This was our second trip to the Tile Shop on the southside. Our first was to select tile for a…read morebacksplash in our kitchen. Nearly ten years later, we were able to find the same tile and the complementary smaller trim tiles to replace the damaged ones we had when we changed counter tops through a different company. I won't guarantee that if you make a purchase, and need more at a later time they will have it, but it definitely influenced my rating. Like the other reviewers, the customer service could be more welcoming. We wandered the spacious store looking for something to go with our tile and when the small staff did not greet us, my wife simply took matters into her own hands and asked one of the staff (when she finished on the phone) if she could help us. They just don't have many folks on the floor to assist. Maybe if they shifted priority to helping in house customers instead of dealing with other tasks, they would have a better overall rating. The most frustrating thing my wife encountered was that they didn't have the boxes for the items you wanted stacked nearby. So, we couldn't tell if the items were available in the quantities we wanted without asking. Again, not having many people working means there may be delays in getting answers. Fortunately, they weren't that busy during our visit and my wife was able to get the small quantity of items packaged and ready to go in just a short visit. Overall, they have a lot of beautiful displays to inspire customers for future projects. I thought the prices reflected the different quality of materials, so you have a lot of control over how much your renovation can run based upon the materials you choose. Kathy in particular has always helped us, and she definitely knows her stuff, whether it's floor tile, backsplash tile, carpet, wood flooring or whatever else they have that you might want; and is of course available. I physically went into the ProSource South showroom on November 19th. On that day, I picked out…read morecarpet, final planks, vanity base, and vanity top what the help of David the manager. I was told the products would be in around 2 to 3 weeks, so was looking forward to having them installed in early to mid December. There was some issue with my vanity top, so repeat measurements were taken on November 30th. I was told the top would be in either the week before Christmas (this week) or the week of Christmas. Long story short, my general contractor told me yesterday that ProSource told him my vanity top won't be in until January 8th. It is so easy to blame the holidays for these delays, but this should have been handled in a more timely fashion so as to avoid using that excuse. I was so looking forward to getting my home and life mostly back to normal just before Christmas. This ordeal has ruined my family's Thanksgiving and now Christmas & New Year's too ! I also appreciate David not returning my phone calls and so-called account manager Staci not returning my email. Excellent customer service, ProSource, NOT !

They were polite. They charge you more if you use a card by 4% but I didn't see this listed online anywhere. I just don't see that I saved a whole lot of money here versus Aldi's or some of the other places I go. But if you're in the area go.

Saw a post on TT talking about the Manager Specials for the weekend and decided I needed to finally…read moremake my way over there! There were some produce deals I couldn't pass up. It's a very unassuming location so I wasn't sure what to expect when I walked in. The produce is the first section you walk into as you enter so that was good because I didn't have to go searching for the deals. Everything I wanted was still in stock and I found a few extra treats that weren't on the list at great prices(ex. 7.5oz Wholly Guacamole bowls for $1 each-a steal!) I ended up buying blackberries, raspberries, Vidalia onions, zucchini, squash, Cincinnati Reds peanuts, spring mix and arugula and my total was less than $16. The deal is that everything is probably close to their "best by" date but for such a low price I can afford to "use em or lose em". I browsed around the store to see what else they had and I may have to check out some of their clothing next time because it looked like some good deals to be had in that area as well. I'll definitely be back.

I'll try to explain this "Not Good" rating as briefly as possible. If there was an option for…read more"Sucked" it would be more appropriate. In short, this man took my $2000 deposit, and over nearly two years (pre-COVID), failed to complete a single task in the contract. I asked for my money back and sent a demand letter. Dave gave excuses such as other jobs running over, personal injuries/limitations, family health issues, etc. He complained about how many times he had to come to my house to talk about the plans. While I admit that I did have an evolving vision that sometimes needed a face to face discussion, most of his trips were for his benefit, not mine (e.g., had to re-measure several times and even asked me to take measures to send). He stated that his right to keep the deposit was based on work already done. I never saw anything done. He also tried to withhold some of my items as "collateral" and in legal terms, that's called theft. I eventually had to make a trip to his workshop to pick up my property. I cannot speak to the quality of Dave's work, but I can share with you that he took advantage of someone in a state of grieving. I felt bad for each of his reasons as to why he couldn't finish the project because I was in a fragile state. In hindsight, I was manipulated. Dave may respond to this with unsubstantiated excuses. Near the end of my correspondence wit Dave, he sent me a final invoice that was $4000 over my quoted price stating that the job had caused him extra work and travel that was not anticipate. Again, I share with you that he NEVER DID ANYTHING in my house. Please choose a different carpenter to save yourself some time and money, and some very likely heartache.

So far...excellent !…read more Recently had a former employee liberate much of my belongings....mercifully being too damn stupid to steal the antiques... ...however...they did manage to damage. ..including cutting open seat cushions ?? Really ?? did ya think I was Tony Montana ??? cocaine stashed in the furniture ? ...anyway...called several restoration company's....who..apparently are all millionaires, lottery winners....or likely both....since no one bothered to call me back...even with several messages...helloooo ? Morons ? thousands to make !! ....except for Dave with FINIsmith... Dave came over the next day...looked at everything...made appropriate cooing noises....and said "yup...there is an app for that !" ....shocker of all shockers....he actually shot me an estimate later that day...in other words he exceeded what he said he would do...must be something wrong with him ?? The estimate was less than I expected...and..he showed up the next day to pick up the items....and....get this....ON TIME ! definitely something wrong with him....really....what contractor shows up on time ?? most have graduated summa cum laude from the Comcast school of rank non-professionalism. He is also going to build some custom cabinets to show off my beer coaster and matchbook collection. If ya need any restoration...refinishing...custom cabinets...give ol' Dave a shot at earning your business ! ....and...ladies...he is single...and a spittin' image of Ernest Borgnine !
