Really cute place with great fresh pizza! Their cesar salad was huge enough to share between 4 people, and had a great flavor. I was personally not a huge fan of the strawberry shortcake monthly dessert, but would definitely try something else next time. Really friendly staff and they donate money for each pizza sold to the dog rescue! Will definitely be returning!

Pizza was so good!! The restaurant was pretty empty on a Monday around dinner time so we were seated super quickly and our food came out within 10 minutes. We wanted to try the happy hour but they did shift the times slightly so if ended at 5 PM instead of 6 PM. We ordered the Margherita and the chorizo pizzas (25% of proceeds go to a dog rescue center!!) and both were amazing. The crust was thin, chewy, fluffy, crispy, and flavorful. No notes for the crust. I did think it was slightly greasy but not enough to make me feel gross after eating. They have a small parking lot and some street parking so it wasn't too hard to find a spot. We also loved how you can see your pizza getting fired in the oven right in front of you! Ratings Margherita: 4.5/5 Chorizo: 4.5/5

Omg brah. Imma be thinkin about this pizza when I'm back in Portland (where it's not 5000 degrees). Saw these guys on soc media and was kinda surprised how nice the decor was. Nice but casual enough that I felt comfortable. Pizza was F'n FIRE. Service was friendly and they refilled my Diet Coke without me even asking. Wanna go back for a sando but I'm out of time. See ya next time I'm in the valley. A+++++

Wow, that's all...WOW!! I've passed this place sooooo many times and have never stopped, and now...I have been missing greatness! Sat at the bar, watched the Pizza Chefs toss dough and churn out Pizza after Pizza flawlessly. We purchased two, and the flavors are AMAZING. Great ambiance, they were hosting Trivia the night we were in!!! The service was quick, recommendations were fantastic, and the food was amazing. Moses & Marcelo the Pizza Chefs turned out a meaty pizza in seconds and the flavors were layered beautifully!! The oven is wood fired, and the edges are perfectly crisp. Ask for Jacob, he was an excellent server!!! Grade A+++++

I love wood fired pizza with a little bit of char, but this one was just too burnt for me. I was really excited to try their happy hour because getting a pizza for $10 and a draft beer for $5 is an awesome deal. Half the edges and bottom of the crust were way too burnt. As far as the ambiance sitting at the bar is a great experience. The draft beer was ice cold and the staff was attentive which is exactly what you want for a nice happy hour.

A delicious pizza place that makes a positive impact on the lives of rescue dogs awaiting their forever homes. 25% of all proceeds from pizza sales goes directly to this local dog rescue, knowing that your meals make a difference. It's a no-brainer. Great happy hour. Filled inside and outside their great patio. 6 pm- 8 pm they showcase rescue puppies. Their pasta that I ordered was delicious and massive. My only gripe is that bread doesn't come with it so you have to pay for a side of focaccia bread. Again, it goes to puppies so I just bit the bullet. Service is great!

Honestly love the mission behind this place to provide dogs an opportunity to get adopted. Plus, I missed the opportunity to go here during happy hour to get a better deal. I ordered some food to hold me over while I waited for my to-go order. The garlic bread with parmesan was generous and tasty, but honestly, paying four dollars for sprinkled garlic and cheese is overkill. The Margherita Pizza and the Funghi Formaggi Pizza were mid. There were hardly any mushrooms on the Funghi Pizza, and the Margherita Pizza was just blah. The Penne Alla Vodka pasta helped, but overall, the price of these pizzas did not match the quality or flavor we were expecting.

Wow! Loved the vibe, the calm ambiance, the pizza and of course the cause! Our waitress was amazing, the spicy diavola and the Margherita were great. Arugula and potato salad meh..but the Paw-zookie :) Add to your next stop!

