If you do not read this entire review, here is everything in a nutshell: We could not be happier with Javier, Maxine, and the crew over at Custom Tile Stone & Décor. Do not hesitate to call Javier about your next project, whether it be kitchen, bath, flooring, or any home improvement project, you will not be disappointed with the results. We came to CTS&D to inquire about laminate flooring in 4 rooms, stairs, and a new kitchen backsplash. Javier came to my house, took the necessary measurements, showed us many different samples, and gave us a quote. This piece is important, because even after all was said and done, he did not deviate from the original quote. His crew not only finished the jobs in the timeframe that they had promised, but cleaned up spotlessly after each days work. It was raining very hard throughout the construction period, but the crew were very cautious to leave the house clean. In the middle of the project, we had a leak from the master bathroom down to the kitchen due to some faulty work from a previous contractor. Our kitchen cabinets needed to be removed in order to stop the leak. Without skipping a beat, Javier and his crew tackled that problem as well, took out the cabinets, patched up the hole in the wall and re-caulked everything to perfection. Because of their expert knowledge of all things home improvement, they saved us a bunch of headache for an issue that arose unexpectedly at no fault of their own. The laminate floors in 4 rooms, and the stairs came out BEAUTIFULLY. The laminate on the stairs came out a masterpiece, as it required very technical measuring to achieve the look we wanted. They even touched up some paint and patched up some places that were there before! Our kitchen backsplash turned out better than we could have imagined. CTS&D took the extra step, and put Calcutta Marble trimmings on the edges that really gave it that extra something special. We were so pleased with their work, price, timeframe, professionalism, and expert knowledge, that we contracted them for our master shower remodel. It came out beyond our wildest expectations. They were very patient with us as we looked over dozens of samples, and not once did they cut corners. Javier and his crew educated us throughout the whole process, and only used the best materials. They "hot-mopped" our shower, where others would have not, to create a complete water seal. They even extended out the shower to give us a whole extra foot of length. Javier even accompanied us to choose our custom fixtures, all while staying in budget. Throughout the shower install, they pointed out things that may have been a safety hazard left from the previous contractor, and went out of their way to make sure we were satisfied at every step. Joey, Javier's son, measured everything down to the millimeter, and created uniformity and precision in every detail of his work. Javier, Maxine, Joey, Dennis, Bob, Henry, Saul, and the entire crew at CTS&D have earned our business for life. My wife and I are a young couple who wanted professional work done without breaking the bank, and they delivered. Javier has earned his title of "House Doctor." He even was kind enough to repair little leaks, patches, and even helped haul away some of our old items in storage. What started as a need to redo our guess bathroom turned into a full house remodel. The cost was competitive compared to all other quotes but what really sold me was the amount of time I was told it would take. I could now believe they finished my whole project in 6 weeks. Joey, Steve and crew were at my house every day including some Saturdays. The coordination that Javier and Maxine work in to make deliveries or equipment and help with picking up some of the orders was great. I had heard so many horror stories from friends and family on how long projects take. Neither I nor my friends and family could believe the final work and time it took. Thank you so much for telling me exactly when things would happen and I will say it was coordinated to go along with the right appliances and tubs so that we had everything ready and purchased to install by the time project started. We made sure to purchase things that were going to be available soon as there were so many delays with faucets, toilets, mirrors and other things. Making sure we had those purchased helped to ensure the project was also finished in time. We recommend then to all friends and family. Javier, Maxine, Joey, Steve and their subs are a true pleasure to work with. They offer a wide selection of material types and designs. Joey and Javier have a deep knowledge of all types of remodeling jobs and their work is impeccable. They raised our 80's sunken living room and we no longer worry about tripping or injuring a visitor. They work quickly and do a great job of cleaning up after the work is done. These guys are at the top of their game and we have recommended them to several of our neighbors who are equally pleased with their work. You will not go wrong in working with these folks on your remodel. They are a class act. If you're looking for stone and tile work, DO NOT use Custom Tile Stone & Decor. While I was driving today, one of their employees almost caused an accident. (See accompanying photos). When I pulled over, he took off, but not before shouting obscenities at me. I called the Custom Tile Stone & Decor store/business office to report the incident and spoke to "Macy" (if that was her real name). "Macy" was just as bad as their employee who almost caused the traffic collision. Macy indicated that neither she, nor the company would take any responsibility. I realize there are a lot worse "crimes" out there. However, there's also a lot more tile and stone retail locations. Please vote with your wallet and DO NOT PATRONIZE THIS IRRESPONSIBLE COMPANY. Instead, please patronize their competition. There are many other reputable companies to choose from. Again, I repeat, DO NOT buy from this irresponsible company. P.S. Just refer to the stars or lack there of... I was harassed by the owner to take my original review down... So that pretty much says it all... The owner & his wife are two of the most unprofessional people I've ever had to deal with. I would never recommend them or ever use them again! 8 months later & we're still dealing w cracks in the gout / tile. I will say his employees are very nice & accommodating however they're weren't sure on what projects to start and when because Javier the owner didn't communicate or advise them on what to do!!! We were quoted two weeks but the job took almost a month! Javier added on projects so our bill was way over the original quoted price. He installed the wrong sink in our bathroom & then tried to talk us in to keeping it! Months later & we are still upset. I wish I had done further research however I hope my review helps others. read more

