at The White Dress. Keep in mind this dress was ABSOLUTELY beautiful on my sister in law, that is before Lei and her team worked with it. In a heart beat I drove to see my sister in law and helped her with her dress. As she put the dress on, ladies and gentlemen, it was thee worst and most disappointing fit a seamstress could ever do. The seams on the back were buckled, the sheer was cut incorrectly, the lace on her chest region was cut, and the dress was so heavy on her shoulders that you couldn't even see the straps. My poor sister in law was left in tears when it's supposed to be her dream dress. The dress was just the beginning my friends. The customer service was horrendous. I immediately called Lei that evening to speak with her and told her what happened. And this woman had the audacity to tell me it was like that before she touched the dress. Are you serious? I had pictures before she "fixed" the dress and she sent me pictures to my cell phone saying there was nothing wrong with it afterwards. She was arguing with me about her job and how there was nothing she could do to fix it and how there were NO openings for her before her wedding date which was a week away. Pushing forward, I immediately called the White Dress about this and they were incredible with accommodating and recommending us to a new seamstress that fit us in that next morning. Weddings are supposed to be amazing and Lei and her team almost ruined my sister in law's greatest day. Zero stars if I could, beyond disappointed. read more

I'm a guy at a wedding dress alteration place. I'm thinking about two things: is the dress gonna look good and am I gonna break the bank for this (am I right, fellas?). This place blew me away on my two simple concerns but also exhibited quality, customer convenience, and honesty. Custom Fit has all of that in bunches. The quality and expertise that Lei's shop has is staggering. They go to bridal expos, get some of the best material, and are encyclopedic with their knowledge of the industry. With all the bridezillas of the world running around, I was surprised at the customer service and the lengths they went to get our dream dress done just right. The expectations were very clearly communicated from start to finish. Fast forward to the wedding, my bride is breathtaking. It might have been a little hard to see the dress because I may have been theoretically crying because there were theoretical tears in my eyes, but I thought the dress looked perfect. Words cannot express how disappointed we were with Lei and her team. After working with her through the months before our wedding, I can't believe that The White Dress would ever recommend working with Custom Fit To You. The unprofessionalism and rude responses are just a start to the complaints that we have, let alone the absolutely horrendous job she did on the dress. Lets start from the beginning: The initial encounter seemed to be very pleasant, but as the visits progressed, her attitude significantly changed. There were several concerns about the dress fitting properly that I consistently brought up, and Lei would be very insistent, and very dismissive, stating that things were fine and not to worry about it - thus completely disregarding any of my concerns. This continued until four days before we had to leave for the wedding, and this is where things really took a turn for the worse. After picking up the dress in the morning, I noticed that the back was completely ruined, buttons were no longer matching up and crooked, and the lace was completely off-centered with one side being significantly lopsided. Being completely shocked at this, I called Lei immediately after seeing this and was promptly met with extremely rude remarks stating that this was not her fault and that the dress was like that beforehand (the dress was brand new and taken directly from The White Dress to Lei and her team). After going back and forth over the phone for what felt like forever, she essentially said that she has too many other clients and there was no way she can fit us in to get the mistakes fixed this week, but could get us in next week (after the wedding). Additionally, she was still adamant about us paying the full price. We immediately brought this to the attention of The White Dress, and they were very concerned about this. Within 20 minutes of speaking to them, Lei called us back with a very insincere apology saying she could probably fit us in. After the very poor attitude and disrespect from the first conversation, we were not interested and took our business elsewhere to another seamstress that The White Dress recommended who performed an excellent job on a short notice. If I could give Custom Fit to You ZERO stars, I would in a heartbeat. I would NEVER recommend them to anyone that is wanting quality work, accountability, and professionalism. read more

Lei is phenomenal. White dress had a delay in my Kitty Chen dress arrival date but Lei put my mind at ease and had the dress altered days before my wedding. And let me tell you, her skills are hands down amazing. The sizing of my dress when it arrived was off. It was 2 sizes larger, in my opinion. I was swimming in material. Lei made my dress fit like a glove and comfortable too. I danced and enjoyed our special day in a mermaid dress with a train. She added bustles and did the customized length to fit my 5'2" figure. Like someone else said I wish I would have read the reviews before I went to this place for my wedding dress, but I trusted the place where I bought my dress who recommend them. Big mistake. I really did try to give them the benefit of the doubt but because I understand that this business is they livelihood and I want to be kind to all people but I did not receive the same in return. So the story goes, I bought my dress used at brides for a cause and it was too big for me, which I would expect because I am only 5' and 105lbs. They gave me 24hrs to take the dress to a seamstress to make sure the alterations could be done to fit me in this dress and they gave me a list of names. So of course I contact the one closest to me first which was custom fit to you. I asked for an in person appointment to look at the dress and give me a quote. She told me to send her a picture of me in the dress which I did and she said no problem and quoted me max $300. I again said are you sure I shouldn't come in person to make sure? To which she replied " I am absolutely confident". So I took her word and paid for the dress. Fast forward to my appointments where she kept telling me that my dress will never fit the way I want it to and kept blaming everything wrong on the fabric and that it started crooked. I left every appointment feeling sick to my stomach because I wasn't sure it was going to turn out. To this day I have spent almost $500 on alterations on a dress that the hem is lopsided and the bust puckers. The first red flag to me should have been that the lady who meets with you and does all the pinning is NOT EVEN THE ONE WHO DOES THE SEWING! They were very rude and argumentative with me in the end and took no responsibility. This business is a mess and please no one waste their tears or their money on this place. I am calling brides for a cause first thing in the morning and requesting they be taken off their recommended list. read more

Should have listened to these reviews but since my bridal salon recommended this place, I decided to give them a shot. She was only willing to do very minor alterations that had nothing to do with the fit of the dress. She did not do any pinning or even show me what the bustle was going to look like. Everything was super rushed. Overall, everything she did was completed OK, but I ended up taking my dress somewhere else to get the fit and bustle done the way I wanted. Could have saved time and money by doing this from the start. read more

These people ruined my daughter's dress and then tried to blame her for their screw up. She tried to tell them what was wrong and they insisted it was correct. Her straps won't stay put and her arm holes are way too tight. Any person with eyes can tell what they did. They refused to give her anytime to take the dress home and get a second opinion. They only took 5 minutes at both fittings to find out what works for her body. I only hope we can find someone to fix their mistakes. Her wedding is only 9 days away. This is a terrible alterations business. Lei was rude, unprofessional and combative. I asked for very minor alterations to my dress. I was told nearly all of them couldn't be done - she wasn't even willing to explore alternative options. I would come in, and several of the alterations hadn't been done, and she'd forgotten about them and the email exchanges we had about them. There was a stain on my dress, which I spotted and asked about. She quickly blamed me, saying it couldn't have been her or her team. When asked for guidance on how to remove it, she told me to leave it for the wedding and get it cleaned later. I asked her to remove the breast cups she put in, which I felt were poorly done and deformed the dress. Not only did she not do that, but denied every hearing that request when I came to pick it up the week before my wedding. I reiterated this request in person during the prior appointment and via email to cover my bases. She texted me many times throughout the process trying to reschedule me last minute, telling me in person that she had a huge event coming up and she was busy - as if my appointment was not a priority. She quoted me based on my initial requests, but didn't fulfill many of those changes - still requesting full payment at the end. Her attitude throughout the entire process was horrendous and I would absolutely not recommend this business to anyone else. The White Dress should not be recommending her to their clients either. read more
