I don't think I'll ever go back to a shop with just one person again. The only con is that prices go by hair length so sometimes it can be inconsistent. I recommend going during the week if you can because weekends tend to get extremely busy. There is metered street parking in the front of the salon and there is also a metered parking lot in the back. $1 for 2 hours! All hair types are welcomed! Definitely give this salon a try.

Was charged $55 total (45 for doobie, 10 for trim), says on the price list (35 and up for natural hair, my hair is thick/ long so ended up 45). Two big things I was hoping for was that it came out straight/ silky since my hair is thick/ 4b kinky curly & that they still thought about the health of the hair in the process. Both of these were met, hair looked shiny/ silky/ healthy. Only passed through 1 time as they straightened and I worried it wouldn't be as straight but was silky/ straight and better for my hair in the long haul. Wait time was best part, wasn't really busy but was Saturday before Valentine's Day so was glad to go in at 2 and get out by 4. Was seen immediately, as no one else was present, over time 2 other clients eventually came in as well. Customer service was also good, which can sometimes be lacking in doobie salon's, especially for Black women where you may feel exploited/ belittled. Felt like I was treated like any other customer would've been, very light positive, generally professional energy from all staff. They even had some hip hop playing amongst the bachata. Also saw a stylist who seemed Black and gender nonconforming, which made it seem even more inclusive (not that necessarily means anything as far as bias, just something positive I saw as far as representation). Cons: Minor things, location was difficult to find (located in the back of the barber shop so from outside looking in, just looks like a barber's). Two diff stylists were also switching out during the blow drying process, which I get cause it was a lot lol. But they had different blow drying methods so made me feel like the look was going to come out inconsistent (though thankfully it didn't). I booked with Maria, she took one look at my hair & texture and told me this is going to be a full session along with the reason why. She shown me areas of my hair that the hair stylist totally missed where I couldn't see myself. In addition, I told her I asked for money pieces/front swept bangs however, the previous hair stylist didn't blend it well at all. It was so choppy I was afraid it couldn't be salvaged. Mortified, I took her advice especially because this was going to be for my wedding. She reassured me that it can be fixed so, I booked a full session with her for the next day. Rest assured, the results were beyond what I imagined. Maria also gave me after care tips (I typically do not get that from hair stylists) so, you can tell how much her and her team cares about their clients. Unfortunately, I'm not from here, my now husbands family are. I don't think I will let anyone else touch my hair except for anyone at this salon. Whenever I come back to visit my in laws, I will most definitely make sure I book a session here as well!

Kelly does my color and as a blonde I am VERY picky. She always listens to what I want and gets it right EVERY TIME. I get tons of compliments. For my cut. I go to Jen P. and she's just as fantastic. She takes her time and gives a beautiful, detailed cut. My son even goes to her now and we will not see anyone else! I can't tell you how many people ask us about our hair. The hair stylist completely ignored me. She didn't even glance at the pictures I was trying to show her. She said I was "clearly the type of client who didn't maintain my hair." She talked over me when I tried to explain what I wanted and said she would do something similar that was easier to style on a daily basis. She asked how I felt about the length and I said I wanted to keep it below my shoulders. She cut more than six inches off and gave me a "karen cut" telling me "hopefully you can maintain this." I feel so embarrassed, judged, and frustrated that it's going to take at least a year to get it back to the length I want. It's like going to a restaurant ordering a burger and being told "No you're fat. Eat this salad--except you can leave the restaurant and get the burger for your next meal and not wait a year.

Julie was my stylist and she did a really nice job on my hair - would definitely recommend her. It's been a couple months since I got my hair done, and it still looks beautiful! I really wanted my hair to look naturally lightened and Julie did a really good job making it look like that. It took a couple of hours (~4) to finish my hair, but was definitely worth the time. For partial balayage + extra bowl of lightener + blowout it ended up being $196. The only thing that surprised me was the extra bowl of lightener (an extra $55), but my hair is super long. If you have similar length hair and need to lighten your hair, just be prepared. Would definitely recommend paramount pampering and can't wait to get my hair touched up when coronavirus is over.

I had never dyed my hair before, but Casey checked in with me every step of the way--making sure that I was happy during the entire process. She also gave me tips on how to refresh the color in between visits to the salon. The end result was lovely and I still get compliments on it today! The salon itself was extremely clean and all employees took care to clean and sanitize everything in between customers. I was very apprehensive about doing anything to my hair, but I'd trust Casey with my hair any day. I'm planning on booking another service soon--I can't recommend them enough. :)

And, they started falling out on day three. I called the owner Fatima and she agreed to have the lady redo the messed up and big braids. They were all rude, and I'd never return or recommend them!
