01/12/24 Had to bump down to 3 stars today. Arrived at 11am on Friday with a slow leak on the right rear tire that I had bought here. Mike checked me in and said they should be finished around noon. That gave me plenty of time to walk next door to firehouse subs and eat lunch. Checked back @ 11:40 and they said I had two in front of me. 12:10pm I checked with them again and was told I still had two in front of me. He said they had an appointment arrive at 11:45 and when I told him I arrived at 11:00 and that Mike had told me I should be done around noon he then informed me that Mike had "iterated" to me incorrectly. This location is terrible. I have replaced a tire and after the service my seats has grease on it. My interior is cream. I will never go back there again. I do not recommend anybody to go to this location and I'm going to call corporate. You supposed to have plastic seat covers and paper mats. After having a bad experience at a previous location, I decided to give this location a try and I'm glad I did! This location is so much better, the staff is way more knowledgeable and helpful. It's clean inside while waiting. They have much better time management I walked in and didn't wait long at all and was actually greeted upon entering. I had a tire rotation and he actually inspected my car/ tires. They even had the rims and tires in stock so I didn't have to come back. Update to review. Just checked tire pressure cold and they did not even check and set the tires at the right pressure. They were all over the place from 32 to 36. The 32 setting was not even on the right tires. No attention to detail. They set the tires while cold as the car sat there for so long waiting to be worked on and we checked them cold. So true comparison. Make sure you are checking your tire pressure yourself. read more

I just had to give a huge shout out to Mike at Discount Tire on Garners Ferry I have an F350 Super Duty Dually , my tire pressure monitor went off telling me a had a few low tires in the back and being as it's extremely difficult for me to fill the inside back tires myself I opted to have it done by a professional, not because it needs a pro but because I'm a pansy when it comes to mechanical things. Now I've used Discount Tire shops for years across America, because of their great service so I pulled up the closest location on my GPS and drove straight there. Mike must have seen me pull in because he met me at the door, then directed me where to pull up. It was very cold that morning and windy, he sad I could keep the truck running so I could keep warm. It was difficult for even him to fill my inside back tires but he was so gracious, kind and helpful. I could see he was cold in his thin Discount Tire jacket and his hands were very cold because he kept rubbing them together. I'm sure it's difficult to work on tires with gloves on. Upon finishing I ask how much I owed him and he said it was free. It's pretty hard to get anything for free these days and especially when you're sacrificing your comforts and safety. (He made sure I had the truck in park before climbing under it, lol ) Thank you Mike for your service and your willingness to serve even in the blistery cold of winter. You can experience Discount Tire in two ways: one virtual at DT Direct, and the other at one of their 1,0000+ stores. I purchased 4 new tires online at a great price. It was a promotional that offered a $70 rebate. I ordered them and they were delivered to my house. They were delivered within a few of days. When I called the local store to make an appointment for the mounting the guy asked me why I didn't just go to the store and buy them off the rack. Fair question. Truth is, I was in "online shopping mode" and didn't give it a thought. I had previously ordered tires online and had them delivered to the house prior to arranging with a local garage for mounting. I arrived at the local store for the mounting and within about 45 minutes they were mounted. Store experience was very good. However a few days later I noticed that one of the tires was mounted incorrectly, i.e., tires have an inside and outside; my left rear tire was mounted with the inside side on the outside. At the time I noticed this error I was close to another tire direct store. I called them and they said come on down. We were out of there within 15 minutes. They corrected the problem and apologized. Don't let the word "discount", throw you off. These folks do great work at the best prices available. Outstanding customer service and up front pricing. I drove in on a spare "donut" and drove off in a "optional size tire" 45 minutes later. After a day of driving on the new tires, I wasn't thrilled about the optional tire size drive feel. I called them up and they ordered the new size. Once the tires were in, they installed the new new tires (that actually cost more) with no additional charge and had me in and out in 45 minutes. We towed our truck here from a busted flat on the freeway and the staff asked the tow truck leave the truck in a parking spot on arrival. We were in need of a four new ones anyway and through best to just take care of it all at once. When it was time to service our truck they insisted on driving it across the parking lot on its BARE WHEEL RIM, even though we asked them repeatedly to service the busted flat first then drive it into the bay. After watching them painfully smash our rim with each wheel turn and scratch the fender with loose tire scraps they finally stopped outside the bay and switched the busted tire before driving it into the bay for the remainder of the service. We were told the only way to get our truck service without riding the rim was "to give it wings". Overall nice people here and the remainder the service was completed without issue. But the lack of effort and combative attitude towards putting in a few extra steps of works so that we didn't do further damage to our truck was pathetic. Wheels are much more expensive then tires, common sense is too apparently. read more

Went in because my car was steering to one side and driving rough. I was told it would be a $65 dollar diagnostic. I asked if it needed an alignment how much would that be? I was told $90. About 20 minutes later, my car was finished and it needed an alignment. I left and my car had the same problems. It was Friday night closing time. I called back Monday morning and spoke to the manager. He informed me that I would have to pay the $65 for the diagnostic. I went to another shop. They never said anything about a diagnostic fee. I wasn't pleased with the service. The wheel alignment issue (I was getting a lot of vibration to the steering wheel) which they said they fixed, they didn't. When I went to pick up my car I specifically asked one of the reps in the front if they inflated the tires properly to recommended levels. He told me it was taken care of, as a matter of routine service. It wasn't. This is basic, it's your job. Do it properly or don't show up to work. Don't lie. I am still fuming about paying, and not getting the issue resolved. Very disappointing. It seems to me that there are no standards, that is, every store is run differently.