Javier and his crew at Custom Tile, Stone and Decor finished up our kitchen in the first week of December 2016, a complete remodel caused by a leaking dishwasher that created a mold problem. The results are so nice that i cannot believe it is the kitchen in our house. Javier helped all along the way with ideas for layout and design and small problems as they came up during construction. His price was fair and what i appreciated was that he did not nickel-dime me and did quite a few little things that were not in our original contract. Javier was able to manage all aspects of the remodel from demolition to floors, cabinets, counter tops, drywall, plumbing, electrical and even helping the appliance installers to get a good fit on built ins. The guys working for Custom Tile and Stone were all professional and talented; their work was complete and of the highest quality. I would be glad to send pictures if anyone would want to contact me via Custom Tile, Stone and Decor. Before writing this i read some of the other Yelp reviews and found them unbelievable. I am so grateful to have stumbled across this tile store! During our bathroom remodeling process, my husband and I were in need of literally ONE tile that matched the rest of the floor tile that we did not change. We searched frantically at Home Depot and Lowes for this last minute necessity and not only could we not find something that matched, but also didn't want to waste money on a whole box of tile that we wouldn't need. Maxine and another pleasant gentleman ( I am assuming he was also the owner whom I regretfully didn't get his name) allowed us to look in their "boneyard" for something that would match. Miraculously, we found a matching tile and they let us take a couple for FREE!!! Anyone as generous and kind as these two deserve nothing but success in their business. I would never refere any one to them. They never show up on time. They put scratches in my new appliance. Did some grouting and left large drips of it on the floor behind the ref. Never returns your calls. My Granite has a lot of flaws and the even put the electrical outlet on upside down. They are not happy with me becuse I called them on a lot of things that were not done right. I could go on and on but I hope you get what I am saying. Since Custom Tile Stone & Decor did such a great job with the installation of my tile, carpet, & laminate (basically all of the flooring in my home.) I will be going back to them soon when I have my kitchen remodeled. I have seen pictures of the work they have done, and let me tell you it's AMAZING! I am very disappointed in this business , Javier ( the owner) came to my house for an estimate to remodel my kitchen and master bathroom, he seemed like a nice guy talked about how he was a Christian and went to Church. So he seemed trustworthy. Boy was I wrong!! I asked prior to giving him the contract about me wanting everything permitted he said they would, well halfway through the Demo they discovered that my house needed to be re-plumbed, he gave me his estimate and was pretty pushy on giving him that contract as well , but I opted to get a second opinion and went with a company that did it cheaper with permits.. When the city came to post permit for plumbing Javier's crew scattered like roaches , they didn't want to work into plumbing permit was signed off which delayed my project. I became suspicious and asked why they weren't working in my kitchen and told Javier if you guys pulled permits you have nothing to fear. He blamed me for the delay.. After arguing on the phone and getting close to firing him. I decided to give him another chance , he pulled permits, for kitchen and bathroom. Toward the end of project he wanted to delay another week, saying they couldn't finish on time ( again blaming me for the permit issue). So I have him a deadline that I had to have him and his crew out of my house.. The last day they didn't finish project.. But yet he wanted payment.. I had to hire someone else to finish his project.. Had to itemize on what materials I bought . And deduct it from final payment.. Oh did I mention my shower didn't pass inspection! Due to the way glass was mounted , it's been over a month since I notified him and he hasn't responded.. I guess when there is no cash involved for him it's not important ( very Christian like!!) My advice to people looking into hiring this company for project is make sure you read and clarify on contract... This guy is going to want weekly pulls of cash to pay his crew... Nowhere does it say that on his contract . Get permits!!! Make sure you see them prior to him starting work.. Don't fall for the nice guy act.. This guy is a crook!!! Make your own contract and have him sign also if project goes past the deadline.. Otherwise you'll be in for a long ride... I would rate them lower but unfortunately you have to give them one star! read more

I will not refer anyone to Custom Tile again. Very disappointed in Javier's poor customer service and sales tactics. If you call him back to your home to fix a problem on a prior job to discuss how it can be fixed he will charge you for his travel time which is a very high price. He came to our home to look at an outlet box that broke after a tile backsplash was installed. We felt that it could have broken because the tile was not cut big enough around the hole so when we pulled the plug from the outlet, the plastic outlet box broke into pieces. Javier came in and was looking at the problem and put in 2 drywall screws and it was fixed. He then charged us a high amount for doing this. He just fixed it and didn't tell us he was going to charge us. He could have advised us what to do and we could have put the screws in ourselves. You would think that after all the work he has done for us in 6 years and the referrals we have given him that he would have just fixed the outlet with no charge. On this last job one of our doors got a large knick in it when it was moved. I noticed it and called Javier to ask him to come and fix the door. He insinuated that it was there before he started the job. I told him it wasn't and I am not the type of person to say his guys did it just to get my door fixed. That pissed me off as he was questioning my honesty and integrity. Also on this last job that Javier did for us he tiled our downstairs bathroom and since the completion of the job we've noticed that the toilet was put in crooked and he charged us $60 to pull it out and put it back in so now my husband has to pull it out and fix it. We don't even want to call him to fix the toilet as it's not worth it to us to have to talk to him and debate him on yet another issue. He has a tendency to debate you on all issues. I will say that his employees are very nice but Javier has a tendency to rush them to complete the job when it takes longer than planned. read more

I love my remodeled kitchen, fireplace and vanity! I had at least 5 quotes for my kitchen. They are not the cheapest but I like what they presented. The owner (Harvier) at first took us to the slab yard to choose the granite that we liked. None of the other places would do that. The other places just gave us the address and told us to go look by ourselves. I appreciated Harvier spent time with us and share his opinion which one is a good and which one will work for our kitchen, without any signed contract at that point. I felt he is a honest guy and his suggestions made good sense. Therefore, we went with them. They did a fabulous job overall, even though there was a incident happened but they took care of it as promised. Harvier is a honest and responsible guy! When you remodel your home, you need someone who you can trust and rely on. Harvier and Henry are great guys and you won't be disappointed. I'm very happy with this purchase! read more