We definitely had a mixed experience at our dinner. We had set a reservation before coming and were sat right away. However it seemed they never told anyone we were sat so we waited over 30 minutes for someone to greet us. Once a waitress did come over for our order, we very rarely saw her throughout the meal. The food was good. Wood fired pizza is the best kind and they do a good job. We came at 6pm on purpose to see puppies and were bummed that there is only one dog at a time because so many people wanted to hold the one baby that we never got a chance. They were very kind to give us a cheesecake for how long we waited. We were all a bit thrown off that they put olive oil all over the cheesecake. We weren't fans but may be a vibe for someone else.

Went here for Valentine's Day, showed up 7:30ish with no reservation. We sat at the bar and ordered a drink and about 20 minutes later got a seat! It was starting to die down a little by then. We tried the prefixe menu, one appetizer the meatballs, two entrees the chorizo pizza and wild mushroom risotto, and one dessert the basque cheesecake for $60 per couple, pretty nice! The app was for my boyfriend since I don't eat red meat or gluten. He enjoyed it! Pretty large portion. I loved my mushroom risotto, so creamy and rich and cheesy but not heavy. The olive oil on and around it added deep complexity and buttery-ness that was addicting. The mushrooms looked different than in other Yelp pictures and I would've liked the other mushrooms better I think. These were more meaty and thick and the texture can be off for me, but that's a personal preference. I cut up the mushrooms and it added nice umami flavor. Some added protein would've been good, it was already $24. I didn't finish it though, saved room for dessert. Overall a top risotto I've ever had. My boyfriend's pizza was way too spicy for him lol. He said his lips were burning, he can't do spice and didn't realize it would be that spicy. He ate 1.5 slices then asked if he could get the margherita instead and they made him a new pizza it was very nice! He simply couldn't eat it so we really appreciated it. He liked the new pizza and we love how it's made in a wood fired oven! I'll come back to try the gluten free pizza since it's a homemade crust and they have a separate oven for it! The cheesecake had a fruity orange taste to it? Maybe it was the mesquite honey. Wasn't expecting that! The olive oil contrasted nicely with the honey and cheesecake though, and I love the gluten free option. I love cheesecake and enjoyed it! My boyfriend likes just cheesecake no extra flavors but happily still ate half. Great service, super nice! Food comes out fast. Elevated atmosphere with the pizza oven in the front! Cute place

Was seeing this place all over my Instagram and had to come out and try it for myself. What could be better than pizza and puppies?!? We ordered the Margherita Pizza w/extra sauce, this was truly our favorite, the pizza was delicious and a great size. We also ordered the spicy rigatoni the presentation was beautiful however I do feel this lacked some flavor. To finish we ordered their version of the pizookie, we both feel that it wasn't the best, it wasn't the ooey gooey cookie we were hoping for but not bad either. Service was great it was busy but our server did a great job handling both tables inside and on the patio. And their mission is so wonderful, we loved getting to seeing the cutest adoptable puppies and we even stopped at their rescue after also. Will definitely be back to enjoy some more pizza and get all the puppy snuggles.

Holy moly this place was incredible!!!! The fact that they support Beautiful Pets makes me love it even more, and I already can't wait to come back! We went to celebrate my sisters birthday and I'm so happy we did. We started with bruschetta, which was great! My sister had the mushroom pizza that she loved and my husband and I shared the chicken Parmesan which was OUT OF THIS WORLD amazing!!! I will dream about this I'm not kidding. Plus to top it off I got the pupstar martini which is now my favorite drink! Service was also 10/10!!!! Thank you!!

First time at Pizza to the Rescue! It was amazing!! We were there for a small, intimate birthday party. They had reserved the wine room which is perfect for a party of 10. Our waiter Matt was fantastic! Very professional and attentive to all of us! Trust me, he had his hands full with this group! Had their artichoke dip (so yummy and creamy!) to snack on with drinks..kudos to the bartender! I had the Fungi Formaggi pizza...WOW!! I feel as though I could have eaten the entire thing, it was delicious!! My husband had the House Calzone, which was huge! He thought it was really tasty, would definitely order it again. We shared a few of their desserts as well, the tiramisu, cheese cake and the incredible Paw-zookie!!! If you're into a hot, gooey cookie with a big scoop of ice cream, don't pass this was up!! All their ingredients are fresh and homemade, you can tell by the taste! Best thing about this restaurant is 25% of each pizza you purchase, is donated to Almost Home Rescue which is the building right behind the restaurant! You're saving fur babies by eating pizza! What a beautiful concept! They have a dog friendly patio as well! If you check out the restaurant website, you can click on a link to see pups that are looking for a loving home! I give Pizza to the Rescue 5 Stars

