Swim class at Cutting Edge K9
    Julie H.

Bringing my yellow lab Daisy to Cutting Edge K9 was one of the best things I ever did for her. In 2014 Daisy was injured and could barely walk she was put on pain medication and her vet recommended I take her to see Trish at Cutting Edge K9. I am so glad I took his advice and gave her a call Daisy was 11 years old and had never been swimming. We have a pool but she never wanted to go in. When I took her class she could barely walk and I wasn't sure what to expect. Daisy and I were both very happy with the results she loved that there were other dogs for her to swim with. We noticed results right away she was not only a happier dog because she loves swimming with your new friends but she was walking a lot better. We both met so many wonderful people and wonderful dogs. Daisy made a best friend another yellow lab her name was Sandy. Sandy's mom and I have stayed good friends Even after Daisy was doing much much better I kept her swimming which I know kept her going strong till she passed away at 13 a few months ago. I highly recommend Cutting Edge K9 Thank you Trish

Our 15 month old female Douge de Bordeaux (Kinzi) had to have surgery due to angular limb deformity. After a very long 7 weeks of limited mobility we were referred to Trish Penick and Cutting Edge K9 Rehab. Also suggesting that Kinzi's twin brother, Rooney, would benefit too due to his large body mass and joint inflammation. We started swim therapy on March 26, 2016 and have been going almost every weekend since. I truly believe that Kinzi recovered so quickly from the surgery because of Trish's therapy. She has fully recovered but we still feel that this is a much better exercise for our pups. They love it and get so excited when we pull up.

We've been working with Trish for only three weeks now and we've already seen a major change in our dog, Bro. Trish takes 30 minutes every week to swim with Bro, work with Bro, and challenge him to use his brain and his muscles. This is great exercise for our pup and it's already helping his brain condition. I highly recommend Trish with her skills and Cutting Edge K9

I immediately gravitated towards her because she had a way of explaining things that made sense to me. We stayed in touch even after puppy graduation and I would text her from time to time to ask questions or stay in touch. I found her on social media and loved her training information. Then when my now 1.5 year old puppy was full grown and became harder to manage we got back in touch and she'd offer suggestions. Finally when she neared the age of 2 I realized I needed professional help Amillie came in and once again explained things even on our first session in a way I could understand and broke down behaviors for me. I actually have 2 giant breed Greater Swiss mountain dogs and she has helped me with training both of them. Mainly frustration reactivity for my younger female "puppy" and then being able to successfully loose leash walk both of them together (2 strong willed and physically strong, with a combined weight of ~200 lb) female dogs. Each time we meet I leave with so much information. She's been great and I only wish we started training them with Amillie when my girls were younger. You won't regret this partnership or Amillie's expertise. Training comes natural to her. It's a gift and that's with me already having had 2 large breed independent dogs before working with her!

What other vet is open on a Sunday besides an emergency vet?! Love ALL the staff-knowledgeable, professional, kind, caring & nice! The tech before the vet came in, asked really good questions to help understand the issue. Loved that Dr. Greenfield got down on the floor to greet our little boy AND remembered what he treated him last for over 1/2 a year ago. Asking update questions. Both natural help & medical from their vets. Only took seconds for Dr. Greenfield to figure out what caused our little boy Cashew's issue by asking us the perfect questions and info that triggered us to give the issue's answer. He gave us a natural suppliment to help that they had there. Once home, our little boy is regular again and feeling so much better. The BEST vet clinic ever! Seriously! We've had so many bad, thank God we found this place and Dr. Sheila again too!

When I called, the receptionist first placed me on hold. After returning, I explained my bird's symptoms -- he has been unusually quiet, puffed up, and having watery droppings for about two weeks. She then asked if I was a new client, and after I said yes, I was placed on hold again. A while later, she returned and told me I should take my bird to an emergency vet. I asked why, since although he is not acting normally, he is still eating and moving around. She simply repeated that because I said he was not well, I needed to go to emergency care. I explained that I was trying to schedule a regular appointment, not emergency treatment, so once again I was placed on hold. Eventually, the avian specialist came on the phone and informed me that if I wanted an appointment, I would need to pay $120 in advance for exams in order to secure it. The entire interaction felt dismissive, confusing, and very impersonal. Instead of feeling supported or guided, I felt pressured and frustrated. I ultimately decided to take my bird somewhere else.

It's such a great SD store that has a boutique feel and carries such a variety of products and many items I never knew existed. The staff were super friendly and love that my dog enjoyed all the treats they gave him. Both of the employees I spoke with were super knowledgeable and really had a passion for dogs. I ended up buying some flower essence and another other calming item, which I didn't know had existed and was happy I was introduced to them by the staff. I will say that I am most impressed and pleased that they fully support rescues and adoptions and we received a "share the love" gift that included some great items like a bag of food that was so generous. Not to mention that it's a woman-owned small business. I'll definitely be back and am looking forward to checking out the other locations!

I told her I wanted a compact haircut for my dog and sent a few reference photos. Wow--she absolutely nailed it! The haircut turned out even better than I expected. She paid great attention to detail, and my pup looked fantastic when I picked him up. She even gave him a little "BBL" makeover--LOL! Connie is clearly a highly skilled groomer who takes pride in her work. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a talented and caring groomer. She is worth every penny, and I will definitely be back. Thank you, Connie!

It's hard to take people seriously when they only received a Yelp account just to give one negative review. And also try and understand what a one star really means. If you were pleased by a service but upset by the price, then that's not one star, that's probably three. Anyway, let me continue on. I've been coming to Dirty Dogs since they first set up shop here. I usually do self wash for my Lab mix. I appreciate the aprons, the warm water, all the shampoo and brushes, the cotton balls for the ears. Most of the people who work here are super nice and clearly love dogs and are always willing to help. I usually cook my dog's food but sometimes I'll buy their raw food to add to his food. I also love the natural products they have and good treats. You can tell that they are pushing clean products. Recently, we got a 3 year old maltipoo. She's tiny only 11 pounds. Her disposition is skittish, and honestly groomers are NOT dog trainers. They can only do so much. The several times I've brought her in, they've tried very hard to groom her. She's just not comfortable with anything. But she still comes out great every time. With that being said, I want to do a shout out to Klarissa who groomed the maltipoo and Lab mix with ease, that when maltipoo came back she was actually fine, even though I knew she gave her problems being still. She even included the paw pad shave even though I chose three for the package. I'm very happy with the service and glad she was able to cut her nails short which is tough to do since her nails are black. No scars or marks. Proof in pics and definitely not AI. Also shoutout to Lauren who was great to chat with and treated both dogs with love. Yes it is pricey. As anything is when it's a service. But considering where it's located, what did you expect? Wait for the deals, they usually send texts when services are discounted.
