It's never a letdown always consistent with how they make and prepare their food and drinks. No seed oils are used, and they use beef tallow in their fryer. My favorite things to get are the breakfast sandwich that come with side of tater tots they use the best bread in town, Chacónne. In my opinion, they're the kings of the patisserie industry. I also get their protein shake, which has clean cocoa powder, protein, almonds, bananas, dates, almond milk, and cold brew. Then I'm sipping on fresh-squeezed orange juice. I'm honestly here a lot, and I haven't tried anything else yet, like their viral French toast, but I believe you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. There's plenty of seating and I appreciated having a staff member dedicated to managing seating, even though it's a counter service setup. I kept seeing the Cube French Toast all over my Instagram, so I figured it was a sign I had to go try it. We went on a Monday. Parking was a pain since the lot is small and there aren't many spots, but we eventually found one. The place is open and bright, with both indoor and outdoor seating. You order at the register, grab a number, and they bring the food to your table. The staff was pretty quick about clearing tables, so it wasn't too hard to find a spot while we waited. We ordered a cold brew, a decaf Americano, the Cube French Toast, an egg sandwich, and a breakfast burrito. Both the sandwich and burrito came with tater tots. Swung by on a Wednesday morning around 11am and it was consistently busy! Good sign obviously. Cute place with retro-ish vibe. Limited seating inside, but plenty of additional seating outside if you're willing to fight the AZ heat. They do have evap coolers running to help though. This place has gone viral but for good reason. My friend and I came here early to beat the line, around 9:00 on a Sunday. Only a few people in line, so less than 10 minutes waiting. We ordered a couple coffees, then split the egg sandwich and french toast. Looking around, a lot of people had the same idea haha. The milk bread used is light, airy, and has a nice crisp on the outside. The sandwich itself was so good but messy to split. A good messy though. French toast was the star. I don't think I could come back and not order it. I'm not even a fan of french toast typically so that in itself says enough. I don't even know where to start!! Service: amazing. Decor: beautiful. Food: bussilicious. We came at peak brunch time around 10:15 on a Saturday and there was a sizable line but it moved quickly and we ordered within 15 minutes. The food came out so quickly (like literally within 10 minutes of ordering) and there was a person directing us to a table after we ordered so weren't awkwardly waiting for people to leave. Now onto the food. Everyone raves about the french toast and I can see why. We expected it to be good but it was so moist, fluffy, and buttery that we ate the whole thing up. There was a slight saltiness and crisp got hr edges that just made it perfect. It is definitely super sweet and a treat though so it can be shared. The egg sandwich was also good but not much different from breakfast sandwiches we could get anywhere else. We just really liked the milk bread they used. The tater tots were awesome though. Perfectly crispy and salted. The coffee cake was good but could honestly be skipped. It was slightly dry at the edges and I wish the crumble on top was thicker. We got lucky, line was not too long. This place operates like Urth Caffé in L.A. Order at the counter, then you will be given a number stand, one of the staff members will seat you. You cannot have one of your party go grab a table. I asked to be seated outside. Even with the 105 heat, there are these strong fans with mist. You will not sweat. Here is what we ordered: - The Valley Latte - Strawberry Fields Matcha (don't know what they do to this Matcha drink, but it was insanely good. It tastes so different from all the other strawberry matchas I've ever had. Call me crazy but it kind of reminds me of tofu but in a good way). It is hard for staff and customers to navigate around the restaurant. Staff seemed confused bringing food and drinks out, not sure where to go. One of my items got forgotten. Overhyped? Not really, this place a was actually really good! I see why the line is always pouring out on to the street every weekend. 30 minute wait in line is somewhat worth it when we finally sat down and had an interesting and tasty breakfast. After all the posts on social media, we had to come check Sophia's out. We went this past Sunday morning. Upon arriving around 9:30am, there was a line out the door to order food. However, it moved pretty quickly. I'd say we waited about 20-25 minutes. After ordering, we were told to pick any open seats and that our food would be brought to us. Surprisingly, the food did not take long. It was probably about 40 minutes from the time we arrived to receiving our food, which is not terrible considering how busy this place gets. We ordered a breakfast burrito, an american breakfast, and a French toast, a cold brew, and a honey bee latte. The food was delicious. However, the coffee wasn't so great. We had wanted to go to Sophia's and actually made a couple of attempts, but as you'll see from my video, this place gets seriously long line. In the past we've just gone someplace else and vowed to come earlier in the day to avoid the line. We got up early-ish for a Saturday morning and made our way to Phoenix. I really love this building which was repurposed from an old house from the 1940s era. There's a glass wall that completely opens that runs diagonal across the building, and a patio with giant shades. A long silver communal table runs down the middle of the room and there are lots of little tables dotted around. Although this place is nearly designed, it has a fantastic retro look with white globe lights. They're also lots of plants and the place just feels bright and airy. There is a glass case with delicious looking pastries, and although there's no official bar, they do serve some cocktails like mimosas. We arrived at 9:00 and the line was already relatively long. My son grabbed a table while I got in line to order the counter - - this is a place where you order at the counter and they'll bring you your food when it's ready. We ordered an iced vanilla latte, a pecan sticky bun, chicken schnitzel which came with Caesar salad, and a honey Dill chicken sando. There was a mix-up, which I fully take responsibility for, and we did not receive the chicken sando - - again, my fault. We asked one of the servers about it and we learned it was never added to our order. No worries though, because the schnitzel and Caesar salad was gigantic and we ended up splitting that and the sticky bun. It was plenty of food for us. I have to give kudos because when we were out in the parking lot, the manager came out to hand us a gift card for the inconvenience of not having the chicken sando added to our order. It was not a big deal and it was my fault, but she was very kind and gave it to me anyway. I 100% recommend Sophia's, just come prepared to wait in line. It's worth it. read more