And just because someone's Italian or, Italian-American, from a big city or a certain part of the country doesn't mean they do either. (Lol) Pizzeria Bianco is one of my favorite joints in Phoenix. Chris Bianco has become a national celebrity, a point of pride for Phoenicians, yet somehow remains as humble as his restaurants. The Town & Country location leans hard into that urban-chic vibe. The bar, with its old relics and faded photos, reminds me of a North Jersey front porch in the middle of summer. On this day, I went with my usual: the Wiseguy pizza - smoked mozzarella, spicy sausage, and sweet onions. Some homemade bread and a plate of olives got things started. I washed it all down with a Chianti. Dessert? Uh...yeah. Bianco's tres leches cake is fresh, ridiculously good, and the best I've had. The menu is limited, but focused. Every time I stop in, I tell myself I'm finally going to order something different. Every time, I fold. Great food. Cool vibe. Wonderfully attentive, consistent staff. State buono, Bianco & Team!

My husband and I had been once before for our anniversary and the food was incredible. Tonight really showed how much heart and love goes into this restaurant when a little boy peaked out from behind the wall & asked if my kids wanted to play with him as we waited to be seated. After making sure it was okay with who I'm assuming is the owner & family of the little boy, my kids went to the table he was at to color and play with him. Everyone was so kind and gracious with my kids, and the little boy Sebastian was the highlight of our night. He was such a sweet kid & the best little host. My kids had a great time with him as we waited for our food. I got the carbonara, my dad got the chicken pesto & my husband got a 3 meat penne. The kids got chicken tender and fries. Each dish was delicious and tasted authentic. The bruschetta dip was amazing. My husband doesn't normally like bruschetta, but how the flavors were balanced had him eating most of it. The bread was perfect, crisp outside with a softer inside. My carbonara was creamy and flavorful. Most carbonara upsets my stomach because of dairy (but I still order it anyway because it's my favorite), but how they made it here left me feeling satisfied without an upset stomach which is a huge win in my book! It warmed my heart to feel like my kids were welcomed in a restaurant with open arms when many restaurants view kids in general as a burden. We will definitely be back! Personally, we've never been to a restaurant that provided this quality of service and hospitality in addition to the best Italian food we've had at a more than reasonable cost! 10/10 recommend this to anyone!

They compliment the culture extremely well, and help set the atmosphere. When we went for lunch on a Sunday, it was pretty empty (only 1 other table). I would recommend not worrying about the low attendance. I think this has to do more with the fact that Downtown Avondale tends to be pretty empty. I think that they would do really well and be a lot busier if they were in a different location. The service was amazing, our server was attentive and gave out really good recommendations. While all the food was delicious...the free bread was my favorite. It was perfectly toasted and seasoned and included a brushetta topping on the side. I could have just ate that and would have been extremely happy. We ordered an appetizer of Calamari, it was a good portion size for the cost. The Calamari was well seasoned and crispy. I ordered the Portobello Mushroom Ravioli. It was flavorful with large pieces of mushroom mixed with the sauce. Even though it was a white cream sauce, the dish was suprisingly light, I would recommend trying it. The other two people I was with both ordered the Frutti de Mare. There was a good mixe and amount of seafood in the dish and the pasta was cooked perfectly. While the marinara sauce was good, I don't think it was something that was out of this world. I just think it needed a little more seasoning or some kind of kick to round it out. Overall, great restaurant and would recommend.
