Weeks of no communication and me having to continuously call to try to get someone on the phone to give me info. I was told they are still trying to find the problem. after 3 months of very little and difficult to have communication, I was told that they couldn't figure it out and for me to come get it and just pay for the part. that was fine until I got there to get the truck. they had it sitting out back for so long that the battery (less than a year old) was dead and there were so many leaves on it I couldn't see the bed liner. The truck barely ran when i got which is 10x worse than when I gave it to them. Also, to top things off it appears that someone use the tailgate as a cutting board, because it has a ton of gouges in it. basically after 3 months of no communication I got my truck back with a dead battery, running way worse, gouges in my tailgate, and still had to pay them. if i had the choice of setting the truck on fire or let them work on it id choose the fire. the truck wouldn't be drivable either way but at least the fire would be faster

When the motor returned from the machine shop, that price went up to $8500 because he said he underestimated the cost of the machine shop work. The lack of communication was unreal. Then the week of installing the engine he gives me a bill for $11,984.01 because he said the quote did not include his labor. Additionally, the parts HE ordered (headers, radiator) did not fit. His solution to this problem was for me to reorder these parts at my own expense!! And he was very disrespectful about it as if I ordered I made the mistake! It took ALL of my military bearing to remain calm with this guy. He initially told me he had to order all of the parts for this project and now he wanted me to order parts for a misquoted job. I refused! I forfeited my engine and deposit and just took it as a horrible and costly experience. I wasn't giving him anymore money because if you're incompetent enough to order the wrong parts then who knows how the motor will run..especially for nearly $12k!!! I was fooled by the good reviews and did not read into the bad ones, which point out the same issues I experienced. There were several flags you should pick up on if you ever consider using this place...heck I should've picked up on these flags but he starts off very professional until he gets your money of course. 1st flag: the business does not take Visa, Mastercard, etc. or that's what I was told. I had to pay all in cash. 2nd flag: his quotes are very vague, sketchy, misleading and he won't give you much in writing. 3rd flag: he is a very rude guy who lacks customer service skills. He will turn belligerent as soon as you question him on something. 4th flag: He rarely has any customers at his shop. (This is when I realized I had been scammed) This is a shady establishment, please BEWARE!! Don't be like me, READ THE BAD REVIEWS and do your due diligence. I would not recommend this business to anyone! Very disappointed!

But I was also pretty impressed with how the engine never even shut off & continued to run the entire time, despite being slammed into a tree at an extremely high speed. Now, that being said...I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing! If that's a "good thing"/safe or an indicator of the vehicle's durability & safety, great! But I'm not a mechanic, so I can't make that determination (I'm absolutely NOT qualified to do so). But If that's dangerous & poses a safety risk, no one at the scene of the accident, including the police officers, seemed to be too concerned about it. There was no fire, fuel leakage concerns, or anything like that going on. But based on what I saw, & in my personal/UNQUALIFIED NON-PROFESSIONAL opinion, these vehicles seem to be pretty safe in the event of a collision and/or extreme circumstances/situations. Obviously, don't do stupid things like run from police/take them on a high-speed pursuit in an expensive & RENTED sports utility vehicle, and don't plow them into any stationary objects, especially trees, & ALWAYS WEAR YOUR SEATBELT! I'm not 100% sure if the driver in this case was in fact wearing his seatbelt, but I feel like I can make a pretty educated guess that the driver would not have been standing outside of/next to the vehicle when the police caught up & arrived on-scene to the collision. More importantly, the driver WALKED away with not even a scratch on him! He may have been in handcuffs & had some felony charges, but he lived & was able to walk away uninjured withal his life. I can only imagine what these business owners have to put up with, so they should be applauded for maintaining & taking such great care of these vehicles! This entire situation should have never happened, & I'm sure this caused a huge headache for them & a mountain of red tape, which absolutely isn't fair to them. Thank the Lord for insurance & moral & ethical business owners who follow the laws & do what they're supposed to do in these situations! I hope they got a shiny new Slingshot & business is going great! FREE PUBLICITY!

It's the oldest dump full of rusty ancient tools and machines. NOTHING state of the art. Only take your vehicle here if you want the old man inside to be rude to you or if you want your vehicle returned to you worst than before your accident. Their level of repairs are unsatisfactory to say the least. They kept my car longer than they said and when I went to pick it up it had blue paint on my black car and air pockets in the dried paint. Of course, I had to leave it ANOTHER day so they could as they stated, "make it right." They only made their messy repairs worse. If I could give this so-called auto body repair shop a negative rating, I would. By the way, when I showed the old man that sits at the desk inside, different spots left on my black vehicle, he spit on it to remove the spots. I was floored!!!!!!! My husband and I were soo rudely treated at this place, I'd never return or advise anyone else who cares for their vehicle to go here!!!!! Regretfully, after the messy job they did on 2 scratches on my rear trunk, I will need new parts and my entire car has to be repainted because of their poor performance. Mark's Tire Center - Addressing issue with business owner

    Mark's Tire Center

    (1 review)

**** UPDATED REVIEW (08/16/25) ****…read more Since I've been accused of being a liar (Google review) , here's my detailed experience: I visited this shop for a used tire the Saturday before last. When I returned to my vehicle after being told the work was finished, I walked behind it to get to the driver's side and found my spare--normally stored underneath the car--lying on the ground. No one said anything to me about it, including whether they had the skillset to put it back. Since the shop was closing, I had no choice but to load it into my trunk myself (they get 1 star for getting me in at the last minute). Earlier this week, I called and was told I could bring the car back so they could store it properly. After making the trip, the staff admitted they did not know how to reinstall it underneath the vehicle. This was never mentioned on the initial day of service or when I called before making the second trip. For a tire company--new or used--not having the skillset to put a spare back in its proper location is unacceptable. In all the years I've gone to reputable tire shops, I've never once had to leave with my spare unsecured or in the wrong place. The fact that this happened here, and that I'm still driving around with my spare taking up trunk space, speaks volumes about their level of professionalism. The owner is now claiming my review is "false," but the facts are straightforward: If the spare had never been removed, it wouldn't have been on the ground behind my car. If the staff knew how to reinstall it, they wouldn't have admitted otherwise. TO YOU "OWNER"... If your feelings are truly what you say they are regarding not storing spares in their rightful places (customers, take heed), I suggest you make that policy known via signage as well as verbally to customers. This is coming from a business owner myself. Because of this, I've wasted gas, time, and mileage--and instead of accountability, I've been accused of lying. That only makes an already disappointing experience worse.