I've been so excited to finally come here since it's opened, and it totally didn't disappoint! As soon as I ran out the corner and drove up into the parking lot, I noticed there was a huge line which I was not surprised since it's only been a few months since opening. This was all good, because my eyes certainly had a feast upon the brilliant retro-modern decor and airy ambiance. Right before we reached the counter, an employee seated us to order through her. I'm assuming they split everyone near the counter whether it's a to go or a sitdown order? Nonetheless, we were glad that it was seating by a waitress since we were worried that finding a spot was going to be a challenge. I got the Matcha martini and the waffle, which was corn based I believe. Absolutely scrumptious!! The Matcha martini had a very deep Matcha flavor and it wasn't overly sweet, which was exactly how I liked it! 10/10!! Such a lovely little brunch spot! I love the flowers, the cacti, the arches, and the green pastel hues. It's all really pretty and tasteful. The food is delicious. I had the egg, avocado and cheese breakfast sandwich (not the official name), which comes with a side of tater tots. My friend had the crustless quiche (essentially, a frittata) and that was tasty too. The best part was of course that insanely delicious French toast. They have decaf espresso if you're sensitive to caffeine. Went on a weekday right at opening time before work, and there were only a couple other people there. Plenty of parking spots. We came at 9:30am On Sunday and there was a big line- thankfully it went fast but my friend who showed up at 9:45 had to wait 20-30 minutes longer than we did to place her order. We live in an age where beautiful Instagrammable spots get a lot of attention because of the esthetics seem to outweigh the main character which, in my opinion, is the food. But, I recently had another design-genius-with-a-latte-machine moment in this architectural marvel. The Unique Detail: This structure is one of the most aesthetically pleasing spaces in Phoenix. My friend and I stopped by Sophia's a brunch counter last weekend for brunch and it was pretty good. To order here, you wait in a line outside which was pretty toasty in the sun but they also had an outdoor fan to help people cool off. We waited for about 45 minutes before actually ordering but they provide menus to look over before you get to the counter. I got the valley latte and subbed honey for vanilla and it was pretty good! Fully expected a brunch place that was just here for the vibes. Came out incredibly satisfied with the food, service, and overall experience. Located next to the Beadle building on Thomas, Sophia's mimics the design with a metallic exterior while introducing beautiful arches, soft earthy tones, and an open-air environment. It's worth a visit for the building alone (don't forget to check out the restroom), but I was so impressed by the food!! The hidden gem: Sophia's Burger. I know this is a brunch spot, but you can't miss out. As someone who has only occasionally *liked* burgers, I can honestly say I *love* a burger for the first time. The quality and cook of the beef, with a bit of pink, was superb. There's a perfect ratio of caramelized onions, comté cheese, and oniony sauce (no drowning in ketchup or mayo!!). And the fries were SO crisp and well-seasoned. The ever-so-popular French toast was a hit too. The caramel interior was deliciously rich, and the bread was soft but not soggy. It's incredibly sweet as French toasts often are, so I recommend sharing, but it's a nice decadent treat. Service seems to have found its flow, and we were quickly guided to an open seat on a busy Friday after ordering. Water and utensils are conveniently ready at a clean station. What a unique and fun place to visit! We decided to hold our small team meeting here for brunch and not knowing what to expect, two of us arrived first and found a table on the patio. We really wanted to be inside just because it was a tad cool and eventually a table inside opened up so I skirted over to claim it. The server came and cleared the table but never came back to wash the table. I just used a couple of napkins to sweep off the crumbs. And little did we know but eventually the entire glass wall was opened up and it was just like sitting out on the patio! I also want to mention parking! It is tight and not easy to find a spot and we discovered that you could park in empty spots over at the office building next door but it was a small parking area for sure! Very small place with limited table and counter seating. You line up and order, are given a table number and food is brought to you. Everyone was friendly and attentive. Seemed a bit unorganized at times but it seems to work for them! I noticed that when servers brought meals to the tables, they never picked up the little table numbers and then a bit later one of the workers came around and picked up all of the numbers from the various tables...interesting and wondered if it would work better to serve the table, grab the number plate and take it back to the serving counter. Ok, shrugs! They have a very limited menu but what they offer is spectacular! I decided to have the egg sandwich, which comes with this magnificent, very tender milk bread with egg, bacon, cheese, avocado, and a mayo spread that says spicy but wasn't in the least. Comes with a small cup of fried tots that have some of this same spread over the top. The presentation of the sandwich was like I've never seen...see the photos! I was so pleased and look forward to another visit to try something else! I also asked for iced black tea which turns out to be more like a mango or passion fruit flavored tea and was really nice. I also got one of the maple pecan muffins, which they call "handpies" to go for the wife. They have a great case full of handpies and other wonderful looking pastry-type goodies. This spot was so incredibly cute! When we arrived on Sunday morning around 11:30 and boy was it packed on a perfect sunny day. The crowd wrapped around the corner of the entrance and folks sat outside feeling the bright sun on their happy faces. There was a lovely lady walking down the line apologizing for the delay and wait but there was no need for us, as we were enjoying spending time together in line, as I came with my MIL and daughter. It was so sweet. The foods looked incredible coming out and on people's tables so we were able to largely see a visual menu, which was so cool. We ordered a good amount of to go goodies and for brunch we had French toast and the breakfast fried rice and the Everly smoothie. I didn't get it but saw it a few times, the salmon, and knowing it's coming from Chula Seafood as one of their local partners - I'm sold. Overall experience was fantastic, delicious food, great service, attention to details, and the stickers they have that are free are soooo cute. I understand why the trend and how it got so popular and viral. But it's worth it and I'd wait again in that 45 min line to enjoy!
