Very cute store! Lots of fun items to browse through. Good customer service. I always find something to buy!

While the concept is similar to that of a dollar store, there are two major differences: the items are $1.75 unless marked otherwise, and all of the goods are Japanese - including the snacks. What a fun place to shop for home, kitchen, office, and personal grooming accessories. Good quality Japanese stuff, very cutesy but also nicely functional and decorative. And of course at a $1.75 per item, you can buy lots of stuff and not spend very much.

11/21/2023 - They have just moved from Cave Creek to central Phoenix right by where I live. I'll shop here more often now that it's way closer!

Cutie= Daiso Lite! This small unassuming building is basically like a mini Daiso. I'm not sure how it works that a seemingly non-affiliated Daiso store can carry Daiso brand products but it's great that you can buy all the same stuff you can find at a Daiso. I actually did see some of the same products sold here that I had seen at Daisos in California a few months ago when I visited LA and San Diego so the stock seems pretty up to date. Everything is $1.50 unless noted. You'll browse through here and find things you didn't know you needed, but have to have now since the prices are so cheap. The store is small but they pack as many items in here as they can and aisles are a little narrow too. Some examples of items they sell here include batteries, containers, purse hooks, sticky notes, laundry bags, spatulas, Pocky and ramen. There's a little bit of everything in this store. One other plus of shopping here during their grand opening period is that they give you a free tote bag for a $10+ purchase which we easily achieved while shopping here. Service was quick and friendly. Too bad they don't have a similar store closer to where I live, I'd shop there all the time!

I loved Daiso when I lived in CA, so finding this tiny (and I do mean tiny!) Japanese dollar-type store was a delight.

I had a very teeny tiny issue with a $12 product - probably the least expensive item in this Upscale (trying to be Upscale) store. For some reason the cashier called the owner at her home to discuss what to do. WHAT TO DO !!! ???? She was impatient and offered no help - wanted my cc # or whatever for a very unique product . I left with no credit, no refund, ZIP ZILCH. How about "no worries lets get you something else" THE RESPONSE elicits how a customer feels, responds, and maybe reviews on platforms that have a big influence on diners, shoppers etc. The owner called me out on my review saying I was threatening yelling, and scaring the employees. I am 70 and injured with a smashed shoulder, four broken ribs and a brain bleed. The last time I yelled at any employee was probably 1980. And I am harmless - never did that. The owner is a FIRE STARTER and would do better with people if she was an Amazon Warehouse worker and not a front facing small business owner. This is a bad ending and the fire will burn because she is a fire starter. BAD ENDING FOR HER and the fire is going to burn.

My sister and I had just visited their Tempe location and were delighted in how similar but different this Changing Hands was from Tempe's shop. Namely, this Changing Hands has a little area for coffee, booze, and bites. Just like the Tempe shop, they have an amazing selection of books and gift items and so much more. I find their prices to be so fair, especially for a fairly small indie bookshop--support small book sellers! Like its Tempe counterpart, this store has a fantastic selection and a warm, welcoming atmosphere that makes it easy to spend far more time browsing than planned. Beyond the books, there's an eclectic mix of gifts and unique items that make browsing even more enjoyable. The coffee/bar is also a nice touch and adds to the overall experience.
