I called to make grooming appts for 2 of my 3 dogs. The person I spoke to said they wouldn't groom them bc they were 9 & 12 years & basically they were too old, that they didn't know their personality & are not familiar with them. Wut?! These dogs have been groomed since they were pups & are acclimated & used to grooming. Talk about limiting your business. I also have a 2 year old Aussiedoodle that I didn't inquire about bc of the bad taste left in my mouth. My Chi-weenie, Marley, isn't the most outgoing pup when it comes to meeting someone new. He gave me that side-eyed glare as I said that I would be back in a little while... when I returned to pick him up, he was calm, cool and clean! The gentlemen at Pooch & Purr did a top notch job! I tipped $5 when I left, but as soon as I got in the car and saw what a marvelous job had been done - Marley's ears were perfectly pink and spotless, his nails trimmed so neatly! If I could give a 0/10 I would. Always went to this place for years with my chihuahua. I always call in for walk in and let them know I will be arriving and they always say okay. Today I called and dropped off my dog. They refused her service because her name was appearantly not on the system. My first experience bringing my cat to the groomer was horrible and I will have a even harder time trusting another groomer again. I went to go pick up my cat and I noticed a cut near his right eye. The worker claimed that my cat sustained this cut by rubbing his face against the crate.... Well to begin with, that's a hazardous crate to even keep anyones pet in. That made no sense to me. Regardless, my cat was under their supervision which they did not take any type of responsibility. I did not get an apology nor any type of refund. In addition, my cat was still wet as you can see in this picture. His nails were poorly trimmed and I believe they never brushed him because he was still shedding a lot of hair when I tried brushing him at home. Prior to dropping my cat off I expressed to one of the workers, I think his name was Kyle, that I was a little nervous because it was my first time bringing my cat to a groomer. He then shared a story of a past owner who apparently broke out in tears before dropping off her pet and he emphasized how uncomfortable that made HIM feel. He clearly disregards how it feels to be a pet owner and could care less. I should've took that as a warning but too late. Anyways, never again. read more

Disappointing Customer Service Been coming here for years, the work is great and price is fair but be aware of the many inconveniences. I called to schedule an appointment yesterday and they set me up with an appointment in may, today I get a call saying I actually had an appointment this morning and this is my 3rd one so they will no longer be able to service me anymore, okay fair I understand. The only problem is the last time I called to ask about when my appointment date was they told me they don't have a computer system to check so they would have to check the book and call me back and let me know, I NEVER GOT A CALL BACK. They also never warn you that they have a 3 missed appointment policy, this would have been good to know. Also I don't understand how they couldn't have just told me "oh you actually already HAVE an appointment set for TOMORROW" when I called yesterday but oh well there's many great groomers in the area who will give you a courtesy reminder call/text. Oh and make sure you bring cash because they don't let you know they only take cash and will give you attitude for not magically knowing this information as well. My last issue is that they take ALL DAY to do a groom, like seriously I've dropped them off first thing in the morning and have picked them up an hour after closing, and they'll never give you an estimate of how long they're going to take, so make sure you're at home all day by the phone because you'll also get in trouble for not being there as soon as they finish so might as well just stay in the parking lot all day so they don't get upset. We have been bringing our dogs to Pooch and Purr for several years now (I think it's been 5 or more years now). They clean our dogs really well and they seem to like the place. However, the treatment we received yesterday was unacceptable. They called me at 2:21 PM and said the dogs were ready and they would be shutting down and closing at 3PM. I hadn't made it there by 3PM so they called me back and threatened to board my dogs until Tuesday and charge me fees for the boarding (it was Saturday) if I didn't make it there in the next ten minutes. I was on my way there but I told them it would take me 15 minutes to get there. I arrived at 3:15PM. I was then informed I would have to pay a $30 charge, which he went on to tell me it was usually $30 per dog. They ONLY take cash. No ApplePay, nothing. CASH only, which has never been a problem but when I showed up I had the amount I anticipated paying. I was then told to go to the ATM next door to get the rest of the money. The reason this entire experience is disappointing is the way I was treated. I feel I was treated as if I am not a regular customer who has been coming to this grooming salon for years. This was my first time ever hearing about a 15 minute $30 late charge. I reminded them that the time on Google said they closed at 6PM, which is what I was used to over the years. The owner responded and said he had nothing to do with the closing time Google has on its website and that Google also states that they are a mobile grooming service but they are not. I went on to ask, "are you not the owner?" He said, "yeah, but we aren't responsible for what's on Google. See, we don't even have closing times on our doors." (Basically, we close when we want to.) The encounter was void of any personal connection as if they had no idea that I was their regular customer. We frequent small businesses to receive a more personal experience, to have a personal relationship with the owners with whom we choose to spend our money. We can go to PetCo or PetSmart to get the revolving door customer service experience. Kyle & Co., just some tips to improve your customer service experience: update your policies and provide copies to all your clients (e.g., additional charges, updated prices, boarding, etc.). Indicate on the policy that you have revolving business hours which are subject to change and the hours posted on Google are not reflective of your store hours. But just to be clear, YOU are the owners of your business and can update information on Google as needed. It is ridiculous to tell your long-time customers something like that. I'm so sad they decided to treat us this way because we've never had any issues before, but this kind of customer service experience cannot be tolerated. But, Be Blessed Pooch & Purr. read more

We have been coming here for over 3 years now and I still feel the same: I love Pooch & Purr!! They are always so welcoming and kind, and they even know our dogs by name already. They know what we want and never have to ask, and I'm always confident they'll come out looking great when we pick them up. We put our full trust in them and they repay us with great service and great haircuts for the pups! One time they were delayed in finishing up the haircuts even though they already gave us the 15-minute call (they'll call you about 15 minutes before they're done so you can start heading over), and they didn't charge us for the haircut. We barely even waited that much longer but it just goes to show how much they care about their customers and providing great customer service.
